  1. Whaley's Achilles heal is his ability to scout and draft QBs. He seems to draft big guys with strong arms that lack accuracy and have a low football IQ.

Meanwhile the emphasis in the league has been on accuracy, quick release, and the ability to read the field. The Bills had a chance to draft many of the up-and-coming young QBs in the league, but Whaley let them pass by. The vast majority of those guys are under 6'4".

You have to wonder if Whaley let them slip by because the didn't fit his view of a prototypical QB.

    Man ain't that the truth😵🤔

  2. While I agree on Lynn NOT being head coach, as I'm not sure he's even past mediocre as an OC, I'm still not sure about Whaley.

I get the distinct impression that a real coaching staff could have willed this talent to a better record the last two years.

What I dont like about Whaley is he is too busy as a GM. I don't recall a previous GM making roster move after roster move, in season.

If they kept him, it wouldn't kill me. If they let him go, who would they bring in.

  3. Wow, a discussion with realistic Bills fans.

    I picked 7-9.

I didn't get the Sunday ticket and was called a Troll for saying so in the Sunday Ticket thread.

A bunch of us said we wanted to see C. Jones in and we're castigated for not " understanding" football. Apparently Whaley doesn't either.

Rex was an obvious joke after one season and all the koolaid drinkers said we were being too impatient.

He ruined a potentially great defense in one year. This D is a joke as is the QB.

The Bills are a joke. Sad but true.

Cardale needs to finish the season, we need a coach who can actually coach.

  4. Rushing him into the game when he's not ready is not a way of being him along. The coaches see him every day, they know where he stands. They think he's good enough to be inactive every Sunday.

I HATE this argument every time I see it.

What has Rex done to convince you he has a damned clue about QB talent?

No coach has ever refused to make a change for a stupid reason like ego?

Ryan's stupid look at me and my big fancy defense book I'm a genius ass won't bench TT because he would have to admit he was wrong!!!

Get Jones in and let's start looking for a new QB

  5. I already have ad nauseum you mouth breather.

    Review:

    1) gut the front office and raid the staffs of top contenders (ne, gb, Pitt, ) to replace.

    2) trade off all high dollar underperforming contracts, eat the cap hit next year.

    3) allow the new front office to choose a coach

    4) draft quarterbacks every year in appropriate spots

    5) focus on draft development and never ever ever sink too much money into players with drug or injury histories

I believe if you do this for a period of five years you would see a completely different franchise and for the better.

Sounds about right. Sticking with Rex for another year does " Nothing" to further the Bills. We could easily be 8-8, 7-9, 6-10 by the end of next years run if we keep him.

    C. Jones is a POSSIBLE answer but heaven forbid the suggestion be made that he get some game time this year. He may turn into Suzy Jones and be irreparably harmed by experience. Maybe we can sit him for four years like TT.

And in regards to blowing things up( something's need to be blown up) I will never forgive Rex for blowing up Swartzies defense. We could have built a hell of a team around that D.

  6. I honestly fell in love with when he sat in the pocket and shrugged off a linebacker like he was a water boy

They physical traits on C. Jones scream to me that this could be a qb we groom for the future.

People are so worked up about TT's contract......it has off sets that allow us to walk away at given times. How about we get some pass catchers that can actually make plays.

What exactly did he say wrong here?

    That would be a mistake.

This is a player we need to take our time with and not ruin his confidence.......

Winning two or three worthless games would ruin a bunch of fans confidence in this organization's ability to not " pad their stats" and screw their draft slot up at the same time.

If we get to that point(5-8) the season is over and TT/EJ have proven their inability to start in the NFL.

Getting Jones time against Cleveland would be appropriate. If he craps the bed, no harm- no foul. But if he has a decent outing he might GAIN confidence. Truth is nobody knows and quite frankly, staring at Prescott on the front of ESPN mag. Tells me the Bills FO aren't all knowing/ all seeing.
