  1. I had a beer in the first quarter and I did not TIVO the game
  2. I was, literally, in a state of mourning after that game. I still can't stand to look at it.
  3. That would be great, as I have resigning myself to that fate. I haven't lived in Buffalo for years, but my love for the team is completely due to my love for the City - if they left, I could no longer be a fan.
  4. Been a fan since the '60s - this is pretty bad because we have been so bad for so long. At least in the early '70s our offense was fun to watch - we had two years of pretty good teams in 1980 and 1981 (if memory serves me correctly) - then it got reeeaaaaalllllly bad - back to back 2-14 seasons in the mid '80s. The problem is that it is bad being a fan of this team MOST OF THE TIME.
  5. We don't need to cut anyone until we get a NFL-quality o-line...nobody can win behind this group
  6. There really is nothing wrong with career politicans, what is wrong is politicians being beholden to lobbyists and other special interests. Some people will go to DC, shout loud, and get NOTHING done.
  7. I partly agree with you, but you gotta walk that line very carefully - without unions, there would not have been a middle class worth counting. I know they get besides themselves sometimes, but 'free' markets don't create middle classes - they create a small aristocracy and large peasant classes. No worker power, no worker pay.
  8. I am not a defender, but if would have been nice to see the guy get a little protection - the offensive line was pretty bad.
  9. I like your enthusiasm, but we haven't won all home games since Kelly was QB.
  10. I think it was about $120 when I first signed up in 1995 - I'm signed up for 2010.
  11. Agree - I think this is a great 'on-the-field' move for them.
  12. I grew up in Buffalo - went to my first game at the Rockpile - I don't feel like I had any choice - I live in northern NJ and have had DirectTV since 1995 - Go Bills!
  13. I agree - one could say that it ages well! I graduated in 1974.
  14. Born in the old Meyer Memoial Hospital (Erie County Medical Center) on July 22, 1956; Lived on the lower east side, north side and Clarence - attended PS #53, #81, Bennett High and graduated from Williamsville HS North; Went to Buff State for a year before transferring away to college; worked at Cavages records while in college (UB store, Main Place Mall and Eastern Hills Mall); I have not lived in Buffalo for any meaningful length of time since 1975. I have lived in Washington, DC, Jacksonville, FL, Ann Arbor, MI (for 2 years of Business School) and have been in Northern NJ since 1991. People all over the country know me as a Bills fan and those who have known me long enough know that I was a fan even when they were bad....really bad. I have been coming to this board since around 1997/1998 - mostly reading. I got married in 1992 and my only prenup was that I could continue going to the sports bar on Sundays to watch the Bills - she stuck to it and I got Sunday Ticket in 1995. I now take it with me to watch it, while I watch my oldest daughter play soccer on fall Sundays. Sometimes I don't want to be a Bills fan, but I am and always will be, as long as they are in Buffalo. Don
  15. I have been signed up since 1995, the second year they offered it and I will sign up again. I get Super Fan and usually watch the games on my laptop while my 13 year-old plays soccer because her games are usually at the same time. I get disappointed in the level of play, but I think, in some ways, it represents more than a game to me. It is my last real link to Buffalo because all of my immediate family has left.
  16. That was funny - but I liked JP - sorry things didn't work out for him
  17. why can't one disagree with Dungy's need to help troubled players without questioning his coaching skills - they are different issues and his coaching expertise has bee proven. Anytime you can take a perennial loser (Bucs) and make them a winning organization - you have done something special. Didn't they win the superbowl the year after he left against a raiders team that did not even change their signals when playing in the SB against their former coach? Dungy is a good coach - period. Whether you agree with his social agenda is a different story.
