I’d bet that you just occasionally visit here and didn’t see it before. Quick answer: Love Tre, he is a fantastic CB. Josh has great potential. But in this league you take a top 5 QB every time over those.

Saleh was not expected to be that serious of a candidate for the Browns HC position. His interview nearly got him the job. It was extremely close between Stefanski (who had the advantage of being Depodesta’s guy the previous year) and him. That guy is going to be a HC in the league very soon.

I don’t see the point in rehashing passing on Mahomes at this point. It’s been done to death. We should have drafted him. We didn’t. Arguing otherwise is ridiculous, but now everyone needs to move on. For the record some of us were calling for the Bills to draft Mahomes. I sure was and I was pissed off when they traded out and let the Chiefs have him. I wanted the Bills to take him - or failing that, the Browns (who I also root for) to trade up for him. Watching neither get him was a bad as watching the Browns trade out with the Bills for Sammy Watkins and both passing on Khalil Mack.

Reid certainly moved up a tier in coaching hierarchy with this win. If he never got the SB win he’d be sitting in the Marty Schottenheimer tier.

That’s a hell of a stat. Wow. ? I looked them up and I didn’t realize that the Chiefs are the only one of the four that didn’t pop their championship cherry this year. Again. Wow. Sure beats seeing the Warriors, Pats/Steelers, Penguins and Yankees/Red Sox win yet another title.

I agree, Bar Bill has always been on point for wings and beef on weck. Possibly the best I’ve had. My daughter touts Gabriel’s Gate’s wings as her favorite. Not a bad choice either. I haven’t been to the new Bar Bill location on Main in Clarence yet tho. Too crowded so far. One thing I heard from one of the Gate owners (Bill) is that you can’t expect wings to stay crispy if you put them in a carry out container. He hates it when people complain about that. Eat them in the restaurant!

Don’t feel bad for the Falcons. The article talked about the team reselling PSLs that we’re defaulted on or given up by non-renewal of season tickets, but I want to drive the reality of that home. The selling point of a PSL is that the people who attend the games pay more toward the stadium. That’s fine. It makes sense. But only a single sale of each PSL is on the ledger to offset the cost of building the stadium. So it actually pays to have a team that fluctuates between winning and losing over time. That’s because the PSLs sell out when the team does well. Then when it does poorly people can’t sell their PSLs and they have to chose between forfeiting them or continuing to buy season tickets that they otherwise would not buy. Either way the team comes out ahead. They’re selling more tickets than they should in down years and they get to resell the forfeited PSLs. They also get to sell the tickets attached to forfeited PSLs while they wait on new buyers. It’s a horrible racket. I got taken once. Never again.

Buffalo: Tough to get people to move to it and tough to get people to leave. A lot gets made of income tax, but many players also look at cost of living. You can live like a king in Buffalo for what you can barely scrape by on in places like SF.

Sure. Rodgers’ comments could be due to a lot of different reasons, but those are pretty much all good or neutral where AVP is concerned. It’s a lot better than Rodgers being happy he was gone, right? At minimum it means nothing, at best it’s a good sign.

I’ve been thinking about this and looking up some facts and I have some thoughts: A big factor is the physical abilities that have been bred into pits. They were bred to fight bulls, bears and other dogs. They have incredible jaw strength to bite and hold. It makes sense that a dog breed that is as physically gifted in those areas as pits are would be effective killers. Another factor is their prevalence and social unacceptability. There are a lot of them - although not nearly as many as would account for the number of attacks by them. Still there are a lot. They are shunned socially. They aren’t allowed in many cities (okay, suburbs mostly) and are often uninsurable. Those are probably a big reason they are all over adoption places. They are also often purchased as guard dogs in places where break ins and burglary are a real threats. I’m guessing most are not trained well in those circumstances. They really don’t need to be as no one in their right mind is breaking into a house with a pit when they can just move to the next one. So you get a mix of those dogs winding up at adoption places. There are many great pits out there, but I’d wager that there is a bigger percentage of maladjusted pits than other breeds at shelters. If you won’t ever trust a pitbull regardless of circumstance, then I think that’s unfair. But if people like Gungy want to avoid dogs of that breed that they don’t know to be safe, I don’t blame them. As I said before, I wouldn’t have a pitbull in the house with small children. There are other breeds - Akita comes immediately to mind - that I also wouldn’t have around kids. A pit isn’t just going to just snap one day because they are a pit. Good dogs are good dogs, but they are still dogs. And that breed can do some real damage if motivated so there’s no harm in some caution. Still, I have two friends with two pits each and they are fantastic dogs I trust as much as any other.

I doubt that would change anything. As long as it’s the public that’s paying the lion’s share of the capital cost of increasing revenue for private franchises, then the NFL is going to make that happen. You want your NFL team to stick around? Then pay up.

I suspect job one for AVP is going to be putting his foot up Baker’s arse. It’ll be interesting to see how they work together. Baker had a QB coach he loved his rookie year and he looked like the real deal. Then in Year 2 he had one he clashed with and he fell to the bottom of the league. There is a ton riding on this hire. I don’t know much about AVP, but I did read where Aaron Rodgers was pissed off when the team didn’t retain him. That speaks well for him. On the other side, Baker knows he effed up last season and he may be ready for the hard coaching he’s going to get. I hope these two click.

I have two friends that each own multiple pits/pit mixes. All are wonderful, loving dogs. I’d even own one now, but I would never take the chance if I had a small child in the house. Edit: For the record there are other breeds that I would categorize similarly.

I tried, but lost the remaining tiny bit of interest I still had the moment Breck showed up in Joe’s neighborhood looking to run into him. I’m interested in what happened to the owner of the bookshop. Seems like there was a long revenge game by Joe that played out and I’m interested in that flashback, but I’m not watching another season plus to find out what happened. I’d welcome a spoiler on that.

Might help with injuries on a landing with major issues, but that’s about it. Can’t have them going off at weird angles and hurting other passengers though. Airbags can do serious damage.
