  1. I am missing why 6 million a year is setting people on fire- he is supposed to be a good blocker and has had a good offensive year- 6 million is what guys like that get in NFL. I bet Jesse James gets much more.
  2. I am an eternal optimist about everything- just not my brothers who are always wrong.

  3. I will make two obvious assumptions about gore: 1) he will carry ball 6-8 times a game amd usually when we need tough yards. 2) he will be used as a blocker more often then a runner.
  4. It is very strange that a franchise whose value is so high is so low on revenue- i assume it is it least partly due to them moving but to be below the chargers is crazy.
  5. All of this is so true so i do not think making him highest paid on a 4 year deal makes sense. If he could do 4 years 48 million maybe but i think he gets more now
  6. I will expand this also to family men- Buffalo is a great place to live with a family. I live in orlando and the magic have a difficult time recruiting single dudes but the ones with families are easier sells when the magic are winning.
  7. I am definitely going by position vs player-OL unless Josh Allen is there(which I highly doubt) maybe Hockenstein it we believe he is a truly good blocker but we need OL help and the draft appears deep there.
  8. This is sadly possible- no offensive players want to show up for less than big money. I understand that though if I can get paid relatively the same and the Texans are calling most single dudes would prefer that situation both on the field and off the field.
  9. Story is believable to me based on what i have heard about him being a diva- not a process guy at all.
  10. Wait you mean that having a winning team will make getting free agents easier? I had no idea that would matter. But how did my stating buffalo is not exciting turn into this rant?
  11. I believe this is correct-I know it has happened before but I am not certain it is in every contract.
  12. NFL is all about cost vs production-therefore pass on all. but I like Clowney most of the three and by quite a bit.
  13. If he cost 13+ million i would not go near him. I can not beleive anyone gives a NE lineman money like that when they cut him
  14. we will have to agree to disagree unless one of us can line this fight up(do you know Tyree Jackson by chance?)-but the reason boxing went to weight classes is too many small dudes were being pounded by much larger men and people did not want to pay to see it. Lastly I am not questioning toughness of Smith but toughness does not make up for that much height and power.
  15. Wow yao ming was actually 70 lbs heavier and 9 inches taller-same as malone vs stockton- my point is you found the major exception to the rule and were so proud of your cleverness. There is a reason they have boxing weight classes and it is because little dudes get messed up by big dudes in fair fights.
  16. How about demarcus cousins vs steph curry? You had to pick a dude who retired 8 years ago after being injured his entire career. Clever. But i will play along- you would probably take john stockton over karl malone.
  17. All the comments about how crazy steve smith is, while accurate, are not needed because 80% of NFL is crazy. If you play a game at a high level where every week you get hit that much in the head it makes you nuts. Few hit the age of 50 without some major mental issues. I will take the dude with 50 lbs and 8 inches every day in a straight fight. Both dudes are arhletes so yeah i take Jackson everyday all day.
  18. I hope Buffalo is looking at Ross from AZ and Johnson from Orlando- both seem to have good hands and i really think they could part of a strong recieving corp that goes 5 deep relatively cheap. I do not like the idea of spending big money on WR since QB makes WR look good- or bad- so often. I get your logic but I think they are worried about XFL being successful and Would rather break even on a product that they control then have a different league pop up and be successful against the NFL wishes.
  19. As I read mostly reasonable responses I realize how absurd the premise is- you must have total loyalty to one team. It is built on the concept that the NFL is anything more than an entertainment venture. No one sanely argues you can only like one movie studio or one genre of book. I do not begrudge somone the right to be all in but the argument you must be is absurd.
  20. I grew in rochester and love Syracuse and Army in football but live in orlando and root for UCF. If they play each other i will figure out order but i definitely have multiple teams in college.
  21. The first line is most important- guys like NFL head coaches need to be proven wrong after they make a decision and Zay has not been proven bad- even though he is a long way from proven good. Also i do not think we will have 5 better recievers this year on roster and he is not a huge salary.
  22. I have watched several game each week and it shows me how few guys on defenses are truly great and how many work with certain systems- basically how many cbs can be press or zone but not both and true of all defense positions
  23. I think people on here might be jumping the gun the list of people whose name will come out- while Kraft will likely be the " biggest" to most i bet they will release a few politicians names befpre this is done.
  24. That is the only reason this story is so disturbing- otherwise it is simply embarassing but not something worth the effort.
