I went to the UCF graduation for the engineers this past weekend and I could not help but notice the majority of the students were minorities, probably in the neighborhood of 65% were black, Hispanic, middle eastern or Asian. Why this struck me so much is that UCF is quickly climbing the ranks of both academics and sports but at no point did they broadcast their racial diversity but did brag about their socio economic climbers.
