Finally, the Bills are back to being on CBS. No more cheesy robot graphics and low color image on the TV. We have Kevin Harlan and Rich Gannon calling the game, better than anybody on FOX.

Tim Brando along with color man Brandon AyanBadejo will be calling the game for this FOX telecast. The original announcer that FOX had scheduled, Mike Goldberg (UFC broadcaster), got the boot after the poor job he did last week during the Lions/Vikes game. Personally, I like Tim Brando and the energy that he brings to the booth. He usually does SEC football stuff on CBS but will occasionally call games for FOX.

2004 when they fell 1 game short of a playoff berth....

1.) Orton looks light years better than Manuel and can actually lead a competent NFL offense and can throw for 300 yards 2.) Jerry Hughes is becoming an elite pass rusher and we basically stole him from the Colts 3.) Special teams coverage has been great all year and has not made any glaring mistakes. 4.) We have young WR talent all over the roster and they will continue to get better as they gain more experience and become more in sync with Orton. 5.) We are actually pretty healthy 6 games into the season for the first time in a long time. 5.) Our Next 4 games: At home vs 1-5 Vikes, at 1-5 Jets, bye, 2-3 Kansas City at home, and at 2-3 Miami. With that schedule we can easily go 3-1 and perhaps even 4-0. We are better than all of those teams. I know it sucks to lose to the Pats, especially at home in what seemed like a winnable game, but we are still 3-3 and very much in contention for a good season. We are going into the easier part of our schedule and this is time for us to get some wins and make the last part of the season actually count for something.

Will the Bills be on CBS next week or are they stuck being shown on FOX's cheesy presentation every week?

Gus Johnson needs to make a return to CBS. Why didnt they retain him a few years back?

The Bills/Dolphins game, a battle of 1-0 teams, gets the lowest rated announcing team for CBS of Tom McCarthy and Adam Archuleta. Who on earth is Tom McCarthy and why doesnt this game at least warrant an announcing team that somebody has heard of?

If everybody in the AFC loses and we win out can we still make the playoffs this year?!

Its nice going into the draft and for once we dont have a million holes to fill. We actually have the luxury of going with the best player available. We "could" use upgrades at a couple positions but we arent in dire need to fill any certain position.

10-6 playoff team next year. We wont suffer the typical rookie mistakes of first year coaching staff and first year QB. We lost a number of games this year because of that, not because we arent talented enough.

If we truly are a playoff team then in no way should we be losing to a team as bad as Atlanta no matter where the game is played at. For that matter, we shouldnt lose to the Tampa Bay's of the world either if we are indeed a playoff team. We had plenty of other chance this season to show that we are a playoff team and we did not come through as usual.

Exactly. Knows right where to be but just cant get there fast enough. On occasion, like last week's goaline stop, he will fight through a block and make a nice play.

He has good instincts and football smarts but he is limited physically and typically slow to the play. He is a good backup but not really starting material.

Yea you both make great points. I was just kinda curious as to why the Bills, and for that matter, most teams rarely run sweep plays anymore. I feel like 10-15 years ago these plays were more common.

I know people on here have adamantly talked about trying to get Spiller the ball in space. So why dont we EVER run toss sweep plays and give him the chance to get the ball in space with a full head of steam going?

He is at best a decent backup nothing more.

We need a big, tall guy that will go over the middle and make tough catches. We havent had a good jump ball receiver since Eric Moulds. Mike Evans, despite his less than ideal speed, would probably be our best bet.
