can we stop with these, "The playoffs begin now for the Bills" posts? They started after the Miami game and lets be honest, we will be lucky to end the year with 9 wins. No playoffs once again this year.

This happened a few years ago between Eagles and Vikes and the game was shown nationally so i imagine it will either be shown on ESPN as double header like you said or NFL Network

I now live out of state and I really hope it is shown on national TV.

I read somewhere a few days ago that the game may only be available to the Buffalo and NY markets if it got moved to Monday. Is that still true or will it be a nationally televised game?

During the 2004 Mularkey season, we were 4-6 through 10 games, had only a 2-6 conference record, and we trailed several teams that were 8-3 and 7-4. We ended the season 9-7 and we were a last game of the season win vs Pittsburgh away from a playoff berth. We are actually in better shape now then we were back then If we get to 7-5 heading into December we still have a shot. Its really not completely over yet

Can we get by with Woods, Williams, Hogan and Chandler. With our defense I would like to think that we still have a pretty good shot. Hopefully its minor and he plays on Sunday

I read through this same article yesterday and could not believe that they did not include the Bills. I kept scrolling down waiting to see what they said about Buffalo and was shocked when they didnt even include us in the article. I read through again just to make sure that I didnt miss us and sure enough those Morons did not even put us in there

Its pointless halfway through the season to try and predict the playoff field. Anything can and will happen between now and then. A team that looks dead in the water right now could get on a hot streak and sneak into the playoffs while a team that is playing well with a good record could tank and finish the season out of the playoffs.

Still have no idea how we lost that game, with everything riding on it and Pitt playing their third stringers, although some of those third stringers ended up becoming really good players.

Personally, I think the 2004 Defense was better than the 99 and current defense. They had a great pass rush, two stud LB's and plenty of talent in the secondary. Its a shame that team never got a chance in the postseason because they got hot at the right time and definitely could have done some damage. Just my two cents

Yea i thought conference record comes first as well but what about when there are 3 or more teams?

Okay so because Baltimore and Pittsburgh are in the same division, Baltimore "cancels out" Pittsburgh because they beat them in the division standings and then we beat out Baltimore because of the Strenght of victory tiebreaker-gotcha now. Not that it really matters only halfway through the season but still its good to know. I feel like its gonna take 10-11 wins to get a wildcard not gonna be easy :/

and what exactly puts us in over Baltimore then? We both have 2-3 AFC records...

Why is Pittsburgh below us with the same record and a better AFC record at 4-2?

I was actually thinking the exact same thing the other day, and the idea of Orton filling a Drew Bledsoe role for us does make for an interesting comparison, although at this stage I think Orton is better player. Lets just hope that we dont even need to win a week 17 game at New England to make it in to the playoffs. Lets hope we have a playoff berth wrapped up by then

So i decided to sign up for NFL Game Rewind. I was randomly watching a 2010 Bills vs Chiefs game and its almost embarrassing how little talent that 2010 team had. The defense was an absolute joke, especially the run D, and the linebackers and D-Line players were all below average at best. The offense was trotting out Ryan Fitzpatrick, Stevie Johnson, Lee Evans and Rocoe Parrish at wide recevier and the O-Line may be worse than what we have this season. Compared to what we have now talent wise, its a night and day difference. Just thought I would pass that along and I am glad that we actually have good players at a lot of positions.

Yea Branden Ayanbadejo was beyond awful. He kept contradicting himself in the same sentence and just had no idea what he was talking about. Really embarrassing for a pro sports telecast.
