  1. Marv Albert reached the peak of his announcing career during the early to mid 90s' when we was the voice of the NBA on NBC. He has been slipping ever so slowly in the announcing ranks since. One up and coming announcer that I do like is Spero Dedes, who has only been on CBS for a few years. He calls the game exactly as he sees it and speaks in a very clear tone. He also knows how to temper his enthusiasm for the right moment.
  2. Nice to have an aggressive head coach who will go for two points to tie up the game!!
  3. 21-20 Buffalo. We win it on a TD drive midway through 4th quarter and then D holds them on their last two drives
  4. Yea your right it is pretty crazy, maybe ill resort to something else more logical, like start cheering for a team that makes the playoffs once every 10 years
  5. Wake up early, go to church and pray and pray and pray and pray that the Bills somehow, some way get a win. It works roughly 40% of the time
  6. I'd say go with Easley. From what I have seen from him this preseason, he looks like he may end up being the second best wr on this team
  7. Maybe dareus just isnt that good. He played on a stacked Alabama team so maybe it made him look better than he really is.
  8. Leave it to the Bills to draft #3 overall in a top heavy year and still come away with the most disappointing player in that top group. Yea I know dareus had a tragic event in his life happen last year but still he has not looked like a dominating, pro bowl DT in any of his first two years. Missing on top 5 picks will keep setting you back for years...
  9. I know this is probably under another thread, but how bad of an injury is plantar faciitis and is it something that Byrd can play with all season and still perform at a high level?
  10. I liked his hands and ability to get open in the redzone. Ashame he blew out his knee last yr would of been nice to have him around....
  11. With our mess of a secondary and potentially an undrafted rookie qb starting, most experts and people in Vegas are expecting a very easy Pats win....
  12. Sounds like a great place then I live just north of the city, in westerville
  13. SI has us picked to finish second in the division and 8th overall in the AFC with a 7-9 record. I feel like that is a pretty fair assessment and with a bounce or two that goes our way, who knows maybe we could finish with a winning record.
  14. Sunday Ticket is not giving me any discounts this year and I have decided that I am just going to watch the games this year at a local Bills Backers bar. I heard of this place last year called Spoonz or something like that here in the Columbus area and was just wondering if anybody from the Columbus has been there and what the atmosphere is like
  15. Yea I forgot about him on FOX. He has that old school sound to his voice and knows when to raise his voice to match a big play
  16. Dick Enberg's "Oh My!" has to be my favorite sports announcer saying of all time.
  17. I know an 0-16 team didnt make the playoffs. The point I was trying to make was that preseason records dont really mean anything.
  18. werent the 0-16 Lions 4-0 during the preseason that year? Preseason records essentially mean nothing.
  19. I agree with all of your selections, especially putting Nantz in the worst category. His voice is too boring and he doesn show alot of emotion making big calls. He is perfectly suited for a slow game like golf, not pro football.
  20. With everybody down about the Bills debacle in DC, I thought I might try and at least post something that isnt negative or even about the Bills. With the regular season just two weeks away, who is everybody's favorite announcing team? I always liked Gus Johnson and his emphatic calls and his ability to make even the most boring game at least somewhat exciting. My current favorite duo is Kevin Harlan and Solomon Wilcots. Harlan has a a good, deep voice that follows the action well and he knows when to temper his excitement. Wilcots, while annoying at times with his pronunciation, does have a good mind for the game.
  21. With the talent that we do have at running back and considering all of the other worries that we have, running back is toward the bottom of my list. I do agree with you that our running game hasnt been dynamic so far.
  22. I mostly agree with this. I feel like we will have one of our typical 3-5 type of starts but finish out the year strong and end up around 8-8 with marked improvement from a lot of our younger players. I could see us hanging around the playoff discussion until late December. Just too many question marks at important positions for me to say we are a playoff team. The future finally looks bright though....
  23. Its the preseason, it looked like they were playing more a vanilla type defense. No point in showing everything
