INT #4. Fitting, somehow, for this season to end on a pick.
-
He's a 68% passer! He should start next year and be an all pro.
-
But we may win 6 games instead of 4!
-
The problem with this team is that we've been bad for so long now that mediocrity is confused with being good.
-
Make that INT #3.
-
I have to agree. I can excuse 2 yards on 3rd and 25, but the rest? No. It drives me crazy, too, and he's been doing this all season. It doesn't result in more points or wins, and its about as exciting as watching paint dry.
-
I agree completely. He just needs the opportunity to show what he can do and to this point, those opportunities have been few and far between. In the first four games of the year, JP couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Neither he or Moulds put up any numbers in that time. In the next four, Holcomb basically ignored him and threw every pass to Eric Moulds. Its only been in the last five games that Evans has really gotten a chance to produce and I think he has delivered: 21 catches 380 yards and 5 TDs.

With the #4 pick in the 2006 draft
Brandon replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll toss in another vote for Mario Williams. The only other player I would consider taking before Williams is Ferguson. I don't think this defense is ever going to play well against a top offense until the day that they can generate a pass rush from just the front four defensively. Not only can Williams rush the passer, but at 6'6 290lbs, he should be able to hold up against the run better than most DEs, too. Even with a top 5 contract, Williams will be a bargain if the contract of someone like Jevon Kearse is any indication. Considering that Denney is a FA and Kelsay is a FA after 2006, I think the decision to make this pick becomes quite easy. -
The next great back in the NFL
Brandon replied to thisiskeith12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd rather have another SEC RB: Darren McFadden of Arkansas. The Razorbacks were horrible as well, with no passing attack to speak of, yet for most of the year, McFadden was averaging almost NINE yards per carry. Two bad games late in the year managed to drag that down to 6.3. Still, 1113 yards and 11 TDs on 176 carries and earning a spot as an All SEC first team player isn't too bad for a true freshman. As long as he stays healthy, you'll be hearing a whole lot more about him in the coming years. -
If that's the case, they'll almost certainly use the franchise tag on him. Clements has not had his best year, but there's little reason to believe he won't bounce back. He's still young and has no injury history. In a weak year for CBs both in FA and the draft, I don't think it'll be a tough sell if the Bills try to trade him. He's still the best CB available this offseason.

I saw no drop off from Moulds to Aiken.
Brandon replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This was the most important game of Sam Aiken's career and he did nothing. Not good. Looks like the Bills will be using another day 1 pick on a WR in April. -
Neither one. They should pick Ferguson or Mario Williams and finally start addressing the weakness of both lines.
-
That's nice, but the problem with that is that I think Mularkey and Donahoe should be unemployed tomorrow morning.
-
Sickening, if they are 'Bills' fans. You don't cheer for a division opponent, especially on your home field.
-
Mularkey will be fired for this
Brandon replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The team is soon to be 4-9 and certainly appears to have finally rolled over and died on the head coach. I think its pretty much a certainty at this point that Donahoe, Mularkey, and much of the rest of the coaching staff are out the door. -
What do you expect when every play is a jailbreak?
-
No, its not worse. But the outcome is the same. TD Patriots. This defense is screwed whether they blitz or not, and it all falls back on a DL devoid of talent.
-
Yup, it would have been better to rush 4, so that Brady could sit back there for 30 seconds and eventually just decide to run it in himself again.
-
The Bills don't need to make that mistake again. Let Losman play through it. The last thing you want is for him to be looking over his shoulder every time he gets off to a slow start.
-
I think anything less than a report saying Moulds has a halo over his head and walks on water would be cause for many to disregard the report. On the other hand, those same posters are ready to string Mike Mularkey up on the slightest of evidence. The truth is that we don't know what happened. I tend to side with the Bills' position for the simple reason that it makes no logical sense for them to suspend Eric Moulds without some cause.
-
And just who committed those turnovers against Miami???
-
Everyone wanting Moulds out of Buffalo
Brandon replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lee Evans has more yardage and TDs this season than Moulds does as well. -
If you have to ask that question, yeah, you should.

Wed. Buff News - Allen Wilson Reports..
Brandon replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When was Eric Moulds named head coach of this team? I don't care whether Moulds likes the playcalling or not. Playcalling is not one of his responsibilities. -
The run D has not improved in recent weeks. The competition is the reason for the supposed improvement. The Dolphins were playing from behind and threw the ball 65 times Sunday, though Ronnie Brown still ran for 97 yards and averaged almost 6 per carry (edit: The box score I viewed is incorrect; Ronnie Brown had 6 carries for 20 yards, RW had 11 for 46). The Panthers are one of the worst rushing teams in the NFL, 26th in rushing yardage and average a hideous 2.99 yards per rush. The pass rush from the front four is all but non-existent, and its why Jerry Gray calls so many blitzes. He has to, and we got a good glimpse of why Sunday. In the 2nd half, when Gray backed off and rushed mainly his front four, Rosenfels had all day to throw and picked the Bills D apart. The pass protection and the run blocking both have been pretty poor all season, including in recent weeks. There have been stretches where one or the other have played reasonably well, as we saw in the first quarter Sunday, but the other team usually adjusts and figures out how to exploit them, again, as we saw in the rest of the game Sunday. Losman was running for his life for the final 40 minutes and the running game was non-existent. Both were the result of weak OL play. I do agree with you on the substitutions. I think the Bills overuse them.
