    First point is true- most people in the game might not even be in the league in one week, yet that somehow is a gauge on how he will perform in a regular season game. Second point is so wrong . It's not even remotely close to saying that.

    You realize Barkley is playing well in preseason against 2nd and 3rd stringers, right? Not regular season against starters with a game plan. He looks good, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

    Maybe because I'm older now, or have other priorities like my kids but I don't understand how people spend so much energy being so judgemental with athletes. Unless they turn out to be criminals, I couldn't care less what they say or do off the field. Even if they do good things, I just don't care.

    Patriots defense won them the Super Bowl last season. They shut down the Rams. They also added two high picks this past season to their defense. I know everyone is supposed to love everything about the Bills, but there are other teams out there.

    Sometimes enough is enough and there isn't as much planning involved as you think. It might just be , I've had it. Pissing blood, concussions, surgeries and now this and I'm only 29. I don't need this, no matter how good I am.

    If you go back an read my initial reply, I said that maybe he has improved. He's won 2 games as a starter in his career. The logic seems to be that any veteran, regardless of their actual performance on the field is assumed to be a mentor. I don't get it. I think people like saying the word 'mentor'.

    Yes, 1 start in his career went well, against a team that won 3 games? Not saying he hasn't improved, but to think Allen is on a short leash because of Barkley is a little absurd.

    A 7 year veteran plays well in preseason against players likely to be cut and not even in the league in a couple weeks and people think he can start.

    He's never played TE. Why would you 'waste' a PS spot. Dawson Knox has played TE, was drafted as aTE.
