  1. It’s where they rank the teams as of today (middle of the preseason). It is a check on how they are progressing. As an example, if a QB went down for the season that team would be expected to perform worse.
  2. 23rd feels fair, as does the explanation. The Bills can certainly rise from there but I have no issue with that as the starting point.
  3. I’ll be there I think. My sister lives in Cleveland. Just going to buy tickets on stub hub or something.
  4. I think that we are all in agreement: - The Bills tried hard to get AB. - For one reason or another it didn’t work out. - The Bills may end up feeling fortunate that it didn’t.
  5. Oh I know, I was just using your Beane quote.
  6. https://billswire.usatoday.com/2019/03/08/buffalo-bills-brandon-beane-antonio-brown-moved-on/ Not sure that this proves anything different than what I said? The Bills wanted AB. They tried to swing a deal and it didn’t work out. Brown isn’t in Oakland because the Bills didn’t want him. The Bills may be real lucky that a deal didn’t come to fruition but your original claim @ShadyBillsFan that the Bills had “zero contact to bring him to our beloved team” isn’t true.
  7. Nope, the Bills went hard after AB. They may be lucky that he’s not here but it isn’t because they didn’t want him.
  8. That’s where I’m at. I’m taking Beasley in an auction PPR league. I think, if healthy, he has 100 catches. He will be cheap. Josh as my backup QB and the Bills D if they are there. I try to not pick defense until the 2nd last round and kicker last round. I’m taking Christian Wade in the 1st too.
  9. I assumed a lot of the same. I figured that he was either always open and/or had elite hands. I’m not sure how he was so productive.
  10. Zay certainly isn’t a “top player.” He was horrendous as a rookie. He graded out as the lowest graded receiver in football. He bounced back last year and was okay. Was he effective last year because the other WRs were so bad or is he now a decent NFL receiver? He also doesn’t have any differentiating skills. He has terrible hands. Zay is no more than a decent route runner. He doesn’t have great short area quickness nor does he stretch the field. Zay is just okay or worse at every skill (besides levitation). If the Bills decide that they need a mix of skill sets he COULD (again not likely) be the odd man out. They could try to trade him for a later round pick (hi Giants) or cut him. Brown, Beasley and Roberts are locks. Foster and Zay are likely. McKenzie is getting close to likely. Ray-Ray, Duke, Phillips, and even Easley are trying to sneak up. It isn’t crazy to me to think that McKenzie passes Zay on the depth chart (if he hasn’t already). The Bills also may want the big body of Duke because they don’t have any size otherwise. They don’t have someone that can make that play he did yesterday. It’s not impossible to me to see the WR depth chart as Brown, Beasley, Foster, McKenzie, Roberts, and Duke.
  11. No chance Shaq is cut. He is more likely to sign an extension than he is to be cut. He played a nice game. He broke up that pass that he read perfectly and collapsed the pocket so that Harrison Phillips could clean up with that sack. I guess we watched different games. Zay is a guy that would be surprising (but possible). I think guys like Coleman & Munnerlyn are vets that are on the bubble. Daryl Johnson may bump someone else off the roster too.
  12. Don’t get carried away with preseason Kirby, don’t get carried away with preseason Kirby, don’t get carried away with preseason Kirby...
  13. @DCofNC roster depth
  14. I try. I was out for days before people started quoting me.
  15. I just gave you the reasoning that’s its BS!! Is he better than some guys that couldn’t get on the field, certainly. Is he worse than some guys that couldn’t get on the field, certainly. That’s specifically why I used Nick Mullins. As soon as he got an opportunity he was a functioning NFL QB. Lots and lots of guys like Nick Mullins never get that chance. We don’t know what would happen if they did!!! It doesn’t debunk anything. He’s a better QB than I am. I’m not QB. I guess that makes me worse than him? His sample size isn’t huge but there are 356 people, over the last 40 years that have at least as many attempts as him. He ranks 356th in multiple categories. The gap between him and 2nd worst is a chasm. It’s not like he’s in the mix with a bunch of guys. The gap is even wider when you factor in the guys playing in this passing era.
  16. My point, is, and has been, at this point it’s reasonable to consider him the worst that’s ever played. There are numbers that support that. Can this change? Of course it can!! If he gets out there and plays really well things can change. The last chapter isn’t written (although it may be soon). The “guys couldn’t get on the field” argument is BS. We can’t compare a resume to someone that never got the chance. 1 year ago today, even after the nightmare against the Chargers, you would have said, “he’s still better than Nick Mullins.” Now, that opinion isn’t a reasonable one. Now could Peterman play well and Mullins poorly and that switch? Sure, but we can only judge on what HAS happened not what we THINK MIGHT happen.
  17. They might be. I don’t want to overreact to preseason but they are getting dominated.
  18. Carr, then Glennon, they are moving the football. They are about to score again. They’ll have 24 points on the board in 18 minutes
  19. Nice drive from the Raiders
  20. It’s absolutely reasonable and there is evidence to support it. You can’t say a guy is worse that didn’t play because we don’t know!! You can only compare QBs to other QBs. We don’t know if Gibran Hamdan is a worse QB than Nate Peterman because he didn’t get a chance. Kurt Warner went from grocery bagger to HOFer. I guess he was worse because he wasn’t in the league? You can’t compare him to guys that didn’t play!! When you stack up NP against guys with similar experience, he ranks last in QB rating and last in INT %. He ranks 356 of 356 (ie worst). Keep in mind, he is doing this in an era where every single passing record is being SHATTERED. The rules favor the passing game more than any time in the game’s history. So while he has every possible advantage he has still performed worse than those that had more challenges.
  21. Not proving your point at all. Last year Ducasse and Bodine started. This year they are 3rd string or off the roster. Teller got bumped down a spot. Foster and Zay got bumped down the depth chart, etc... This isn’t that complicated AT ALL. The depth on the roster is really strong. The top of the depth chart is where they need to improve. And guess what? When that happens the depth improves even more!! Come on man, do better
