  1. You are such a drama queen... This would be hilarious if I didn't know you were serious. When did it go to 99%? I thought the non-paying, free-loaders were only 47%...somebody better tell the other 52%, they are going to be even more pissed...
  2. Maybe her brother is a !@#$ tard Tea Partier? You don't know, neither do I...I would think you would be proud of Madonna..nobody rides for free!
  3. Yeah...it isn't "Sopranos good", but it is pretty damn great show...it, "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad" are easily my favorite shows...great cast on "Boradwalk Empire"...it is a bit of a slow burner, but like the Sopranos, things that seem insignifcant at the time, become key later on.
  4. Gruden just re-upped with ESPN for five more years....I think he is staying in tv.
  5. Cowhers' situation is a little different. Don't forget, he is still relatively young, and, his wife died in that five year time period. If not for that, he likely would have come back sooner. On TV, he doesn't strike me like Gruden, or even Dungy, guys who enjoy hearing themselves talk. Cowher is a football coach, and will be again. I think Cowher will come back. I don't think it will be the Dolphins (flakey ownership), but I could picture him in Philly, Houston, Chicago or NY Giants. All have coaches who are always on thin ice.
  6. I don't have the Ticket, so, here in Austin, we have, possibly the worst games to choose from: 12pm- FOX- Seahawks @Browns (they always show Colt McCoy, given a chance: 6-3 with 10:06 left) CBS- Texans @Titans (Looked like it might be a good one, but Texans up 41-7 late 3pm- FOX- Rams @Cowboys (Cowboys..nuf said!) Then the night game lookes like a snoozer as well....Colts @Saints A lost football weekend for me...might actually watch more baseball than football this week...that never happens!
  7. "Signs point to yes"
  8. Starting to think that "Tea Party" is code for "petty little bitches"
  9. I know, right? Obama has single-handily created the concept of campaigning for a second term. I don't remember any president in my lifetime ever campaigning while in office. If you guys could hear yourselves sometimes... Hey /dev/null, you do realize, Obama didn't write this book, right? I mean you can write, so I assume you can read as well?
  10. From the sounds of it, the guy was devastated that he wasn't playing in Chicago any more. He was a Bear for 13 years, and never envisioned playing anywhere else. For some reason, I had this strange feeling (only a feeling, not based on anything I know) that Lee Evans is going through something similar. Regardless, if you don't want to play anymore, I would guess, you are hurting the team more than anything. Kreutz did say that he didn't want to "collect a paycheck if his heart wasn't anymore". The Saints are not obligated to pay him any guranteed money.
  11. Wow...that sucks for the Saints. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7131226/agent-center-olin-kreutz-walking-away-new-orleans-saints
  12. "South of the border....down Mexico way..." Uncle Junior was awesome...one of my all-time favorite lines, from Junior: "I got the Feds so far up my ass, I can taste the bryl-creem" Favorite Tony Soprano line, one I use often...talking to Dr Melfi after getting out of his coma: "I am trying to stop and smell the roses...they say every day is a gift, so why does it always have to be a !@#$ing tie?"
  13. I will sell mine for $38.99, free shipping! Honeslty, I have a hideous pair of Broncos zubas, from back in the day... somebody I worked with at an old job gave them to me for Christmas, becase they thought I was a Broncos fan, instead of a Bills fan...or they re-gifted! btw- saw somebody sporting Bills zubas at the Bills/Giants game this past weekend...bad memories.
  14. To me, when you are not sure, go with the most consistent guy...Hasselbeck.
  15. Yeah, I remember that...I had tickets for that game, but was sick as a dog...my roommate and his budddy went. I was watching on TV, and remember Dierdorf going on and on about how bad the scene was, in the stands. My roommate said it was pretty hideous as well.
  16. Honestly, I like Moulds, but I think he was more overrated than underrated. When he started to experience success, I always kind of thought he put as much effort into trying to convince refs that he was interfered with, rather than trying to catch the damn ball. I realize, this may have been later in his career, but I thing after the huge year he had in 2002 with Bledsoe, his effort slipped a bit. Used to really frustrate me, watching him belly-ache to the refs, after every play that went in his direction. Great player, IMO, but could have been even better.
  17. HBO doesn't fire people for saying controversial things, it encourages it. I really like Gumbles' show on HBO, but he is an idiot. Of all the people to attack, on this issue, David Stern? Really? What a jack-ass. There may be nobody in modern sports who has done more to break down racial barriers than Stern. I have problems with Stern at times, but being a racist isn't one of them.
  18. Dolphins fans have come up with the cute phrase "Dolphins Suck for Luck"! Some playere are not happy about it!
  19. This could be really good. Certainly a great creative team... http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/mick-jagger-martin-scorsese-terence-winter-hbo-249892

  21. Agreed. When the Bills "got good" from 1988-1990, I would hazard a guess that Norwoods' leg won the Bills a good 8 or 9 games. That kick in Super Bowl 25 was not a chip shot, like some presume. He wasn't never known for having an extra strong leg, but a very accurate one. Anything outside of 45 yards was outside his "automatic" zone.
  22. Actually, I think what you are all mis-remembering, the Bills had a deal to trade Mike Williams (OL-bust from Texas) to the Lions. Somehow, the paperwork didn't get submitted on time...the trade was voided. The Bills ended up cutting Williams, who then tried to negotiate his own deal with the Lions, and it fell through. He ended up spending a season with the Jags (2006 or 2007...memory is hazy) before being out of the game for a few years, and landing with the Redskins. As for the Ronnnie Brown deal, sucks for me. I thought I was being shrewd, and picked up Brown for my fantasy football team, early this morning...I need a running back, bad!
  23. I have been seeing the large Fatheads on EBAY for as low as $20...they used to be $100. I think the bottom has fallen out of the Fathead market....
