  1. Yeah, but they intended for him to be the backup. People are clamoring for some loose Qb, like they want to "save the season", but it's all about whatever rookie they bring in. I couldn't care less who the back up is, Tarvaris is fine.
  2. I think there is no point bringing in a guy like Kolb. They got rid of Fitz, because they want to develop a rookie. They have Tarvaris Jackson if the rook isn't ready for opening day. People trying to salvage this season by bringing in a guy that is just gonna do what Fitz did are missing the whole reason why they let Fitz go. It's going to be a rookie that starts. They will probably suck this year, but it's time to search for the "quarterback of the future". Just accept it.
  3. I think Graham will improve this season. Give the guy a chance, he was a rookie that was playing with a QB that couldn't play to his strengths. I think he will be at least as effective as DHB has been. I'm not saying he will develop into a great receiver, just that if they are going to bring in a deep threat, it should be someone significantly better. If it's just to have a guy running deep routes, Graham will suffice.
  4. If guards are so important, how do you rank the positions in the NFL, top to bottom? I have seen articles like this about EVERY position in football. I'm not disputing that they CAN be a huge asset, but really a great player at any position can be a huge asset. It's all about how the team is put together, and how the players are utilized.
  5. Telling you, he will go to one of the teams that select ahead of the Bills, they won't pick a QB, and the Bills get to select a real QB!
  6. Don't worry, by the time the Bills are ready to compete for the playoffs, he (and Manning) will probably be gone (or too old).
  7. Just draft 2 guys, and feed'em to the fire. Let the search begin, and just keep bringing in guys. It might take YEARS, but Fitz wasn't the guy, and the more guys they can bring in, the better chance they have to find "Mr. Right". It's a new age of dating, you gotta play the field, and put out on the first date.
  8. Is Mario Williams somehow off the hook? Not with me....
  9. Nope, no one believed it was all Fitz.! But on the offensive side of the ball, it was HIM. One guy, killing the offense. The defense has a bunch of holes. Get to work replacing THE ONE GUY, and then deal with the other side of the ball (it can be done at the same time too, ya know).
  10. Waaah, waaaaaah, waaaah. It's over my friend. He was a big part of the problem, and it was time to move on. Just go back and delete your Fitz-lovin posts!
  11. It's like overhearing your parents talking about your wife and the delivery man.
  12. Looks good, and one thing I noticed was how many great catches his receivers were making! All these other Qb seemed to play with guys that had hands of stone (I'm sure Tuel had some dropped too). Maybe his placement is really good, and it allows them to make the catch? Oh, and his center keeps giving him bad snaps. Worth a look for sure.
  13. Fitz was way better. That's how bad they have all been...
  14. You have convinced me that they should draft TWO quarterbacks, using their 1st and 2nd picks!
  15. Why do I get the feeling the purpose behind this thread was to eventually get to "if he hadn't been injured, Trent would have been a good QB"? Reliving the terrible play of these guys, is like repeatedly watching the porn tapes you found of your ex-wife with various deliverymen. Let's move on...
  16. Yeah, I don't even know how good of an evaluation one can make of the receivers the Bills have had. How much of a boost would team morale, and work ethic receive if the team had a QB they really believed in? Currently, the team is just a bunch of guys showing up for work, hoping they can build up some nice individual stats, to turn into a nice pay day.
  17. Yes! This is the dream scenario. Fitz gets cut, and one of the teams that select before the Bills pick him up and tell their fans that he is their new starter.Seriously, cutting Fitz might help them secure a Qb they like, because he can take a spot on another team. Cut him!
  18. So special that a team that hasn't had a good QB for 20 years, should let the rest of the league have 39 chances to select him, before allowing him to come to Buffalo and be special. Makes sense.
  19. This reasoning I don't understand. If you think he has a good chance to be the kind of Qb that the Bills can build around, why would you want to wait around until the 41st pick to take him? What are they gonna do with the guy they select instead at 8? If they don't have a QB, ain't nothing happening anyway. Complete careers (let alone draft picks) have gone to waste here in Buffalo, mostly because they haven't found a QB, and here you are saying "I like this guy, but let's wait around before we select him". I don't get that....
  20. He does seem to have incredible instincts, and "eyes in the back of his head (helmet?)", and he is a pleasure to watch. I have watched a bunch of YouTube footage, and his highlight reel (I have also watched the full game play by play footage) is almost all runs. It's hard to find any plays where he just drops back and throws.
