  1. So you get all uptight about him using a generic descriptive term (let's get all uptight about the word "hatred"), and then turn it around, and act like he is nitpicking about you using the term "surfer"? In this case, what you said was actually more disparaging, because you are spreading a falsehood about a player. Look in the mirror, man.
  2. It's KC. The rumors are too strong, it's gotta be them.
  3. He'll be better than Fitz after a training camp and a few starts.
  4. Yeah, I know. Thanks. The real point is that even with all the criticisms of this crop of Qb's, these guys apparently are much better propects than Fitz was, and project to be better pros. "Better than Fitz" is what we are looking for (at the very least), so that's a good place to start.
  5. Then why was Fitz ranked a 6/7th round pick? There are Qb's in this draft that will be better than Fitz., and the Bills have to find one of them....
  6. Where would Fitz have ranked coming out in this draft?
  7. They can't wheel out Fitz again. It would kill the morale of the team. They all know he sucks. There is nothing to lose, I say it over and over, complete drafts have been wasted, guys whole careers go by and the team treads water without a QB. Tkae the best they can get every year until they find one good enough to develop. They can pass on the next Torrell Troup or Aaron Williams for now.
  8. I thought I explained my reasoning. I just want them to TRY and find someone better than Fitz. Fitz was a 7th round talent. I don't expect a "franchise quarterback", just an improvement. And there is NO GREATER NEED for this franchise than a COMPETENT quarterback.
  9. So they all suck. That may be true, but I'm willing to use a 2nd round pick on some of these guys, because some of them will be better than Fitz. The Bills need a Qb NOW, even if it's just until next draft. I don't think they will miss not having another Aaron Williams, or Torrell Troup. As I have noted, guys whole careers have gone to waste with the quarterbacking the Bills have endured.
  10. I expect Smith to go first , followed by Barkley (hopefully the Bills), followed by Glennon. Nice work, but if it was all in the numbers, it wouldn't be so hit and miss to find a good QB.
  11. He has some impressive throws in here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7U1dIfiKrQk While I kind of agree, those Bills teams got beat by many bad quarterbacks. Pretty much every team has kicked the Bills around, so I don't judge any Qb by their games against the Bills.
  12. See, I don't get that "not at #8" stuff. If he turns out to be good, it's a huge step for this team.Even a very good player at any other position, wouldn't have the impact on this team that a competent QB would have.
  13. I won't be happy, but I won't be calling for Fitz! I refuse to watch any more Fitz. I didn't watch ANY games after that Tennesee debacle. 30 years as fan, never missed a game I could watch. As I said somewhere else, they can lose with anyone. Plus, if it's a 7th round rookie that blows, I know they won't hesitate to replace him!! (or give him a giant contract)
  14. I just went and watched some footage. He looks so polished! He has 4 years of starting under his belt, and you can tell he knows what to do with the ball, no panic. He is better than Hasselback, though that is a fair comparison. He is a better passer, and more polished than Leinhart and Sanchez, and more mature. His work ethic is unquestioned.
  15. He seems the surest bet. All the "defense wins championships" guys should love him. He is the kind of guy that should at least be good enough to get the job done with a good defense.
  16. I am inclined to agree with these statements. Baarkley is polished, and mature. I will wait to see how he does on his pro day, but I think he will do well, and I hope the Bills get him.
  17. I feel confident that he would at least be an upgrade over Fitz. Maybe not a star, but competent, at least.
  18. After the combine/workouts, the dust will settle, and a few guys will stand out above the others. No need to get worked up just yet.
  19. Why? This board is filled with people that think they know what the Bills should do (I know that I do). Just because he is there, it doesn't mean he is making personnel decisions. What else should he be doing anyway?
  20. I don't care if they keep him, cut him, trade him, or shave him, just don't put him on the field as a starting quarterback, and I'm fine.
  21. All these years have been a waste of time, waste of careers, waste of money. Get a QB.
  22. Ugh. As someone mentioned earlier, you can draft a QB and still work on the defense, no? And you are nowhere if the defense doesn't believe in the QB. It's much easier to find decent linebackers, than a QB that can lead his team to the playoffs. There are good free agent defenders available, but no good FA QB's. What else do you need to know? Do you need to be told that QB is the most important position on the team?
