  1. We already know about EJ. I hate to say it...but you guys have watched everything that I have. Put EJ on the practice squad. Dig him up in a few years. He's currently not an NFL caliber QB. Orton gives us a shot at a wildcard this year. EJ....even if he stays healthy is too easy for DC's to defend. He's no good. Yet.
  2. I'm uncertain the coaching staff will put Orton in soon enough. If they do, I would totally agree with your assessment. We could easily win 9 games with Orton. With EJ...maybe in a few years but he's just too raw still. Otherwise our roster is strong enough to git r done. BUT....the OBD staff has to come to grips and realize they whiffed on their QB.....for the time being anyway.
  3. The run to 16-0 starts now. Buffalo, 34-3 and the 3 was because they felt sorry for the Chicago fans. We are a compassionate football team.
  4. I think Tuel was cut. At least thats what I read on BB.com.
  5. Absolutely. Put EJ on the 3rd string or practice squad. He will develop eventually but its going to take time. We dont need a backup, we need a starter. If we get one....fasten your seat belts.
  6. He'll land on his feet as an OL coach in about a year or so though. He is clearly in over his head as a HC and I think the timing of a new regime taking ownership is pretty good. We'll only lose another season or two this way instead of 3 or 4.
  7. I really wish I could help but I got nuthin.
  8. Whoever is punting will get one helluva aerobic work-out for this team. Busiest roster spot for quite a while on this franchise. Punting aint for sissies with an offense like ours.
  9. True. We do. But...all NFL teams dont show their game plan in pre-season and many of them still execute, albeit with a vanilla playbook. Solid execution. We need it. Maybe they will surprise us all week 1 in Chicago. Not making that bet but it'd sure be nice !
  10. Well, I hope you are right. All eyes on week one now. I could go for a nice Kings ration of Crow right about now !! If he lights it up, I'll be admitting my mistake loud and clear on this kid. Right here in these forums. I'm just not seeing what you are seeing and by Golly I want to be VERY wrong here.
  11. Interesting point and I agree. I cant help but to wonder if it is our coaching staff that is ruining all of these QB's. They all seem to have regressed. Maybe the players are fine, but they are being ruined by bad coaching ?
  12. I disagree. Wins do count in the regular season.
  13. No idea what his stats are, or who is to blame for EJ's sub-par career to date. What bothers me is watching him. He just doesn't seem to have the CPU speed necessary for reacting to what an opposing D has to throw at him. Forget about the wounded ducks he throws, he is not reading fast enough. Not even close. He looks like a project QB that would be well served with a few years on a practice squad. Eventually the game will slow down and he'll be fine but right now he is a detriment to the team hands down.
  14. Oh man! Every once in a while I spit coffee on the keyboard. By golly that right there was funny ! Thanks.
  15. I'm glad someone else said it first. Its painful to watch. Must have been a long afternoon for you fans at the game ey?
  16. True. What really bothers me about EJ though are a couple of things. He has that deer in the headlights look, as though he is confused about what the opposing defense is throwing at him. And...much to my surprise several of the passes I've seen him throw just dont have a lot of zip on them. Yea, he's new, I get that. He may end up being a great QB someday and I hope he does. Right now though, I look at Gino, Nassib and Simms and frankly to me they look to have much more control running an O than does EJ. I'm very concerned about our QB situation overall.
  17. Yes. They should do this if possible, and if a good fit is available. We may have the worse QB situation in the league as it stands now.
  18. The poor kid looks totally lost on the field. I thought it was the OC. He has a QB coach now. He looks lost still. Marrone goofed on this move. He needs to fix it. He is gone. Whiffing on Manuel is the reason. Root. Route. Whatever. I said it way back when...Take JOHNNY FOOTBALL. Didnt happen. Wont happen. JF will be a successful QB, EJ will not. He'll be a good back up...as long as the starter stays healthy.
  19. EJ will be the demise of coach Marrone's career. EJ was his first major decision. The one that will get him fired. EJ Manuel has no business in the NFL. I love the kid, frankly. I route, and will continue to route for him. The poor kid looks lost out there. I'm depressed.
  20. Super. Thanks fellas.
  21. Anybody know if this game will be televised in the black-out zone? I'm assuming it wont be on....but I hope it is. Thanks.
  22. If healthy I think thats reasonable. If he does this well or better I'd say maybe a .500 season, or maybe even a game above that. Hope I'm wrong........and they go undefeated !!
  23. Thats all I'm saying...or trying to say. I'm guessing (as said earlier) that Hoyers development in the new system is stunted by sharing reps with Manziel. In both practice and pre-season games. And...having a suspended player (Josh Gordon) in the receiver mix just doesn't make sense to me when you are trying to establish chemistry in a new system. We'll see how it goes. Cleve does look to have a defense that could make some noise this year as well. I like this team. Buffalo Bills West. Please dont kill me I'm too tired. Just sharing my thoughts, thats all. LOL !
  24. I would add to this that Hoyer is in tune with the full playbook, where Johnny is still learning. This gives the offense more versatility to throw at an opposing defense. If Cleveland has a QB problem, to be honest it is a problem I'd like to have here in Bills country !
