  1. We could not disagree more. I rank the housekeepers, maintenance men and receptionists at the staion ahead of these two wannabe comedians. If you are so funny, get out there and make a living at it. If not, learn how to be better radio show producers/call screeners/whatever you do and stop using air time you don't even deserve, trying to show how funny you are. Here is a novel idea...book some interesting guests on say a DAILY basis.
  2. The Bulldog while not being polished as a broadcaster, was never terrible in his days at WBEN. He is being dragged down by Schoop who just hates his job, hates the callers, and hates most sports outside of baseball and tennis. The afternoon show is made worst by Greg Bauch who instead of being show producer, is constantly trying to be funny with trying being the key word. If I was the programming director at WGR, I would do the following... 1 - Replace White with Joe B on the morning show. 2 - Replace Schoop with Sal on the afternoon show. 3 - Insist the hosts do more interviews, which would then result in less calls(this would be a good thing). 4 - Tell the show producers to produce and not to be part of the on-air talk(at least not as much as they do currently) 5 - Less of Sullivan and Hamilton. I really don't need to hear from them 100 times a week. 6 - Kevin Sylvester hockey talk from 10-12 is fine...DURING HOCKEY SEASON, and only if there is not a lockout going on. 7 - Get rid of Jim Rome. There has to be some reasonable options for syndicated national sports talk other than him. Problem solved.
  3. Thanks. I always thought it was further east. It would have been right on top of Lancaster HS. I assume there would have been a new exit off the 90 constructed to handle all the traffic. If not, it would have been a nightmare getting in and out of there.
  4. Anyone know exactly where in Lancaster the stadium was to be built?
  5. One of my fellow "old timers" may be able to help me out.... Was it Jeff Kaye who was part of the Bills broadcast team for a year or two along with Van Miller and Stan Barron when they went by the title of "Van, Stan, and the Fan"?
  6. A voice of reason.
  7. When did Sully become a beat reporter? Honestly, the anger towards Sullivan is laughable. If you really want to get that upset over something related to your favorite sports team, channel that anger towards the man in charge of this joke of a franchise.
  8. I'm voting out all the incumbents... Wilson Littman Overdorf Brandon Nix Gailey All Asst. Coaches
  9. What was I supposed to feel?
  10. All fantastic choices. Some of the greatest threads in TBD history would not have happened without them.
  11. I work in the area, and once or twice a year I have some vendor who insists on going there. The food sucks, is overpriced, and the service is usually bad. It hasn't changed in 15 years. This is coming from a guy who doesn't exactly have high standards when it comes to restaurants.
  12. I'll go one step further...It's not just the wings, the ENTIRE restaurant sucks. It can go toe to toe with the best tourist traps across the USA.
  13. Dareus was far from being a "monster" in 2011 unless you are comparing it to his crapola play in 2012. He had a decent year in 2011, but I expected more from the #3 overall pick. Unless there is a commitment to getting in shape, I have a feeling he is heading down the road of mediocrity.
  14. I'd gladly take either just ONCE in my lifetime. The clock is ticking...
  15. Not sure I follow you. What does a 19,000 seat "arena" in Omaha, have to do with a proposal for a 70,000 seat domed "stadium". We already have a 19,000 seat arena in downtown, which could host all the sporting events you listed, outside of the swimming, and even for that, there is a modern swimming facility in downtown Buffalo.
  16. Indianapolis is an established midwest convention city with the hotel base to support large conventions. Most of the things you listed would not justify use of a 70,000 seat stadium here in Buffalo, but believe what you will.
  17. There is nice weather all summer in OP, and yet RWS stadium sits empty every summer. What events do you think will come to fruition if an indoor stadium is built?

  19. IF the problem with Mario all revolves around effort, benching him will not do any good. He has his "payday", and if because of that money, he has put it in cruise control, there is nothing the Bills can do except wait for a point in the contract where it becomes cost effective, and cut him. It is mind boggling that Bills fans went from the highest of highs when Mario was signed, to today.
  20. A performing arts center when the FNC is empty for probably 250 days a year? Once again...not needed.
  21. Didn't mama ever tell you not to believe everything you hear and read. It is not like they are running some 11 DB defensive scheme that no one has ever heard of. A 4-3 base defense is something most of these players have seen throughout their football playing days. It's not that complicated.
