  1. I meant the Bills but yes a very rough day on D all around (minus the two INTs)
  2. I didn’t see a brace on the knee today? Maybe it was precautionary, helping the hammy heal?
  3. I mean there are a lot of surface level reasons to not feel great after that game but when you dig deeper, it’s really quite amazing they were able to pull that off: The 3rd down crazy conversion rate The cook fumbles Ty Slipping the injuries the 4th down conversions by Allen They just overcame so much.
  4. I am just so amped up. What a football game that was. An amazing watch. Just the perfect mix of weather, adversity, excellence, big plays, and the BIG DUBBBBB. Go Josh. He is the Bills. Just an alien!
  5. Here we are again, waiting for the injury riddled defense who decided to show up at halftime to bail us out, and for the undermanned offense to stop pooping themselves while Allen saves the day.
  6. Man this did not turn out how I was expecting
  7. Thank you. It drives me nuts when they cut to some animated filler piece driven by statistics over the last few weeks, trends or whatever else they waste time on, instead of actually showing what happened on a play. It’s the Bills defense riding barrels over Niagara Falls with points per game stats rolling down the Niagara river instead of replays. Even the color guys now, they rarely ever offer anything of substance in regards to the actual play at hand, but instead just restate what happened: Joe Buck: “1st & 10 here, Allen takes the snap, surveys, and dumps it off to Johnson and he’s wrapped up for a 2 yard gain” Troy Aikman: “You see here he just quickly delivers it to the running back and Cincinnati get a good open field tackle to keep it a minimal gain” Oh. thanks for the insight.
  8. This would mirror what they did with Groot, in terms of timeline.
  9. I think it’s important to keep in mind that 8.7 million would be in two years. With the increasing cap number projected to be $311 million in 2027, it would come in at roughly 2.8% of the cap for Kincaid that year. In today’s terms, that’s like someone making 7.8 million (2.8% of current cap) this year. This is less than Beane paid buffalo bills legend Curtis Samuel and Josh Palmer.
  10. The 2023 first rounder class will have the team option 5th year decisions made this spring. Based on his performance and playing time, Kincaid’s 2027 season is projected to cost Buffalo 8.7 million if they choose to exercise it. I believe the Bills will pick this up, locking him in for the next two seasons (26’-27’). But SHOULD they continue down this path? Or would you prefer they let him play out is last year of the deal and see where it takes them, sign him to a multi-year cheaper deal, or just cut him loose? Personally, I believe they should exercise the 5th year option and that’s it. The injuries are too concerning for me to want to hitch my wagon to him, even at a discounted rate extending him early. I think the 8.7 is well worth another year, and if things trend upwards after next season, you could always extending him post-2026 with him under contract still in 2027 and plenty of time to work things out. https://overthecap.com/fifth-year-option-projections
  11. I hope you get what you came for. Last years “snow globe game” vs San Francisco was the coolest game I’ve ever been to. Just the perfect mesh of winter wonderland and bills football, enjoy!
  12. I heard what you were saying until you starting comparing him to fruit
  13. What kind of weird foot ailment pops up randomly off the field that requires you to be out of practice and then full to the next day? Did this guy have a hang nail surgery or something?
  14. I think people are just piling on Beane for this. I like that he went and tried to improve an area of the roster that in previous years had failed us in the playoffs. You don’t like the result and therefore dump it all on Beane. If it came January and we get torched because a guy like Benford went down, you know people wold have been clamoring for “how did we not sign slay - look at how amazing Howie Roseman is” He swung and missed, attempting to improve, which resulting in losing an end of roster depth player. There are plenty of reasons to question and rag on Beane, but this is just low handing fruit IMO.
  15. Not going to line, after the Bosa and Epinessa news today, I read this as Landon Jackson.
  16. Yes sometimes it plays out this way. Wait until they draft a LB or DE at 32 overall next season.
  17. I think Shaq is definitely reading schemes and being more decisive than Bernard. That sad, Bernard has caught a lot of sheet from fans for poor play when in reality there has been a revolving door of defensive lineman in front of him. The biggest issue I see when looking it the bills run defense is how teams effect our alignment and numbers presnap with motions and shifts, which often leads to bad fits or players coming from places that make it very difficult to play gap sound. This could be something Shaq is good at (handling these shifts) or just coaching. Bernard is very vocal too. His visible frustrations referenced in the video are usually on pass plays, not necessarily on run downs. Another factor here is that the recent Shaq play is likely coming under a closer watch from McDermott on D - whereas the beginning of the year was being constructed from Babich and often felt messy. I’d like to see Shaq stay at MLB and try Bernard at the Will. I think this would be a good game to try it, as I don’t think they’ll be using a bunch of 4-3 front against the Bengals (if he’s healthy). I think he fits better in regards to playing the weak side of the run game: he’s definitely a better clean up player than disruptor. Whether this week or next, I think it could be a good litmus test to see if a permanent move could be beneficial. That said, Bernard got paid and will be here. I hope they find a way to maximize his skill set. He is no bum and can be very effective. He does it a bit differently than Shaq (speed vs power), and I get that people want to be better on the run but a LOT of our issues with the ground game are because of the revolving door at DT and the poor tackling from the secondary. This clip encapsulates Bernard in his strengths and weaknesses. He’s decisive, downhill with appropriate leverage, gets across the face of the pulling center and is first in on the tackle for a minimal gain. Would you like to see him be more stout and not displaced? Of course. Does Shaq have the speed to beat the OL to edge? Idk. At the end of the day it isn’t pretty, job well done. Bernard will likely be back in the lineup at MLB sooner than later, because it gives them the ability to have Shaq at the Sam in 4-3 and McDermott and company loves Bernard’s pass coverage.
  18. We’ve already recouped Jordan Hancock in this grade, and still have a 7th next year.
  19. You’re missing the point. It isn’t about who he drafted but the position. There is nothing wrong with Kincaid’s potential or ability, despite injuries. However, having already allocated so many future cap dollars to the TE position, taking another TE there was always going to be the wrong call…especially since it’s a position that regularly splits snaps. If you really want a name (which is obviously ridiculous), using unfair hindsight, he should have invested in the WR position before the run happened. This would have meant moving from 27 to 19 overall to beat the run, and take JSN. This would have likely cost a 3rd and a 5th (Dorian Williams and Justin Shorter, respectively). Again, to me it is less about picking the wrong player and more about choosing to invest irrationally in a position.
  20. And immediately before our pick 4 WRs came off the board (JSN, Johnston, Flowers, Addison). Beane panic picked Kincaid and tried to sell him like a WR with this whole 11.5 personnel immediately after extending Knox to a big contract. One of these moves would have been fine. Both of them was a mistake. And since Knox had already been extended, it seems like a fair assessment to say the investment in RD1 was always going to be a poor allocation.
