  1. Is anyone really surprised? Their offensive scheme was almost identical to that vs the Jets minus the success in the run game.
  2. TT is widely recognized as having a good deep ball. Yet we don't see it this year. Is that by choice or scheme. From my interpretation, it was dink and dunk, move the chains and play it safe. It's totally possible there were open receivers deep, yet the commentators never acknowledged it, not did I recognize any. As far as throwing it up to J Matt and Zay and hoping for the best, is this really a discussion? How could you "trust" as you've mentioned these receivers to make plays. Between a new acquisition and a rookie, we really are stretching as far as stating it's on TT because he doesn't give these B squad guys a chance.
  3. Excellent response. Thanks for generalizing my comments to make your point. Did you see this game live? I can't see how this interpretation works. I will gladly eat crow it wrong but his break toward the sideline was intentional. What was your supposed quick read on 4th and long? You're stretching. It was a clear corner route and it didn't connect. IMO because of the execution of the route. But you won't acknowledge that comment. So please explain, what was the intended connection?
  4. #7 on steroids. It is what it is. Thank you
  5. Stretch zone vs man concept? Let's give some credit to Carolina here too
  6. Or... Jones snapped the route out too flat. At first glance it seemed to be a variation of a smash concept with Jones on the corner. In my opinion, that route should be more vertical, towards the front pylon. The throw was there. The receiver should break vertically and bend into the throw of the QB towards the sideline, instead the opposite happened. I cannot say for sure because I am not Rico, but after playing four years of college ball, it jumped out to me that it was the wrong wrote. Could it have been a better ball? Sure. But we are missing this point. This is not on TT nor Jones. They were not put in a position to mke plays today. 10 yard outs and stretch zone will only get you so far
  7. Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods still catch a 10 yard out and run out of bounds...
  8. THANK YOUUUU people are so insecure with our QB play that a loss immediately results in a tyranny. Watch the film. Please. You get it. We aren't running wide open down the seams and TT is missing it. He does what he is asked to do.
  9. Please clarify. Is this comment pro: Whaley sucks TT must go or Trade for Luck
  10. Jumping in late here... but I'm assuming this thread is entirely about how terribly annoying it is that McD claps after each play, encouraging the players, regardless of the outcome of said play.
  11. Yep 100% accurate And idt TT, Darnold. Rosen. Allen, etc matter right now. Scheme today was, and will be, the ceiling and floor of this offense.
  12. Again, I disagree. With all do respect, which throws did not allow our guys to make plays? The 10 yard outs we repeatedly ran? Again, if we see the film and he missed his downfield targets and reads, I will gladly say he played poorly. I am not by any means a TT fan, but I am tired of him being the scape goat. He missed some throws, the 2nd and long deep bomb down the right sideline when he should have blown a TO was awful. That being said, this offense has bigger problems than Tyrod Taylor IMO
  13. We could just move the college FB thread to the main board...
  14. This is great in theory If there is a guy you think is your QB, you go and get him. You don't settle for the most important position in the sport
  15. Yes I do recall. And like a player, a coordinator has different ranges of success in different situations. Do you realize that Dennison is in a position he has never has complete control over? What makes you so confident in his abilities? The success on the ground during the preseason or the win vs the Jets? You have to take into account the situation that players are put into
  16. You are in one of the few posters with a voice of reason, a sense on X's and O's. Can't wait to check the Lawson thread...
  17. I think you mean with Dennison?
  18. And McCoy's stats were SO inspiring. Is it his fault too? The FB IQ on this board has taken a nose dive harder than a junkie with a line on a hookers breasts
  19. The best part about TBD is I'll never run out of ppl I want to kick in the balls
  20. Who would he be throwing to? Jordan Matthews? I respectfully disagree and will await the all 22 to see what options he had down field. If he missed the deep routes, I will gladly eat crow. But it appeared to me he was in run the ball/manager mode.
  21. No, basically I'm saying that he did exactly what he was expected to do. He got zero help. Although the modern NFL offense is all about the QB, no great QB is successful without competent help. I.e. Andy Luck. But ignore the obvious. Ignore that we had zero run game. Ignore the fact that we didn't throw the ball past 15 yards down field. Pin point your criticism and see what you want. Base your opinion on who is blame to the loss on one play, in which the receiver ran a poor route. Yep, everything has to work.
  22. I can't wait for the all 22. If this loss is on TT, I will gladly eat crow
  23. Jumping in late, but idt creativity is the problem. I think it's lack of understanding of what a successful offense in the NFL is. I'm tired of being the number one rushing team. How about being feared through the air?
  24. Show me the proof this one is on TT. And please don't point to one throw. How about the putrid offensive scheme or the numerous breakdowns in protection. Or the fact that we didn't move the ball on the ground for ****. Even Shady, in all his glory, was not a factor. But this one is on TT. Some fans have chosen a scape goat. And that's okay, I get it, I'm mad too. But don't put the game on TT. He did exactly what he was asked to do.
