  1. I'm still pissed about that call. How many times does a receiver have to bounce off the ground with possession of the ball for it to count? And the closest ref called it a catch and the head ref 30 yards away over ruled it thus shifting the burden of proof on the challenge. ^%%$#&*&(*() !!!! Marrone made a great challenge. Anyone not thinking we have a winner there is delusional.
  2. Thanks for playing. Sorry you didn't win. But you get a 6 month supply of Turtle wax!
  3. BS. the back-up, a veteran went out for the season right before pre-season. They brought in Leinert, traded for Thad Smith. Then EJ went down. Then Smith. They brought in Flynn. If the injuries didn't go down like this then we were looking at Kolb/EJ/Tuel or EJ/Kolb/Tuel. Veteran, 1st round picj=k and developmental guy. Just how exactly can anyone prepare for the rash of injuries???? And what awesome solutions were there piut there???? And don't say Tavares Jackson. He's a backup and was released before any of this happened.
  4. I agree with everything except your take on coaching. IF anything Marrone, Hackett and Pettine deserve medals for what they've been able to accomplish with the circumstances given. We outplayed an undefeated team with our 4th string QB and should have won. I have n problem with the play call. In fact, if there was a 3rd straight run that failed half this board would be bithching abouty that. Tuel made a bad decision and worse throw. and trying to get points before half ESPECIALLY given how our D played today I have ZERO issue with. Again, play it safe and half or more of this board is bitching about it. Frankly I like playing to win rather thanto "not lose". I see nothing but progress. I feel we win the AFCE next year.....and will be in the mox every year going forward
  5. 1) It was a 7 point game and we were tied with less than 10 minutes left. So you were actually right and are wrong saying you were wrong. 2) He may or may not have, but Rex Ryan blowing the 2 challenges and not being able to challenge is why the "got away with it"....but yea, our coaches suck and everyone else's are Vince Lombardi clones 3) No they shouldn't have and they didn't ---Our ROOKIE QB struggled against a great D....learning experience. 75% of our starting secondary is in street clothes. One of our 2 RB's got injured as did our starting LG and 2 DT's. Everyone needs to relax and understand there are going to be some growing pains this year. Past teams would have folded but we were in it until the end. The future looks bright, ESPECIALLY when we get some of our best guys back.
  6. Flutie, thanks for the feedback. How long of a cab ride is it from the MGM? Also, my wife is a Titan's fan. (mixed marriage) ...do they show other games as well? If not I may just send her to the sports book. I am in the Nashville backers club and just need to be with our fans for game 1!
  7. I watched there last time in Vegas. The problem is you aren't guaranteed to get sound for your game. With the first game in the new era I was hoping to find a local Backers club. BUT, if this is my last option it could be much worse! Thanks for the input!....I have run up spme good bar tabs in that place!
  8. Will be there game 1. I know I can do a sportsbook or hotel bar but I am looking to hook up with other fans and preferably have a dedicated TV WITH sound...first game of the new era! Any help is appreciated!
  9. Yes I do give him credit. The NFL has a huge list of guys that took that route. TT had a major injury, tried to comeback last year and was not physically ready to do so despite doing everything possible to be able too. The Bills obviously agree which is why is still here. Not playing because a legitimate injury makes it impossible is not a character flaw.
  10. The guy played with a broken back. Your tone suggests he is along the McCargo route. Totally different thing. By all accounts TT has been on a mission to get healthy. He flashed some talent as a rookie and couple that his determination we could have something here. He made some decent $ the past few years, more than most of us have a chance to make and could easily have walked away but didn't. I am pulling for him and like someone else said, we are basically playing with house money here.
  11. Love what Polian did here. That being said, we are moving forward and not looking to the past. Anyone that says that nothing has changed (same ole Bills) is blind to fact. Everything has changed and for the better. It all began the day Mr. Wilson (God bless him by the way) gave up control.
  12. Stevie has had 3 consecutive 1,000 yard seasons and lets face it, it wasn't exactly Jim Kelly throwing him the ball. 1,2, 3 or 10...who cares. Totally irrelevant. Just keep producing.
  13. e Seriously? I've been a fan for 40 years and the moves we have made are anything but "doing the same thing over again". We have good lines. We lacked playmakers.
  14. Funny, I don;t recall Marrone and crew being here since 2000? Obviously a positive change needs to occur to turn the team into a winner. This may or may not work but it is a change and they deserve every chance to succeed and not be tied to past records of losing staffs......but then again if we do turn it around you'll have to dig a little deeper to find stuff to B word about
  15. We have not blown up the whole thing. There are still a lot of very good players on the roster. Our o-line lost 1 starter. Our D-line is very solid and frankly I can't wait to see what they do in a more aggressive style. We'll probably sign McIntyre back or if not we'll get another FB to replae his 10 plays a year. Kyle Moore is the message board superstar (of course that can change on a dime) but maybe the coaches don't agree....or maybe they will sign him back. Either way I am not losing sleep over it. Get a decent QB and the rest falls into place.
  16. No one is talking about him as the "franchise" guy.....but a smart veteran wouldn't be a horrible stop gap for a year or two while a rookie learns. Hasselback is better than Fitz...and has been to a Superbowl and more than one pro bowl.
  17. good fit here? Draft a rookie and let him earn his way into the job? Not the worst idea.
  18. So he points out the flaws in your thread and you go personal attack? Nice. For the record Dibs is correct. With Lawson our LB core is upgraded. To what extent we don't know yet. Nelson was out all season. And we clearly won't NOT have a QB. How many games was Fitz the difference maker in victory? Anyone stepping in is a wash. Likely an upgrade. Bad, Bad management? I respectfully submit the opposite...these are the first steps to building an NFL roster.
  19. He is from Mount Juliet, TN where I live now (Nashville suburb). We saw him at dinner with hi family last summer. Nice guy. His Dad was my Brother-in-Law's baseball coach in high school.
  20. Why? I don't get the vile (not pointing you out) towards the guy. He is a good depth player and situational pass rusher. He is a team player as evidenced by swithing to LB when asked which was not his natural position and probably the reason so many want him gone. But at the end of the day he is one player and his contract now is not breaking the bank. If they cut him fine, if not that is fine too but it's hardly a signature stamp on the new regime.
  21. Saban suspended them all indefinitely today. I am sure I will run into at least one of them next summer when we drive from Nashville to the Gulf coast...probably either at the drive through at McDonalds getting coffee or on the side of the road picking up trash in an orange jumpsuit. How fricken stupid are some people??????
  22. He has been here only 2 years. Showed some promise his rookie year before injury which turned out to be a BROKEN BACK. The guy busted his ass all off season to come back but just wasn't ready so he went back to BUSTING HIS ASS to be ready for this year, year 3. I don't get all the hate towards him, rather to me he is a guy that I think we should all be pulling for. I know I am. If he is healthy he can be a nice addition to a pretty talended D line. The guy is giving 100%.....this is no McCargo situation.
  23. How is the HC hire a "friend or homer" hire? ...Because Russ Brandon was born in Syracuse? BS. The interviewed several coaches and hired the most impressive one, one that was also being courted by at least 5 teams.
  24. Boo Boo Foot? That seems a little dis-respectful towards one of the guys that gives his all for this team.
  25. No reason to dump Fitz until there is someone better to take the position. It may not be this year. I can live with him being the QB next year, especially if we draft a QB that may need to develop for a year. Of course, be Fitz or Mantitz I will support my Bills QB. But please lets find the long term solution!
