  1. That's my feelings as well. He had one bad game with the dropsies but overall how do they grade him when his strong suit is stretching the field but most of the time CG had him as the decoy. Add a QB who couldn't hit the broadside of a barn from more than 25 yds away when he had a step on the DB. I say most WR develops slow so I'll hold judgement until they get a QB that can through downfield.
  2. More recent than that, was their time in Atlanta...this is more current than his time in Buffalo. It must not have been that great... I see Lovie pegged there as next HC.
  3. As per this link, Seau had damaged brain at time of death
  4. These moves you propose would really be refreshing but a different approach from OBD but I'll play along. Playing devil's advocate if these moves were made (it does take two to tangle) it addresses a perceived immediate need but I like the NE model (where I believe the analytics apply). By trading out of the 1st rd and get more value in rounds 2-4...this model worked pre rookie salary cap & IMO it could still play a factor. If the "new" FO believe the aggressive approach is the norm? Then the whole build through the draft may take a hit because future picks will have to be included in this wheeling & dealing...I know its great for the blogs because it keeps us relevant. Your choice of a QB and a WR is good BUT Nassib is NOT that guy in the 1st rd, IMO this is not the whole Tannehill to the Dolphins...My choice's would be (if your scenario plays out); 1 rd - pick (teens)- LB or OL highest rated that fits scheme 1 rd- pick (20's)- QB Glennon or WR Hunter 2nd- (early)- whichever I didn't get with pick in the 20's- maybe here for Nassib or if Geno fell here
  5. Agreed but that would be a nice problem to have...btw I give Dareus a mulligan due to the circumstance & the sophomore jinks. Watch out for him 2013, he needs to drops some pounds and play between 305-310 (he looked considerably heavier this season) to be effective. Obviously the new DC scheme will play a factor tho...
  6. Does it matter they're both better than what we have, IMO. I'd line Ware up in his standard blind side position. If its JJ he'd play the LDE & I'd move Mario to the blind side.
  7. If that's who they deem the best player at #8 and have a 1st rd rating. Its important that they draft guys that can play in the league and NOT by position...what good is it to draft a position if he's not gonna make it in the league let alone start for your team. I'll go on record at #8 I'm for LB, OL ...it takes two to tangle so moving back may not be an option. Plus Nix has stated that he doesn't like moving out of their spot but if he can move down then I'll add QB to the equation.
  8. 1st- Megatron & DaMarcus Ware Peterson & JJ Watts close 2nd tho.
  9. I agree with the OP, Nix's has stated that his belief is to stick to their board and take the best players available. now if one happens to be at a position of need, then that's a bonus. Free agency is where you fill your area of need position wise...I'm somewhat in agreement with they're stance but it is, what it is. I for one don't want to reach for a QB at #8 if they value him "not 1 st rd" potential. Taking a QB for the sake of need doesn't help the offense if they don't rank him with having starting potential. If an OT is the best value there snatch 'em, this helps the offense as a whole. I'm in the belief of Parcell's build from the middle out and everyone else is J.A.G until these lines are dominant.
  10. Well at least for a half or a game max, he won't...then what? You pretty much summed it all up...
  11. No, not at all but his ceiling as DB will be limited because of his instinct & ball skills. IMO, McKelvin has the athleticism but his role on this team will be special teams and possibly nickle package unless some coach can turn the light on.
  12. He's also bringing with him the Jets DB coach, so you may have something there...just a word of caution, not all DB's are created equal.
  13. LOL! But I like this hiring much better. With his knowledge of the division a benefit, let's see what system he'll dial up for this defense.
  14. Who was that Ted Marchibroda?I can't recall any other that fit this profile in the teams history. Maybe you can explain...Chan was considered a good OC, which I still think he is and NOT a HC. Who else?
  15. Your comparing Paul Hackett to Bill Belichick? Which mentor has the bigger impact on the game? GTFOH, C'MON MAN! Young Hackett may know his stuff but he's been cutting his teeth the last few years against the likes of The Big East opponents (one of the weakest conference in CFB) and now strategizing against the likes of NFL coaches in his division (let alone the league). This has the making of a long adjustment period...I can just hear those comments from AVP when he was thrust into the OC position his first time. I hope the young man has his dads # on speed dial...
  16. If this is indeed your interpretation of his statement & Hackett was his choice all along why would the previously posted SU statements of him remaining as the OC? Look I don't want to go back & forth here but we tried this before as I reference with the Gregg Williams hire and the subsequent novice coaching staff (do we have to go there). OBD doesn't have the foundation or the history to fall back on to not get this right, IMO. In all intent & purposes what has changed at OBD? Wilson not having the final say? If this is true, why would D. Marrone make it known that Mr. Wilson approved on his hire? Could be just to acknowledge (I hope) the owner. But really Ralph aside...doesn't this seem like a typical hire tried before, ie, Williams, Mularkey...the bigger question is are we gonna be tolerable during the process with these neophytes? Will the fan base give them the necessary time to accomplish their goal? I really wish for the best because I love this team but color me skeptical...GO Bills!
  17. +1 Kinda makes my wonder just how a guy was interviewed 4-5 times and his coordinators weren't identified.
  18. One caveat, he was groomed by arguably one of the greatest coach in the modern history of the league. So this comparable is based strictly on age...watching that video with his commentary really displays his youthful zeal but I'M NOT FEELING THIS AT ALL. He's referencing Stonybrook...are you freaking kidding me, C'MON MAN !!!
  19. More kool-aid please...I'm trying to give these guys a chance but things just seem the same. This has me going back to G. Williams first appointees and the uproar from L. Felser was that more gray hair was needed...I'm at a loss.
  20. Only time will tell about this guy, no need to get defensive and call people names... LOL...BTW who do you think he'll be playing against on Sunday's? East Carolina Tech?
  21. Good eye...you may have a chance as a future Bills Scout!
