Seems to me that the Jets' QB situation is a lot like ours: a starter who nobody wants or trusts, a backup who nobody thinks is much better than the starter, hoping that a kid comes along in the first round that is better than the other two guys that suck, and a new system coming into place that nobody knows will work with any of the QBs.

Sorry, I mis-read. So then the answer would be every team with a stud defense and a mediocre offense would be significantly better, since Harbaugh and Rodgers impact the offense of their respective teams. The Bills would still have had Wannstedt as their DC, so the defenseive talent would still have been misused. You'd have to figure that Cinci and Seattle would be much improved, maybe Miami, the Jets, Cleveland a little less so.

Maybe 5 more wins. Chan cost us NYJ (we were not ready to start the season and Indy and Rams games (really bad decisions). Fitz can be blamed for Tennessee and @NE losses with late game screw ups.

I for one don't give him a pass because of his brother. In fact I think he figured that he had some success in his rookie season and probably figured he could duplicate it without a lot of offseason work. Some people have said that he has been overweight since training camp (but I can't confirm that). A lot of young players fall into that trap. For sure, however, his family tragedy had to have been a distraction.
