In my opinion the only marketing ploy left available to Brandon at this point is the marquee coach. An unproven coordinator as head coach or TO like FA signing will simply not get it done from a business standpoint. If the new coach is another Williams, Mularkey or Jauron type hire then I see at minimum a 30% drop in season ticket sales next year. The fans have lost all hope, the only thing that can return even a glimmer of hope to this sad sack franchise is a complete overhaul of the front office and coaching staff.

As much as I want to I could never root against them, but apathy certainly has begun to set in. We will be traveling back to town this Sunday and normally I would DVR the game to watch when I get home but I'm not going to bother. Also, going to the Panthers game in a few weeks has lost a great deal of luster. F this team.

He's been dead to me ever since he did that Cyndi Lauper video.
-
Jauron would never cheat.
-
This is what you decided to post/complain about after watching whatever you could stomach of that abomination?
-
No, actually the Browns, Chiefs, Raiders, and Rams are also all worse than the Bills...
Currently worse? That's debatable. What's not debatable is that each of the teams that you mention above have been in a playoff game this decade.

We are the new Detroit Lions/Arizona Cardinals of the league. In other words, laughing stocks.
Well with the Cardinals in the Super Bowl last year that half of the comparison is no longer valid. It's the Bills and Lions as benchmarks for ineptitude now. A sad state of affairs indeed. Really !@#$ing sad.

I have to pay of direct Tv to see the bills so it wasn't until the 4thQ I gave up.
I'm in the same boat. At this point the games are just an excuse to drink beers with my neighbors.

The report I heard on the radio this morning said that he is going to make it, but the doctors aren't sure if he will be able to speak again. At minimum he will not be able to speak for 6 months.

Not surprisingly, Saints fans don't agree with your analysis OC...

I remember the '98 loss to the Rams (and Tony F-ing Banks) at home 34-33 after being up 11 in the 4th quarter being pretty brutal. That dropped the Bills to an 0-3 start.

It's funny how some people are so bothered by this team, and even consider changing teams or just giving up football. It's just a game, and it's not to say I don't love the Bills and always cheer for them, and it's not to say it doesn't bother me when they lose. Last night I was completely devastated.
That said, I love this team, I love cheering for them, and despite the constant losing, I can't wait for every Sunday to roll around.
I was really surprised that when I came here after the game last night that there wern't five "That's it I'm done with this team forever" threads. I guess ten years of NFL irrelavance combined with the occasional kick to the nuts like last nights game has finally brought apathy to the majority of the fan base.
Oh, and the herpes analogy from stojan was perfect.

Tonight was a gift that we refused to accept.
Yes

Worst defeat? Please. I think we can all agree that these types of losses are routine at this point.

I heard about it while listening to Howard Stern. Baba-booey I think came into the studio and mentioned the first plane hitting the tower. There was a lot of talk of how it was likely an accident, when I finally got to a TV and turned it on I saw the second plane hit and I was sick to my stomach.

I think it's reasonable to label most any kid who's throwing an unholy tantrum in public as "acting bratty".
I also think that parents who let that behavior persist are acting like bad parents.
Which was pretty much his point, I thought.
If either of my children ( 4 and 1.5) are causing a disturbance in public then I remove them from the area until they calm down. However, there is a difference between an all out kicking and screaming tantrum and a "weeping toddler" as quoted in the original article.
-
If you honestly think that all crying babies are "bratty kid(s)," then I'm hard pressed to question whether you're better off never having kids, or hoping you have one in the near future so you can figure out just how absolutely, positively ridiculous you sound. What you're suggesting...that you take a crying baby to a place away from others in a public setting where you can help stop the crying...is accurate. But to unquestionably assume that the baby is crying because it's a brat being raised by a bad parent is just embarrassing on your behalf, and you'd do well to stop commenting on something for which you clearly have absolutely no knowledge.
Thanks LA, that about covers what my response was going to be. The only thing that I'd add DrD is maybe you should offer to babysit some of your friends infants and toddlers a few times and see how that turns out.
-
but wouldnt you think, as a responsible attentive non-selfish parent... that it would never come to this?
I can't tell if you are serious or not, but let's assume that you are. If you can't keep your TWO YEAR OLD child quiet in public then you are an irresponsible, non-attentive and selfish parent? Please.
-
I'd like to see that dirtbag try that while the father was around. If a piece of schitt like that ever touched my crying child, let alone slap him four or five times, he'd be dead. No questions asked. Dead.
And if you're honestly serious that what this guy guy did "stands up" for you "non-parents," here is my sincere hope that you REMAIN a non-parent for as long as possible.
Exactly. As a father, I wouldn't even need to be around when it happened for this guy to get his due. I'd hunt him down.

By the end of October, between five and ten posters will create LAMPs about how they are leaving and are done with the Bills forever. All will post here again by mid-November.

Good for him. I met Jim Ritcher a few years ago at a Sabres-Hurricanes hockey game. He was extremely nice as he answered all my questions about the 90's Bills teams for almost the entire first period intermission. I was shocked at how small he is now, he couldn't have weighed more than 200 lbs.

Tuesday night on the Elmwood strip my son's car got side-swiped while he was parked at the curb. He had just gotten into the car like 5-10 seconds earlier ......... what might have been. 18 yo girl blew a .20. She hit another car and took down a telephone pole too.
For you people that want something real, here it is. The thread's page 1 & 6 for pictures
Horrible, so many fuggin' idiots out there. I don't know what I would do if I ever ran into the jackass that left me half- blind, scarred and hobbled for the rest of my life. I would have wrung his neck right at the scene of the accident if not for the broken leg.

It seems there is a backlash against modern and constant communication. People are annoyed when you talk on a cell phone in a restaurant (for example) but not if you are talking to the person you are with. If you do them both at the same volume, what's the difference? The bystander can't hear both sides of the conversation? If the problem is the volume of the conversation, shouldn't THAT be what is addressed, not how you are having the conversation?
That's the issue, most people don't talk on their cell phones as if the person was sitting across the table from them, they shout.

Give us the gory details!!!! This seems to becoming below-the-belt medical procedure day.
I hope I never have to have one, but who among us know for sure?
They put one in before trauma surgery. One of the side effects of the pain meds they had me on for the broken leg was difficulty peeing. So finally my wife ,the former ER nurse, throws me under the bus and tells the nurse that I will never admit that I can't go on my own and they might as well cath me. That was the first time, then I had to endure it being taken out a few other times after surgeries when they forgot to take it out before I woke up! It's not as bad as you might imagine though....... it's actually much, much worse.
Guaranteed pain relief for bills fans.

The only problem with this is that I don't care one way or the other when another team wins or loses and I never will. True fandom for me cannot be contrived or manufactured. I care when the Bills win or lose.....or at least I used to care a lot more. What I'm doing now is just tuning into the red zone channel and enjoying all the other games that way.
