  1. Oscar Mayer also has some good stuff. Don't sell them short.
  2. Who did they have speak at the convention (I did not watch it)?
  3. That is a good idea. Any place that holds women's self-defense classes would have them. Darin is also correct about the gun stores. They usually sell mace and pepper spray.
  4. It is great to have someone like Rudy here on this site. Regardless of how bad I feel, I always know that there is someone more miserable than myself. Keep up the good work Rudy!!. I was having a pretty crappy day until I read this. Now I feel much better.
  5. ubhock..errr Mr. Clutch: If the Right were to throw out the Republican version of John Kerry, then yes Hillary would beat him. If that situation were to occur, then the Libertarians would probably gain some votes. Not enough to win, unless they start making some changes, but they would continue their ascent. There are some definite changes that can be done to third parties to make them more viable, but it all depends on whether they are willing to make those changes.
  6. I do not see him as a viable contender in 2008. Frankly, I have not seen anyone emerge as a viable candidate on the right. It could spell trouble for the Reps, since any real candidate needs to be making moves NOW. You see the positioning on the Left but nothing from the Right. Hillary would beat Frist, BTW.
  7. You noticed that through the entire task she wanted to take ownership for everything. Once they lost, she changed to "It's not my fault. I can't be held responsible." Yeah, nice leadership there. "I want to take credit when things are going well, but absolve myself of all responsibility when things go wrong."
  8. I think that he is just jealous.
  9. Yup. Red signifies bad things. It could damage the childs' psyche. It is also why some school districts have eliminated spelling tests. You see, with spelling tests there are only right and wrong answers. Well, telling kids that they are wrong could hurt their feelings causing psychological damage. Therefore, remove any possibility of hurting the kids' feelings.
  10. You can't penalize kids nowadays. It could hurt their feelings. Just think of the therapy bills over the public humiliation they would be receiving by being singled out for doing something wrong. Humiliation in front of not only their teammates, but the opposing team and everyone watching the game.
  11. I had the same thing happen to me about 20 years ago. The bonding is still holding up.
  12. This post is proof that not enough money is being spent on education. This person does not even know that the President does not appropriate the money. That task is left to Congress. Funny, Ted Kennedy wrote the legislation for NCLB but was incapable of getting his colleagues to fund it.
  13. It is pretty sad when you have to log in as a different user in a failed attempt to deflect criticism of your original post.
  14. They just need updated textbooks. They still think that Korea is a Japanese colony.
  15. When do the impeachment hearings begin?
  16. So, do you think it is boring?
  17. Well, I watch the Apprentice (yes I know, sad as well) and both shows seem pretty similar. We could easily get a bunch of posters together and form teams (mix dims and pubes on the same team and sprinkle in a few centrists). The problem is the competitions. What do we use for competitions?
  18. It would be quite interesting to see PPP Survivor, but since I have never actually watched the show, I have no idea how we would put it together.
  19. It also makes it a little difficult when there is only one person on the field who actually knows when the game is going to end. Time runs out, but the game does not end because the referee has added extra time for this or that.
  20. I guess you would know, since you have a habit of doing it yourself.
  21. Stats are meaningless out of context. It was the additional commentary which pushed it over the edge.
  22. It was obviously written from a biased POV. Just because you refuse to admit it, does not mean that it does not exist.
  23. I imagine it is impossible to accurately answer that question this soon after the incident. While he may be healthy enough to play, he may decide that it is time to spend more time with the family: in essence a wake-up call to make changes in his life. I imagine that nobody knows at this point.
  24. Damn, it is like I am on the PPP board. The thread starts with a biased view of a situation. Only pointing out the negative while completely ignoring the positive, which gives the reader a purposely skewed perspective on the situation. RK counters with the opposite. As usual, the truth lies somewhere in between these two posts.
