  1. What is the over/under for when the Sniper appears?
  2. He could get financial backing from others.
  3. According to the front page, OGTEleven is 2 years old. Damn, they grow up fast. Happy Birthday you old geezer.
  4. Sucks to be him. Oh, well. He now knows the lesson, "read BEFORE you sign."
  5. It is a good thing that we have unions to protect the employees who screw the company like that.
  6. I make more than that, and I didn't need a union to do it for me. Some people are incapable of providing for themselves, and need the help of others to get these things for them. Those who can, do. Those who can't, rely on unions to get it for them.
  7. They backed out of the NPT. Big deal. They have been threatening that for over a decade. We all know that they were not abiding by it, so what has changed between last week and this. Same with the nukes. We know that have had them since Clinton was in office. Again, what has changed between last week and this?
  8. Did you ask to be included?
  9. Uh-huh. The difference seems to be that I have made myself more marketable then my competitors. Therefore, I had companies competing for my services when I decided to leave my last job. I left because I did not like the way I was being used. Since I always worked to make myself marketable, I had no trouble finding a new job. Again, companies were competing for my services, not me competing against others for the job. Why? Because I EARNED what I have. Hell, I am still getting calls and e-mails from companies wanting me to leave my new job and join their company. They have been tossing out 5 figure salary increases to get me to change companies. Lesson learned here: make yourself marketable. Oh, and the number of jobs thingy: when I was looking late last year, I had hundreds to choose from. Do you want me to send you the link to places like Monster and Careerbuilder? All this and I didn't need a union.
  10. You are not entitled to anything. You earn it.
  11. What is stopping them from getting a better job? It sounds like the only thing stopping them is themselves.
  12. The current generation seems to think that things need to be handed to them instead of earned.
  13. Technically it is possible. Whether that can actually pull it off is another story.
  14. You seem to have a tough time grasping the concept of how businesses work. They are not charity organizations. Their purpose is to make money. If you have disposable people, whose fault is that? The people that made themselves disposable or the company?
  15. No, actually America is about working hard to achieve all of the things you seem so jealous of with the "ivory tower types." Some people B word about not getting that stuff. Others work to achieve it.
  16. Any job can be done for less. The issue would be can you find anyone willing to do the job for less? If they accept the job at the lower pay, that is their problem not the company's problem. Don't blame the company because the employee is willing to work for that lower salary.
  17. Very true.
  18. Damn, you and LA are agreeing. Is this the first sign of the apocolypse? I agree with both of you. There are people who earn what they have, and others who expect things to be handed to them. I never expect ANYTHING to be handed to me. I worked for everything I have and am damn proud of that. If I was not happy with the working conditions or pay, I ask for changes. If I do not receive those changes, I leave and get another job. It is their loss, not mine. Again, I do not need a crutch to get through life and I do not want a crutch to get through life and it seems like too many people rely on the crutch that is the unions.
  19. What is your opinon on unions protecting the lazy and incompetent? Do you support this aspect of unions?
  20. Good post!! The unions have been losing business for the city of Philly. Conventioneers do not want to hold their conventions in the city and their reason is the unions. There is also bickering between unions. I will give you a quick story of one issue that happened: There was a line drawn in the convention center. Everything on one side of the line was the responsibility of one union. Another union would be responsible for the other side of the line. The first union would load materials up to th eline. The other would take those materials to their destination. Well, the first union ran out of room for storing the items, so the union employee placed the boxes on the other side of this line. Well, needless to say, the second union got ticked off and there was a major argument that resulted in violence. All work shut down while negotiators tried to resolve the issue. Give me a friggin break. I have dealt with union and non-union contractors for over a decade. As you mentioned, they need to reform. They are killing U.S. businesses and the workers.
  21. They have tested the TD-1 enough in NK, Iran and Pakistan to have confidence enough in deploying it, as you mentioned. THis can reach Japan. VA is referring to the TD-2 which has the capability to reach Alaska. It has never been successfully tested and it has a severe design flaw. Expect Iran to test this missile and possibly Pakistan. NK and Iran have basically been working together on it and as far as I know it has not gone past the motor testing phase.
  22. It has been deployed.
  23. I am not denying that fact. They just need to get it there, and they can do that.
  24. Accuracy is the issue. They have the technology to hit Japan but the accuracy is not there. Of course, with nuclear weapons you have a little wiggle room regarding accuracy.
  25. Let's see how many people step up their panicking after these revelations.
