  1. The releationship thingy was interesting and a lot of it makes sense. It also jives with some of the things I have seen from other sources (obviously, not as good as your sources). I was just commenting on the last two responses, which seem more like Administration PR even to the point of using "American" terms for things, like "the Hill" and "stateside."
  2. I am having a little trouble believing some of the wording here. I understand that it is an English translation, but something does not seem right about the last two responses. The quotes seem a little too "Americanized." I cannot imagine Ali Ibrahim Al-Tikriti talking like this, so is the author taking some liberties?
  3. He doesn't do groups, but cannot separate himself from his brother. Here is a thought. Try being your own person. I understand the brother thingy, even to the point of the twin thingy (I am a twin). They are well beyond the age of being their own person. The one guy quit because he thought his brother was canned. "My spirit has been broken." Yeah, whatever. I guess he got his spirit back pretty quick when his brother told him he eff'ed up.
  4. Sorry. Haven't read the Times yet. Damn, I knew I needed to read the Times before knowing how I should think.
  5. It started before Clinton, thereby making it W's fault.
  6. ...and they know that they cannot continue their actions (violence) if they want the support from the U.S. I do not see this as a bad thing long term. They were democratically elected. That shows the people that if the government does not give you what you want, you can vote them out. Now that Hamas is in, they are responsible for things that happen. Right now, they are no longer receiving U.S. support. They need the support in order to do what they need to do (rebuild, social programs, etc). Therefore, they will need to stop the violence in order to regain the support. This is a good thing. If they do not stop the violence, thereby not getting back the U.S. support they desperately need, then they will be voted out. This minimizes support for Hamas in the future. Again, this is a good thing. Overall, I think that this is a good thing for them long-term. I see it reducing violence coming out of Hamas.
  7. Congrats to the Nick in RaChaCha family!!
  8. Elvis would have flown down in his spaceship, gotten together with Batboy and Bigfoot and they would have disposed of the body. Shhhh...I can't say any more. They are coming to get me.
  9. Why just five years? They have been getting no-bid contracts for far longer than that...or is this another one of those "history started January 2001" thingies?
  10. 1. The title of what relatively unknown song by a very popular (multi-decade) band on their most famous album describes the Bills under Donahoe's regime? Pink Floyd – The Wall – Comfortably Numb 2. The publicity for the Turin Olympics has been (lackluster) at best. 3. What is the difference between what these guys do In Jersey and some who use similar methods in Canada? They drink Molson instead of Heineken. 4. Who will be the most improved player on the 2006 NE Patriots? Diet Pepsi Machine. 5. Who has the rosiest future in sports? ?
  11. They will let anyone be a mod around here.
  12. Damn, that sucks. I can understand if you left and started with a new company, but you were sold to another company.
  13. Don't you mean "Condolences, R. Rich"?
  14. Give that man a prize!!
  15. 5 sick days with 2 personal days.
  16. Political talk radio does not brainwash people. People who are unable or unwilling to do their own research and want information spoon-fed to them are the problem. If you just blindly believe anything that you are told (beit from talk radio, newspapers, magazines, commentators, etc), then you (I am not saying you personally, just saying people in general) are the problem.
  17. The reason why I ask is that people are too apt to increase taxes instead of addressing the real problem, which is out of control spending. Spending needs to be cut. The problem is that Congress does not have the spine to do it and the President does not have the spine to veto the budgets that contain deficits. They just play with the numbers to make things look better. Tough choices need to be made and it is going to piss off a lot of people. Too bad. Spending needs to come down. We need to stop increasing taxes in an attempt to cover up the problem.
  18. Instead of tax increases, if you cut spending by the same amount, how long would it take to erase the deficit?
  19. Yeah...OK...Check into that therapy thingy. Of course, you might have to remove the tinfoil hat first, or are you afraid that the stormtroopers of the Bush cabal are going to steal it from you?
  20. You can't actually believe the crap you type, can you? If so, you need to seek immediate therapy.
  21. Exactly. Congress cannot control itself, so the budget will dramatically increase before it is sent back to the President and of course, the President will just rubber-stamp it.
  22. Well, if that is all you can afford. Me, I plan on taking my private jet to Europe this weekend. Nice Valentine's Day present for the Mrs.
  23. I got a tax cut too. I guess that means I am rich. WOOHOO!! Time to retire!
  24. Why would she be loyal to you if you are openly fantasizing about banging Reese? BTW, did you see Mandy on last night's episode of Scrubs? Guest starring with her fiancee Zach.
