  1. I hear what your saying and i don't like the hurricanes, with that being said whenever i have watched them and they have thrown the ball to him he has caught it and made plays, i guess the term potential is what i should use as much as i hate to use it, is the word to describe olsen. I believe he has the potential and skills to be a real good tight end, seems to be a high character guy (how often can you say that in the same sentence as a hurricane player).
  2. Ok maybe tore it up was not the best phrase to use, how is has been consistently productive for a college that produces very good tight ends on a consistent basis? I agree that te is not as big a hole as alot of other areas and that is the only reason i don't see the bills getting him. Before the combine most people had miller the top tight end and alot of mocks had him at the end of one or beginning of two, if you like workouts or not the combine likely catapaulted olsen ahead of miller and not just in the athletic drills his hands looked better. If you think olsen is an average tight end in college i have no idea what college games you watch, care to share?
  3. I have posted about this twice before his combine and most people shot it down, i really like they guy and have thought alot of him his whole time at miami,he has tore it up since he got their. Most of the responses i got were lukewarm at best, now mostl like him because his awesome combine. I don't think he will make it to the second round unfortunately and although it's not a huge need position i hope we swing another first rounder and land him. He would add a huge dimension to this offense and help jp out alot in my opinion!
  4. least: Willis Mcgahee, BIlly Joe Hobert most: Chris Speilman, Antoine Winfield, Kelly, thomas, tasker
  5. good observation, and in my opinion the afc east was the toughest division last year, interesting to see how it will shake out this year!
  6. my thoughts exactly, rhodes combined with either a rookie who can step right in and fill considerable time or the atrain would be my choice, with that said i think rhodes would want to much in a contract to justify a two back system. The two back system is coming back look at all the teams that used it nicely this year wouldn't mind having it here if we didn't have a true 25-30 carry guy!
  7. Type in footballs future 2007 nfl draft on yahoo or any search engine, it has a ton of mock drafts, combine coverage (not real sure on how thorough), there top 20, and player bios. This is the site i like the best but i am going to have to check out the others stated!
  8. I agree in a way if McGahee is gone but if he is here for another year why not take a develpemental guy,rbs tend to pick it up up early also.Jacksonis a guy that was in a loaded backfield in nebraska and had over a 100 yars in every game he had 20 plus carries, i know college isn't the nfl but i really like the guy. He not only has good hands but is a tough between the tackle runner!
  9. i like chris brown he's a good running back my only two complaints are he runs to upright and is hurt too often, the prior might have something to do with the latter!
  10. I was surprised with the number but alot of people questioned aaron schobels contract extension a few years ago, kelsay is a le and in my opinion is real good against the run and improving with his pass rush. I thought last year was going to be his bust out year but now i am saying this year!
  11. I like nebraskas' brandon jackson, had a 4.57 40 which isn't the greatest but he has good hands did very well in the shuttle and has a 37 inch vertical. I would think he will be a 4th or later pick but who knows.
  12. First up pyrite responded to a post of a poster of a poster who responded to mine, i have been coming here for 6-8 years and i have 150 postsor so, i use the wall like you do. I in no way am i crybaby just someone giving my opinion, you don't like it then don't read it!
  13. I didn't type sit on my hands,as i am sure you realize! As has been stated in this thread rb is one of the easier positions to draft with that being said replacing willis is not a sho-in, it might not work out. Who says the giants are the only team interested if the other teams in the league value WM as much as alot of people on this board do the bills should have half the teams in the league calling them. If we decide or are stuck keeping willis' which is very likely i really like Brandon jackson of nebraska, he only ran a 4.57 but hasgood hands out of the backfield and hits the hole nicely and should be a late 4th-6th round pick,i think he would be worth a look again just my opinion
  14. Olsen was nothing like Everett in college, Everett played one year at miami if i am not mistaken and olson has been seeing major time 3-4 years i think even starting! I thought he looked linear also but he actually weighed in at over 250, also everett ran in the 4.7's and olsen 4.5. I have mixed emotions i like the guy but realize we have so many other needs but feel that a legit receiving target at tight end or out of the backfield would help losman alot.
  15. hey this is my opinion nothing more, but isn't most of the time the case you don't have anything better at the Time , hell thats what free agency and the draft are for. If the bills sit on there hands and don't TRY to improve and make something happen it's not going too!
  16. Actually leonard has lost 12 lbs. i believe for the combine weighed in at 224, he wants to play tailback!
  17. Before the start of last season i didn't fully want willis' ass gone it has been a process, from his half ass running, dancing in the backfield, and his ignorant coments, from seeing anthony thomas come in and run with more heart than he runs with, from giving him the benefit of the doubt over his knee injury (time to heal), to the point that next year he's gone, why not make a move now? I don't think as i have stated he's a complete running back, he can catch but he's not nimble, doesn't have great vision and can't cut worth a crap,so yeah i was leaning that way last year, now i'm there.
  18. Willis would have had, what makes you think it's a sure thing he's gone? I hope he's gone knowing the type of impact he could have (contract year) but why does it take contract year to entice these guys to play better, why can't they be that motivated to be the best unless it's about the money? Mcgahee if i i know anything about it will have his best year this year in atleast the last three, which isn't saying alot, but i hope marv finds his replacement and his ass is gone!
  19. I realize everbodys thinking it's his contract year why not keep him and let him perform, but i also see if we can get a 4th or better for him when he is very likely gone next year why not? I don't like the guy, but that no means suggests he's a cancer in the locker room i just don't see the consistentency and heart from the guy that all great runners have . Pyrite would you want him back if he had a great year next year knowing the kind of money he will command, i wouldn't i don't see him as a complete running back and i don't ever think he will be. 95 percent of the best rbs ever have been 5'9-5"10, 210-220 lbs guys that can cut and are nimble enough to be a threat out of the backfield and i want one in that mode!
  20. About a month ago i posted how high i was on olsen the te out of miami, and asked the question if he fell to us in the 2nd round should we grab him. Unfortunately theres no way in hell it's going to happen now after the combine he has been having 4.45 and 4.47times (4.51 officially) and he's shown great hands, people seemed down on the guy. I totally based my likeness to him on what he has done on the field but i thought he would be lighter than the 250 lbs or so he logged in at,if the bills could trade down some spots and grab him and get an extra pick i would be for it though i know it's not a huge need! The running back position is completely a different story, i have been sick of Mcgahee for the last three years to me he hasn't shown consistent heart and is simply a dumbass, i realize it's his contract year and he will most likely play better, but i hope they can trade him. The bills need a running back who can do it all run, catch, and receive, a guy who has vision and can cut on a dime ala thurman. With Marv being here and Mcgahee shooting of at the mouth i think it's possibillity now that we can get a 3rd rounder for him anything more would be icing on the cake. I hope the bills can fill the majority of there holes through free agency mainly being the ol which i don't keep track of it i hope there is viable guards out there besides steinbach he seems to exspensive for the bills means of cap dollars. My ultimate offseason would be trading McGahee for a third getting olsen at say 18 and picking up an extra pick, getting a rb in the 2nd or 3rd i like nebraskas jackson i don't think he's a speed demon but like his skills (i am nebraska bias). That leaves guard maybe 2, an extra dt and and cb to address in either the draft or free agency, i just hope marv can get it done with the way they are supposedly going to spend the money, if he can we can contend next year. Thanks for reading and responsding in advance i have a tendency to ramble on!
