  1. If this is true its really good...love the team option as an alternative to Sammy--smart..
  2. And stay off my !@#$ing grass and outta my yard...
  3. I said no green !@#$ing M&Ms and what are there in this candy dish -- green !@#$ing M&M's...the car is 73 degrees not 72 degrees like I wanted...get me outta here..
  4. I was ready to throw this year away--even after the draft. But they didn't stop working on this year's roster. Hodges is a really good signing. Gives the Bills LB Depth and also provides an option to put Alexander with a hand on the ground at DE in the nickel. Maclin would be a great get. What the Bills had to trot out on the field a couple of games last year for skill positions was pathetic. Six deep with 2 #1's and a great potential player in Jones at receiver would be tremendous. If Pegulas, Beane and Coach McD can get this done -- the light of hope for this year returns for me joining the hope I have for the future.
  5. Thanks for the information. Much. much appreciated. Hope this turns out better than Vince Young.... Thanks Yolo..as always you are on top of things. Hope this one works out....He can go right into OTA practice...
  6. Because he was released after the business day closed on Friday (I assume after 5 PM ET). Rules say you have to wait until 4 PM on the next business day (Monday) to make contact if its after the business day closes.
  7. I truly have considered this coming year as a throw away year....a move like getting Maclin helps this team greatly and balances the current and future focus that Coach Mc and Brandon Beane have discussed. Combined with getting Hodges, Maclin makes the Bills competitive with the 6 or 7 teams who have a legit shot at the wildcard.
  8. We are all witnessing the football version of UCLA basketball 1964-75, the UConn women, the Yankees 1947-58; UNC Women's soccer; etc..-something epic that pro football may never see again. He is the best player on a franchise that may blow away previous standards of excellence in a sport where its arguably the hardest to sustain winning. I wish they were in the NFC east...I hate everything about them...but I admire and respect particularly Brady who has truly made himself the greatest.
  9. Understand your opinion J from H. Mine is the Bills are not in a position to win the Division--so that means one of two wildcards--I don't think that is realistic either. The pool of wildcard teams is likely the Chiefs, Broncos, Bengals, Ravens, Dolphins, Texans, Colts, Titans--(assuming Raiders, Pats, Steelers and one of the Colts, Texans, Titans division winners). I don't think the Bills stack up against those teams to make the top 2....in that case I think we focus on the future.
  10. Its a throwaway year...I would rather have the rollover cap...
  11. Dennis Pitta TE Ravens suffered what appeared to be another serious hip injury in OTAs today. Barnidge could have another potential suitor.
  12. I'd look at the Marrone/Hackett offense and run the other way if I was a TE...
  13. Yes, 11 years - get to two games a year from North Carolina.
  14. This is positive as well in Dareus' own words and actions. Supporting a cause like making a difference in the lives of Haitian children could really give him focus. It's a way to honor his father's family..hopefully a great step. https://theundefeated.com/features/buffalo-bills-marcell-dareus-haiti/
  15. In the real world if I buy a ton of the best copy paper available and the world goes to digital content, I am stuck with the copy paper. I liquidate it. Take my loss and go on. I still have all my resources available with no limits to buy digital reading assets. My mistake on copy paper doesn't hinder me from spending all I have on digital reading assets. In the NFL world, I have a fixed amount I can spend. I try to reserve my big contracts for players who play well, are dedicated to the team and follow the fairly simple off-field code of conduct rules. The issue is if I mess up on paying for one of the big contracts -- I invest in a player who cannot do all three performance aspects of the above and I decide to cut him or trade him--it limits what I can spend for other players. It hinders me. In Darues' case it costs me 4 or 5 decent salary slots for a year. So its really not the same--it damages my team for a while if I cut bait and make a mistake with a large contract. The only message cutting him sends to the existing team is that we want to suck for a while--and don't stay here or come here if you have a choice because we are focused on sucking.
  16. Beane is really smart. He won't take a cap hit that is the equivalent of about 4 quality players in 2018. He knows we are married to Dareus for this season and next. If I were the Bills, I would explore doing what the Texas Rangers and Cincinnati Reds did with Josh Hamilton -- invest in a 24/7 sponsor that Marcel trusts. It turned Josh around (temporarily at least). I know that Marcel has been reaching out more and more to mentors the last year. There was the article about conversations with Bruce Smith during the suspension. There are others...Bama football is a built-in support network...I think this can only be good.
  17. Use of the term by Polian might have something to do with the Dareus sailor's hat... http://a.espncdn.com/media/motion/2016/0726/dm_160726_Dareus_Bills_Rex_Ryan/dm_160726_Dareus_Bills_Rex_Ryan.jpg
  18. Hats off to Beane....it appears he could sell ice to Eskimos
  19. Everyone of the scouting/personnel staff had other jobs. Pegula investments and Beane's recruiting power...a great combination so far...
  20. I like the hire...got a good Joe(l)
  21. Ditto..still think it's cool that Buffalo is the epicenter of this development.
