  1. WGR's announcement of the signing (linked on the home page) confirms that Everett will not play this year.
  2. God Bless Terrell Owens...he has changed the world.... This move was easy to predict. Its not enough to hold out--that means he has to share media time with all the other hold outs and guys like Pac Man Jones are just as bombastic. No--you want to report, fake the severity of an injury, make a scene with the coach and then leave...that's the way to get maximum attention.
  3. God bless them...heal their pain with fond memories of Hunter--a child who changed the world.
  4. With George Seifert, Ty Law, Jim Morrison and Elvis
  5. Nice Job! Talk about welcome back....welcome back G!!! Hope this means you will be posting a little more frequently. I would rather have one Ross Tucker than one each Lawrence Smith and Ben Hottubeski anyway.
  6. Cecil the Diesel Collins was just released from the Broward Bitches of the Florida Penal League. I think he would make a fine #2 RB...and designated team degenerate.
  7. I heard it was JP Straight up for McNabb....just reported by the one of the drunks at the park along the Delaware in downtown Philly... ....now Josh Reed for Simon and Tra Thomas and you have a deal....
  8. Any situation where the Bills opponents utter the phrase... "When you play the Bills, some the advantages they have just aren't fair." Is just fine with me....All hail Jason Peters...he is Goliath and unfortunately for those on our schedule rocks and slings aren't allowed in the NFL.
  9. Just about says it all.....
  10. #89-- this is a great idea. I went to the Hunter's Hope website donation page and made a donation in memory of Hunter in honor of TwoBillsDrive... Hunter's Hope Donation Page
  11. Rayzer--I hope they continue to say bad things about JP throughout the preseason. Look at this kid's life. He has had to travel the difficult path to success at every stop: - Growing up around drugs and gangs and his racial make-up making him at outcast at every turn - People pressuring him to become the hometown college hero and him following the road to New Orleans - Branded as too cocky/bad attitude out of college (I seem to remember the last kid we drafted with this type of reputation -- I think we called him the pizza kid when we drafted him--turned out okay) - It seems only natural that the gurus would criticize his play right now after only a week of training camp and one scrimmage where he converted third downs, showed mobility and more importantly the ability to make plays on the move but made some mistakes.. This kid will not give up. He will not cave into pressure. This kid has faced pressure all his life. 65,000 hostile Packer fans is nothing compared to what this kid has probably dealt with in his life. As far as the critics--bring it on...it will only motivate him more. Its important that his teammates and the fans, particularly those he sees every day at training camp; downtown near his condo, stay with him..in essence they are his family now. I saw enough Friday night to tell you he has the potential to be special...we need to let him grow into the role and we have the supporting cast around him to allow that to happen. This could be a lot of fun.
  12. My, that's a fine looking daughter you have there sir. I have a few friends who have went the divorce and pick a younger generation route....a majority really struggle with it after the mid-life crisis/joy of unhibited sex with a young, firm body part is over....in most cases it would have been a lot less expensive just to buy a Porsche or classic Corvette... Skip Caray (announcer for the Braves) has a great line when the Braves have an afternoon weekday game. Skip says..."I see a lot of older guys have brought their nieces to today's game." As far as advice Yooooo...stay away from my daughters when they turn 19 or 18 for that matter..
  13. Clumpy, its the new John Clayton math .... Thanks for the last update...
  14. The poll answer perfectly illustrates most poster's opinion of JP....it changes based on the last play...we have even gone past series by series evaluations. Soon we will be criticizing the way he received a snap or articulated the cadence even if the play result is a perfectly thrown TD pass to Evans....
  15. We are in another 2 or 3 year cycle to find out if JP is the one that returns this team to one that annually competes for the Super Bowl for a stretch of years. Todd Collins, Rob Johnson, Doug Flutie, AVP, Drew all have failed in this quest, although some would argue Flutie was never given an unfettered chance. No matter what we fans think, JP will be given this opportunity to sink or swim. Only injury or a season ruining string of losses and poor performance will send him to the bench during the 2005 or 2006 season. That's what it means to the Bills to commit to a young QB. Other teams operate differently, but not TD, Coach Moo, Clements, Wyche and the rest of the braintrust. Montana, Esiason didn't become good QB's under Wyche because they were replaced when they made mistakes--mistakes were viewed as part of their development...JP has the same long rope. Realize it and embrace it...it can be fun.
  16. Greg Jerman walks back to Buffalo....
  17. Jeez if you weigh 11 oz go out and get a pizza, some wings and some high carb beer. Maybe they messed up Sams weight when they did the conversion from tons to pounds?
  18. God bless that little fighter...he made all of us proud. Godspeed little guy--in many ways your time on earth changed the world.
  19. Must have censored the part about the veal cutlets and pool of pickle juice...
  20. Excuse me while I wipe the diet coke off my screen.... My wife thinks you are really funny Beer....and its obvious that she has a sense of humor..she married me...God bless her.
  21. I sent a note to Sam Adams' players association mail box and he just wrote me back to tell me he appreciates fans like me...so there.... Can't believe he is skipping the Green Bay practice to write me back, but that's okay I guess.
  22. Go to a Sam's or Costco and buy the dozen tin altoid pack (its like $10) and then just give one tin to several members of your team including her--that way everyone can offer her one when she comes by. If she doesn't get it after the first round, rotate it among the team to buy more....
  23. Sad but true T, but I wouldn't limit it to just the Vikings--it was a wake up call to every team and the league.
  24. Mularkey's quote about the old days when he played under Bud Grant: "When I played for Bud (Grant in the early 1980s), there was no water on the field," Mularkey remembers. "But if there was a cattle warning on the radio and the farmers were warned to bring their cattle in, we'd get a water break." I bet he is telling the team that when he was growing up in Miami he walked to school uphill both ways through 5' drifts of snow or beach sand or whatever... I know the emphasis was not on hydration during Coach Moo's time as a player..but I thought the quote was funny...
  25. Good Point on the CBA Ennjay. It will take some creativity, but I think we can get this done now. We can actually GAIN a little cap space this year...Nate's cap hit is about $3.5 Million for this year. Let's say we do something like 7 years, $49 Million--collecting $25 Million in the first three years--including this year which I believe gives us the 5 year amoritization. Contract is: $10 Million up front this year (5 year amoritization) $6 Million additional gauranteed (Not Roster) bonus in '06 (4 year) $4 Million additional gauranteed (Not Roster) bonus in '07 (3 year) Salaries: 2005 Vet Min - $600K 2006 $1.4 Million 2007 $3 Million 2008 $3 Million 2009 $4 Million 2010 $8 Million 2011 $9 Million Cap hits with amoritization: 2005 $2.6 Million (Save $900K this year) 2006 $4.9 Million 2007 $7.83 Million 2008 $7.83 Million 2009 $8.84 Million 2010 $8 Million (all bonuses amoritized) 2011 $9 Million I think this is fair for everyone...Nate is rich in the first three years...Bills get some backend flexibility with no cap hit if Nate is released after 2009. Someone will correct me I am sure if I have the CBA rules wrong..
