  1. With Freddy & CJ still getting dinged on a weekly basis this is somewhat surprising to me.
  2. How can anybody argue with lyrics like "There won't be snow in Africa this Christmastime"?
  3. Tied for 1st at 10-3 winner of 9 straight. Lead the league in points scored. I beat the other 3 teams that should make the playoffs in the past 3 weeks. GO TERMINATORS!
  4. "An Indian showed me this trick. If you put your ear to the ground you can hear the herd approaching."
  5. hate carting up bin after bin after bin full of holiday crap from the basement. like decorating the tree and seeing it when done hate putting everything away and carting down bin after bin after bin full of holiday crap to the basement
  6. I didn't mean to /thread so soon... Thankfully I've never heard that before and hopefully never do again. Yowza.
  7. The Alistair Sim version of A Christmas Carol from 1951 is my favorite holiday movie. I do like Elf too. Does Love, Actually count as a holiday movie? What about Home Alone?
  8. here's mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=V9BZDpni56Y
  9. I thought you meant this one - the original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=eslz06J9hFw
  10. I ended up with a de Lyeth Merlot (Sonoma), and a Hermann Wiemer semi-dry Riesling (Finger Lakes) both of which were quite good. She enjoyed the Merlot enough to take the bottle home with her.
  11. Considering the snake is now in the back of a truck, I don't think it's gonna get that chance.
  12. Did I mention I'd rather not spend $50/bottle?
  13. Mother-in-law partial to reds, particularly Merlot. Most of the rest of us are more white wine folks although prefer not-so-dry. Thoughts on some nice wines to try? I'll be wine shopping this evening... PS - I'm leaning toward a Riesling for the white bottle.
  14. It's all part of our covert plan to get a yearly game to be played at Sahlen's stadium here in Rochester
  15. Actually I blame Bon Jovi for leading the devolution of metal into popular "hair band" crap in the early-to-mid 80s. Them and Def Leppard.
  16. when it comes to ticket sales, according to Russ Brandon on WGR this morning.
  17. He's barely music.
  18. Actually making beers too expensive makes the problem worse - it gives people incentive to drink more outside the stadium. The team likes not only the revenue of alcohol sales, but also the control over who gets served, how much, proofing underage people etc.
  19. Hammer, as you're well aware that that section of road is closed to traffic before during and after games. At that point, legally, it may not even be a road.
  20. I lead the league in points scored, and this week I've already wrapped up my 8th straight win to go to 9-3 and tied for first - Thank you Ryan Fitzpatrick for being a solid last-second bye week pickup!. The last 3 weeks I've defeated 3 of the other 4 teams in the top 5, and I play the 4th next week. The bottom half of the league has already given up and stopped setting lineups which sucks, as the guy I'm tied with plays 2 of them in the last 2 weeks of the regular season.
  21. At that point it becomes an Interpol matter because he'd be crossing the border for the purpose of committing a crime.
  22. At least we'd save on the royalties every time they play "Livin on a Prayer" at the Stadium
  23. This is the latest I've seen, from earlier this week:
  24. Going down. There's something I'd like to see.
