  1. I was pretty skeptical of it at the time as im not just saying this now. Kickers are so up and down in the nfl and there's really only a couple guys you can trust year in and year out. While bass was "good" his first 3 years, he was never really a top tier kicker IMO Why not just let him play out the 4th year of his contract and then make a decision from there?
  2. The biggest issues in my opinion is injuries, especially on defence. 2021- Tre white- prob win that chiefs game with him 2022- tons of injuries on d but I still think they lose to the bengals as bills were flat 2023- Down to our 4th string retired linebacker in Klein covering Kelce Meanwhile chiefs stayed relatively healthy during those games and didn't have any major pieces missing. I am not a "excuse guy " but objectively the bills have had some bad luck with injuries, especially on the d side
  3. Oh Von miller- you mean the guy who didn't play the back half of the season last year and the guy who got payed like 4 mil per tackle this year? The man was a healthy scratch this year for a game, that's how bad he was🤢 Diggs is close but I don't think he will make it - and he comes up small every time they play the chiefs, unlike what the chief elite players do to us Tre white no way as injuries stopped that in 2021 I agree. I'm not sure if you read the convo in what I was saying to the other poster, but that's exactly what I'm trying to say about Lamar vs josh. Where I disagree with though is "Josh beating Mahomes". It is not boxing and a 1 on 1 matchup. 13 seconds game was Josh's fault? Even this year. Diggs drops a 80 yard TD and our 5 mil kicker shanks a kick. If Josh played bad against the chiefs I would agree. But the guy has been elite against the chiefs in the playoffs the last two times they lost and it's way more to do with the coaching/supporting cast than "Josh not beating Mahomes"
  4. Let's keep it super simple: How many hall of famers has Mahomes played with? Hill, Andy Reid, Kelce, Chris jones at a minimum? So 4. And those guys all come up massive in big games for the chiefs. Josh? 0...
  5. Lamar will prob have 2 mvps and Josh has 0- does that mean he's objectively better than Josh? Eli has 2 rings, Josh has 0. Does that mean he's objectively better than Josh? Brock Purdy has been to a SB and is in the mvp race- is he objectively better than Josh? Got to be a bit careful when you just look at "objective" things as it doesn't tell the whole story at all. It is a complete team game
  6. Gabe Davis? lol.. You are missing two massive factors here Chiefs o line, and Andy Reid. Bills o line was finally descent this year. But McDermott doesn't come even close to Andy Reid and chiefs o line has been top 5 (at least) in football the last 4-5 years.
  7. This was the big off season move I was looking for
  8. I mean, I see your point about Mahomes as it's hard to argue he's not #1 now. But it is a team sport and personally I'm not a fan of judging players just by championships. Does Mahomes go to 4 super bowls without one of the greatest head coaches and tight ends of all time? Not too mention other hall of famers he has played with. (Hill, Chris jones) (And even an all time clutch DC in Spags)
  9. I think thats worth it for a franchise QB. Like if we are in the drought years, I would have been thrilled to do that for a QB like Lamar. But the reason teams were scared off was because Lamar was looking for fully guaranteed money and no owner/gm was going to trade those assets and give him the fully guaranteed deal
  10. "Great" is over stating it I think. He is a descent/good QB. But I don't think he's good enough to consistently compete with josh, Mahomes, burrow etc
  11. I will almost guarantee he gets more. The cap goes up every year, so that's just the way it works. He will probably get 45-48 per year if I were to guess. Term/guarantees will Be the big numbers to look at though
  12. This is not a boxing match. It's not "burrow vs josh ". Burrow plays against the bills defence and Josh plays against the bengals defence. Spags always gets "slapped " by Josh , where his defences does well against burrow in the playoffs
  13. As soon as they didn't get it I said this games over. Dumb dumb decision
  14. Great coach but horrible game. That last 4th down call I see how he wanted to go for it. But that 4th and 2 to potentially go up 27-10? Inexcusable to go for it IMO
  15. It wasn't back and forth at the time though. Would have been 27-10 with 22 minutes left
  16. I will respectfully disagree as I can't say the odds of making a 45 yard Fg is in the same ball park of converting a 4th and 2
  17. How are the odds the same though? Perfect weather conditions, 45 yard kick is what probably 80 percent? 4th and 2, 50/50, maybe 55/45 at best?
  18. So it was burrow vs Mahomes? Didn't know it was a boxing match
  19. If your kicker can't make a 45 yard field goal in perfect weather conditions, then you need a new kicker
  20. 45 yarder it would have been in perfect weather conditions Your kicker absolutely has to drill that kick
  21. That 4th down call changed the game 27-10 it could have been with all the momentum
  22. I hear you. Just given the circumstances though, I would have absolutely taken the 3 to make it a 3 score game. If it's a 10 point game? Sure go for it to make it a 3 possession game.
  23. Dan Campbell has to take the 3 points there. You have a chance to go up 3 scores with 22 minutes left...
  24. Based on what? I think you meant to say cincis defence is way better than the bills. Look at Josh's stats compared to burrows against the chiefs
  25. Lamar is a great QB, but he's not on Joshs and Mahomes level. At least in big games Tier 1: Josh, Mahomes Tier 2: Burrow, Lamar
