  1. Relative to their positions- Milano, Benford, Tre White (2020 contract), Taron Johnson, Spencer Brown, Josh and Dawkins were all better than cook when they signed their extensions here . Wouldn't you agree with that?
  2. Ya I think you're right. Plus Torrence contract coming up as well
  3. Ya I don't disagree with that. Like I said I think he's good. But I also don't think he's good enough to win on the road in a playoff game . (Like at Buffalo, Baltimore, KC)
  4. I've seen Tua play a lot . And if the bills aren't on or when there are commercials, I'll always put on dolphins games. (Unless they are winning convincingly) In my opinion after seeing him play a lot, he's a pretty good to good quarterback
  5. I understand that. I felt like the context in which the poster used that in was to bash Tua a bit. Or at least undermining his success because the scheme is "good and tailored to him "
  6. He's a good player. But if I were to pay one, I would pay McGovern. Bills have one of the best o lines in the league, and McGovern is the quarterback of that. We could have Barry sanders back there as a weapon, but it wouldn't matter if the o line can't block
  7. I wasn't necessarily referring to you as you never said he sucked. But you kind of did now haha. The scheme argument I can just never understand though. McDaniel put together a scheme for his strengths, yes. Was he supposed to make a scheme for his weaknesses?
  8. Ya I don't get it either. My only guess is a lot of people just watch him play against the Bills and he tends to struggle those games lol. Because I really don't get how you can watch a large sample size from Tua and come away thinking the guy sucks .
  9. Fair-For the record I am not trying to argue that Tua is a great QB. My overall argument is Miami isn't as much as a joke as a lot of us think. Because if their starting QB is healthy , they easily have 10 wins last year IMO and make the playoffs
  10. I am not asking this to be condescending as I'm genuinely curious- Do you watch a lot of Miami football? Their offence is completely lost without Tua. It's pretty black and white and I'm sure any advanced stat would back that up Of course every team will take a step back with their backup, but the drop off is next level in Miami with Tua hurt as McDaniel has a very complexed, timing based offence. He definitely has flaws. But one thing he does a really good job at is beat up on bad teams. Which goes back to my original point- If Tua is healthy, Miami is a playoff team last year as they lost multiple games against bad teams when he was injured.
  11. I would argue McGovern is more critical than Cook. And I would bet his next contract will reflect that as I think he will make more than Cook
  12. Their offence is 10x better with Tua in the lineup Vs when he's out. I think That's pretty black and white based on the big sample size. You don't agree with that?
  13. Agreed. Hes a brilliant offensive mind. But doesn't really have it as a head coach In my opinion he Kind of reminds me of a better version of chan gailey in a way. Very Good offensive mind, erratic play calling at times, and not an overall good coach.
  14. For sure I agree. I just think sometimes we like to rip on Miami, because yes, they are definitely are a flawed team- But to me I really think it's as simple as can Tua stay healthy. If he can, they proved they are a playoff team. When he misses extended time, they can't overcome it.
  15. All true. But for Miami it's as simple as this: When Tua is healthy, they are a wildcard team. When he's not, they crumble. Last year they got 8 wins, but if Tua was healthy they easily would have had 10 and a playoff spot So If Tua stays healthy, they probably get 10 wins this year . That's a big "if " mind you lol
  16. Ya exactly- He's got 0 leverage. And the more time he misses, the more chance for rust he will have to start the season. Not exactly smart in a contract year IMO
  17. Respectfully I'm not sure I buy your first point. I was just using Edwards and McGovern as examples. If you're a good receiver, you're going to be playing in the nfl for 10 years. But yet they hold out all the time in contract years.
  18. Imagine if every single player had that mindset though. Didn't practice because it was "business "? I am sure McGovern, David Edwards and guys like that are worried about injuries in a contract year. But they still show up and practice
  19. In years past that wasn't the case as McDermott always went with "doing your 1/11th of the defence", instead of maybe leaning into more athleticism. But I think this year you might be right, as I think the Bills are going to lean into more athleticism
  20. Cook is a good player but I hope they don't extend him. A lot of expensive contracts on this team, and I think going economical at the RB position is the way to go IMO
  21. Just listened to Joe Marino and he said the bills are using a lot of 5 man pressures. Love to hear that, as I think most of us are sick of the bills playing passive on defence
  22. You know he missed 4 games last year because of injuries, right? Thats part of the reason Jerry Jones doesn't want to pay him. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1D1xNbcrZu/?mibextid=wwXIfr
  23. He typically plays in these practices in years past if my memory is correct. Not sure why he didn't this year
  24. Putting Josh Allen out for a couple 11 on 11 drives in a scrimmage practice for the kids impacts the bills chances at getting a Super Bowl?
