But when you’re in a nickel defence against heavy sets all game when you know the other team wants to run the ball ? Not a good look IMO

That’s a fair point on the offensive side. I still don’t like the defensive game plan at all though in terms of being passive

I guess we will agree to disagree. When I’m the heavy favourite, I want as many possessions as possible and I want to challenge them into a shoot out, not a ground and pound time of possession game

The offence let them down sir, we are in agreement there. The bills shouldn’t be playing a time of possession game against the Jets though.. Thats what underdogs want, not 11 point favourites

Ya exactly. Like if they have this game plan/outcome on defence against the chiefs, I’m thrilled with it. But to run a bend but don’t break defence against Zack Wilson who is horrible under pressure is just inexcusable.

I hate the “they only gave up” argument. Ok they let up 20 points. three, 8 minute drives. So of course that will limit the Jets scoring cause you’re content on letting them gash you with clock, but also you’re limiting the offences chances. I would rather them play more aggressive and give up 24 points without those killer 7-8 minute drives against them

First half he played well I thought. 2nd half I thought he was horrible

I am not saying that. But it just seems like his play depends way too much on circumstances around him. When the line is good, he’s descent . When it’s not, he’s bad . Like basically any average linebacker. so why would we pay him 15-18 mil a year

It’s got to be game plan specific. Ideally you want Taron in there, but when you’re Constantly getting gashed by the run in a nickel package against 2 tight end sets , it’s time to make adjustments.

I mean, yes you’re right in terms of the scoring. But when you limit Josh’s possessions , that’s a huge win for the Jets. They can’t win a shootout with the bills and they knew it. I think they had three, 8 minute drives. That was a huge factor in the game

Ya This is exactly what I’m trying to say. Frazier is a good DC, but he’s not right for this team. When you have an elite QB, (yes he had a bad game) who cares if you give up the odd long TD. You are literally playing right into what the other team wants to do, by controlling clock and keeping Josh on the sidelines

when the d line plays well early in the year and Edmunds was playing solid, he Gets a ton of credit. And when players around him aren’t great and he doesn’t play well, it’s not his fault? It can’t go both ways..

Offence was horrible, it’s not relative to the post in terms of the TOP and bill parcels reference to this thread. But when the defence is constantly getting gashed for 7-8 minute drives and they let up a game winning 90 yard drive that chews off 7 minutes while burning 3 time outs, they deserve a lot of blame.

Its not a blueprint if Frazier adjusts his defence, but I’m afraid he won’t. Why he won’t get out of nickel against heavy packages, or bring pressure all game against a guy who had a 19 passer rating against pressure is just mind boggling to me. I think the Jets had three , 7-8 minute drives today

My thoughts is the bills are still a SB contender, but now have a battle for the division lead with Miami and/or may have to go to arrowhead in the playoffs
