  1. I don't like the scheme to your point, but I think it's mostly lack of talent on the D line. Von in 2022 was ripping it before he tore his ACL.
  2. Worst part is: They trade up for Elam and Kincaid... But they don't trade up for a guy like Brian Thomas. If Coleman flames out, gonna set this team back big time. As you can't have 3 first round busts in a row.
  3. Fair but Benford and Douglas are much better zone corners. Then you're asking them to play man coverage in the highest stakes- Seems counter intuitive to me
  4. I know they weren't- Which exactly speaks to the issue. They build and conduct a heavy zone team all year- But in the playoffs they change to man cause you have to against the great QBs. That should tell you everything you need to know about how flawed their system is
  5. My solution isn't to fire McDermott- But I would hire an outside DC to change this defence. This undersized/heavy zone scheme just doesn't hold up in the big games against KC
  6. Get Trey Hendrickson Instead of signing under performing guys like Samuel, epenesa, D jones that cost 7-10 mil each... Give that money to a stud pass rusher in Hendrickson and figure out the rest. Edit: I thought he was a UFA but still has one more year- Would definitely explore a trade if the price was right though . (Although I doubt Cinci would give him up)
  7. I think where we disagree is you're looking at it at a micro/situational view, and I'm looking it as a macro view. All good, we’ll agree to disagree. Appreciate the respectful discussion👍
  8. Unconditional love is the answer. As painful as it can be
  9. Can you repeat that one more time as I didn't catch it😅
  10. Fair enough- It sounds like you have low expectations for our defence (which is fair), and you wanted our offence to overcome that. Dont even disagree with that- But at some point if the bills are gonna get to a Super Bowl, gonna have to hold KC to under 30 IMO
  11. Good rookie season, huge disappointment this year. I thought he was supposed to be known for his hands..
  12. You do know that KC had their best offensive game of the season this game, right?
  13. Well I would say one of the turnover on downs was because they had to go for it at the end cause the D didn't do their job letting up 32 But that's fair, we can agree to disagree. Respectfully though , I think you're over rating this chiefs offence a lot. Houston absolutely dominated them last week and they showed this season they are just an above average offence. And it's extremely tough to get 30 plus points on Spags. (I think the only Time they let up 30 this year was against the bills)
  14. Yep. Got a feeling the bills will go DE/DT in the draft. Its same story- Pass rush not good enough, defensive backs can't cover, and out coached by Andy
  15. Ok let's end on this- And then we can agree to disagree if need be. If someone told you before the game and you didn't know the outcome from the chiefs offence: The bills got 29 points, 374 yards, and won the time of possession. Would you have taken that, yes or no?
  16. Exactly- Chiefs defence in 4 games last post season games didn't let up 30 points. (And haven't let up 30 in 2 games this year( I believe this is the most points they have given up since the Super Bowl against Philly. 29 should be enough to win
  17. Agreed. I'm just looking big picture- 29 points should be enough to win. Did the offence have a chance and could they have done better at the end? Ya for sure. But I'm looking at the game from a macro view - Almost 400 yards of offence and 29 points on the road against a top 5 D is pretty damn good
  18. 100 percent. If you are gonna win a Super Bowl, it's almost impossible to score 30 plus points every game lol. Especially against elite defences. KC won a game 17-10 in the afc championship game last year against Lamar Jackson to get to the Super Bowl. Its just unrealistic to ask for 32-35 points every game from your O
  19. The defence does suck, agreed . Which cost them the game . (Which was my point) Can't keep depending on the offence to score 30 plus points to win 4 playoff games in a row against elite defences. Just not going to happen
  20. KC had their best output today all season on offence. I would expect the bills defence to hold them under 30, as KC was under 30 all season with the exception of one game where they were right at 30. This is not the Tyreek Hill/prime Travis Kelce Chiefs offence where you should need 35 points to win
  21. Yep- like I posted before, the problem is they play and design their defence to play bend but don't break all season. Then they ask their zone corners to play man to man in the playoffs and be more aggressive. It's such a backwards philosophy
  22. Yep, sadly you're correct . He wouldn't
  23. Not time to move on from McDermott. But time to move on from his defensive scheme. He needs to hire a DC from the outside and change this scheme that gets crushed every year in the playoffs by KC
  24. Interesting take- If someone told me bills got 29 points before this game, I would have signed up for that in a heart beat. KC literally got like 210 yards last week This game as a whole, is 80 percent on the defence IMO
  25. Yep. Elam sucks. But they tried to mold him into a zone corner. And you can tell he plays like a guy who is terrified of making a mistake as he plays 10 yards off the receiver and holds when he's slightly beat
