Beckham had, as far as I can remember, the best rookie season I've seen from a WR. Since then, he has done very little in the way of development and thus his production just plateaued. He is a diva that doesn't want to work hard or fight through adversity, it seems. Everyone has been fawning over OBJ since his rookie year but I feel like we need to get over him. Sure, he might have been a better draft pick at 9 than trading up to 4 for Sammy. Sammy didn't become the player we drafted him to be, but he learned from his mistakes and refocused mentally. He isn't a superstar but he is now a useful player who rose to the occasion when his number was called. I'm just so over OBJ and I'm glad both he and Baker are struggling to get things going after all that hype they were getting.

We are gonna have to protect Zimmer every week after that performance he turned in. I'm impressed.

True. Definitely the fumbles and missed field goals made the game closer than it needed to be. Edmunds missing his tackle on that crowder TD can't happen against better teams, though I don't know if McD would have dialed up that pressure against a better QB. Still, at no point did I feel that they would let the game get away from them. And you know coach is drilling them on those errors.

Even if one of these guys becomes Jerry Rice it won't necessarily matter so long as Diggs is productive right away and our stacked roster makes a run or two or three at a championship. When your roster is as loaded as ours, you're not exactly drafting for a couple years down the road. And how many of these highly touted first rounders have become elite even after a few years? You're just as likely to land an elite WR later in the draft, especially in a year that was so deep at the position. We took a swing on Gabe Davis and so far he looks solid. We have our win-now stud and our developmental player too.

You take the proven player when you're in our position. We were ready to go on a run; best not take a chance on a rookie at a position that typically comes with a ~two year learning curve.

But Gallup didn't really shove Ramsey. He didn't use his arm to create separation; he already separated from Ramsey and and Ramsey sold the push off.

I do not like that OPI call especially on the game deciding play. Cowboys had their chances though.
