We can't sign him to a bigger deal if he hits and we can retain two capable players in Johnson and Wallace on the cheap instead. Wallace had some rough patches but I think he can still play. Rhodes doesn't feel like the missing piece for a super bowl run and I'd rather save the $.

Agree with all the points about not addressing WR, but also wanna say Xavier Rhodes was trash last year and to think we would sign him for $8mil instead of retaining Kevin Johnson seems off.

Phillips thinks his value is much higher than it should be. He has the flashy sack stat which helps his cause. I think if he tests free agency someone will pony up. Might not be as much as he want, but more than we will offer.

Great season for the Titans. Frankly Vrabel needs consideration for COY - found a great replacement for LaFleur, made the tough call to switch QBs and made a great playoff run - but Andy Reid gets a much deserved shot at his first title.

Exactly. It's just kind of perplexing that he went and traded for a different underperforming head case within a year. Benjamin must have been a different guy his first couple seasons in the league.

Trading Watkins for a 2 was a good trade, especially when you factor in the 6th for Gaines as part of the package. But you're right that the Benjamin trade was awful.

But you can't say Beane gave him up for nothing. And obviously Duke Williams is better lolol. Really though, I think John Brown is better, but Watkins would be valuable on our roster if the price is right. Could be a cheap market with the WR talent in the draft.

Watkins has done almost nothing since leaving the Bills. He is another one of the fast guys that the Chiefs employ with great success, but the Rams traded a second pick for him and then let him walk the next year. The Chiefs paid $16 million/year for him and he is averaging under 600 yards and 3 TDs a season. He had 673 yards this year and 198 of them were in one game. We don't miss Sammy.

There is no other Tyreek Hill. And he was drafted in the fifth round. You can draft fast guys anywhere, the Chiefs were fortunate they landed an all-world prospect. We've tried to bring in fast guys too.
