The league did say they were going to up the punishment for dirty hits, etc. This one I don't think was "targeting," and I truly don't think Davis meant to hit him square in the head, but he did blindside him and he looked to launch at him when it absolutely wasn't necessary. Hard to compare it to the Gronk hit, which was definitely a targeted cheap shot. The NFL must be regretting such a weak punishment for that, but I don't disagree with the two games here. Gotta start laying down the law and forcing coaches and players to work on safer tackling and blocking. Poor Davante Adams has had himself a rough year.

We need help for sure. I am hoping Cincy gives Marvin Lewis one last W week 17 against the Ravens or P-P-P-Petty and the Jets pull one out next week against the Chargers. They have been playing everyone tough and even played the Saints tough with the backup QB in. Wouldn't count out the Raiders in the spoiler role week 17 either. Plenty of avenues as long as we win at least one of the last two. Loving the feeling of being in it all the way to the last week either way.

I think Johnson is fine and Wright played well filling in for Gaines. I prefer not to have Wright start but he is a good backup. He makes some difficult tackles.

All good. It is just clear that they want players with plenty of college experience and maturity. And frankly it isn't looking that bad so far. White, Dawkins and Milano are all contributing and we shouldn't give up on Zay too soon.

Juju has come on but the staff does not like young players and he is young even for a rookie. Oh well. Corey Davis, Mike Williams and John Ross were all taken in the top 10 and have produced less, even with injuries considered. Zay will work through the issues he's had I think.

If the Titans win in Jacksonville they also win the tiebreaker so they need to win next week or both and LAC lose one more. This is why the Chiefs vs Chargers debate was so complicated from the beginning. The numbers said our odds were better if the Chiefs won but that math assumed the Titans would win today.
