Ok, i''m way late in the argument, but i will make these points. --nobody is to blame... yet... whether ben didn't see the car, or the lady didn't see ben, that's too be determined... --Ben's one lucky f--- to be alive right now. Maybe the bills will be better than the steelers this year... --as for the bike argument, i think that a bike rider knows the risks and makes an informed decision in taking those risks when he rides on a bike, helmet or not. Ben knew those risks, especially with not wearing a helmet. He wasn't doing anything illegal. stupid, yes, illegal, no. Even if the accident was not ben's fault, he definitely earns the Darwin Award for the day. Maybe he's the example to all the other NFL MACH 4 bike riding punks to slow down, put on a helmet, or drive around in your bling escalade. I agree... You can look at injuries in three ways now... Used to be 2... 1) what if?? 2) We can't use injuries as an excuse 3) The Buffalo Sabres are so full of great depth, coaching and heart that they would have wiped their collective asses with the carolina hurricanes and edmonton oilers. Then they would have pissed on the stanley cup, specifically the section denoting the 1998-1999 champions. I'm not confident in this, i'm not fairly confident either. its a straight up fact.

a random guy... he had "F.T.C." in marker on his back, for "!@#$ the canes"... that sign was taken by a police officer shortly after the game. It would take too long to rehash, but the guy i was with (red shirt, glasses, the "other" black guy at the arena, with mike grier being the guy), it was his first game ever. I think we'll eventually see the delay of game situation be changed from a penalty to a "you dumped the puck into the stands, so you cannot make a line change but the other team can" situation... Keep the goalie delay of game penalty though. I'm not crying over that penalty though. The refs made the right call and were consistant about it from october 5 through game 7 of the conference finals. can't ask for anything more.

RIP Paul... I did not know Paul personally, nor do i even remember any conversations we may have had through the years, however i can appreciate the pain he went through. My uncle lost his wife 5 years ago, and he's still tormented by it. My condolences to Paul, his family, his friends, and his TBD friends. I have never been to a TBD tailgate, but my first experience "meeting" people from the board came last weekend at the sabres game, where i met DCSabres (from sabresreport), and yesterday when i met promotherobot and navybillsfan. I have been posting here for 4 or 5 years, and over there for a year (even though "over there" is really just an extention of here). I fully understand that we're more a family than anything. As for mckee, the guy's a warrior... when i heard he wasn't going to play, i feared his leg might have to be amputated... after reading up about it today, if jay hadn't gone to the hospital, that might be the case now. Don't blame bruce either for not playing in that game, however i do blame him for not getting the shot... Also, this was the game where kordell stewart caught a TD pass BEHIND the backjudge, with both of his feet out of bounds, and the call stood. If i remember, this was a major case for the return of instant replay. I watch hockey, not basketball. There was nothing on yesterday. i tried that game 7. I lasted exactly one offensive series. When you have guys who look like brian smolinski after his game 1 score to make it 6-5, on every single shot/block/rebound/childbirth, i can't stomach it. They make lebron james out to be some hero with a big heart of a champion, yet they show him standing alone at center court with his arms raised and no smile... Show me Pominville rushing to the penalty box to greet jay mckee any day of the week over that crap. NBA, and unfortunately NFL showcases talent... NHL showcases heart. This is why you all know my obvious choice.
