I think they will use the first two preseason games to make that decision. It's really hard to tell how a guy plays from watching him practice. A couple of weeks ago I figured Fitzy was either going to start, or be gone. But now I think that he might stick around as a known-quantity #2. He's pretty smart and does a decent job of moving in the pocket and isn't afraid to go downfield. But I still think Brohm may have more of an upside. However, unless he sparkles a bit in preseason I think he may be gone. Does this sparkle with everyone?

Given some of the speed rushing moves I saw from him on the camp videos, I have no doubt he'd stick with the team. He's going to have problems staying on the field play-in and play-out, but he should be good for some really fantastic plays, from what I see.

Wait. If that was the situation from the day he left practice, there is no news here. (And my apologies to Chan for an 'illegal break of the balls'.) But it is positioned here as something that has recently happened (including the comment).

1st rule of a great BBQ sauce (or ANY sauce for that matter): NO MUSTARD! Damn I hate that crap. There are some OK BBQ places down here, but there downfall is usually the sauce. It seems they all use the vile mustard in their hotter sauces. Have they never heard of chili peppers? Oh...IMO, of course.

Byrd is strictly a FS. And while he is a terrific opportunist and ball-hawk he is a still a little ragged in coverage play in and play out. I think another season should help that though. There is no doubt the Bills would keep Donte for another year for less than $2 mill, if he didn't exercise his option to void. Actually I think a Pro Bowl type year makes it less likely he will stay in Buffalo, as it will drive his value on the open market even higher.

2011 is a voidable year @ $1.95, I believe. I don't know who gets to void the contract, but I assume it is either side. EDIT: And if it is Donte's last year in Buffalo it will be because he wants to test the FA market to see how much he can get.
