  1. I think Trent could get some mileage from a pump-fake to his usual 4-yard target and then airing it out to a deeper WR. It may only work a few times, but I think it would work pretty big.
  2. Reed is a FS. If Sanders plays his typical 6 games this season, he shouldn't be considered, either. (Yes, he's great. But you really should play on Sunday to make the Pro Bowl.) Troy plays most games most years. Last year was an anomaly. If Donte makes it, it is probably backing up Troy.
  3. Buftex, do you own/work at that store? If so, you should have told Iggy, "Sorry I can't let you in without a shirt."
  4. The HOF game is usually the absolute worst piece of sub-NFL garbage. It's worse than the 1st week of the preseason. And I am very excited to watch it tonight. I really need some football. With that said, I doubt I watch the entire game. (But I might.)
  5. Nope. Maybe soon. But for the most part, it's just TV. If I miss something it really isn't that big of a deal.
  6. And, she really can't pretend to be objective if she only mentions your shortcomings but has nothing to say about your strengths (assuming of course you have some).
  7. Recently someone posted that here. While I thought they were ugly, I went ahead and ordered a pair of 8 1/2, which is my size. Sometimes I even take an 8. Well I'm happy to report they look MUCH better than I thought. But they are WAY too small. I think they may be C width, and they just didn't bother to mention that. Now I have to decide what to do. 8 1/2 is the biggest size they have in those. They cost $20 plus shipping (about $7, I think). If you return them it costs another $7 shipping, to get a $20 credit. So, essentially I get charged $14 for nothing. Or I can keep them and see if I can give them to someone. I buy many things online, but I think this is the last time I buy shoes online.
  8. I've always preferred New Balance.
  9. Another great effort. I am so pumped for football I even plan to watch some of the HOF game tonight.
  10. I think Donte's major obstacle the past few years is, he has been asked to do too many different things. I like that he did whatever he was asked to do w/o complaint, but it hasn't helped his excelling at any one thing. He was the defense's "Swiss-Army Back" and was given very little freedom to just let loose. Now this is just a guess on my part but I think he's being a bit polite when he points to the T2 scheme, instead of the coaching the past few years.
  11. Gotta love the Buk. But I usually find myself laughing too hard to be depressed when reading the tales of Henry Chinaski.
  12. All of what you say still doesn't convince me this will be the Bills last year in Buffalo, which was the OP's topic. Many more things need to happen for the Bills to leave after this year than for them to stay. That was, and remains, my point.
  13. That seriously blows.
  14. Ah, excellent. Thanks for the explanation. It makes sense. Knowing that it MIGHT even warrant its own thread.
  15. You can't be six hours from a bar that has the NFL ticket and shows all the games, can you? I mean, it might not be a "Bills bar" but are you really that far from any real sports bar?
  16. I wasn't trying to stir things up. I wanted to know why he called it the most non-biased (or "non-bias"). I didn't know if he meant the most non-biased on the board, he could come up with, etc. It's kind of an odd claim and I just want to know what he meant. And I also thought someone should mention there are other threads where the very same thing is currently being discussed.
  17. Is there anything worse than a liar? Absolutely NOTHING about the post being bad. You blew your criticism and now you feel foolish. Deal with it. I have no problem with roster predictions. But we don't need a new thread for every prediction. That's all I'm saying. I didn't jump down his throat or make a big fuss about it, I just mentioned it in case he didn't quite "get it".
  18. There will be other options, there always are. The Homer guys will probably be back in some form, and probably closed down again. Some will upload to Justin.tv, but that has become a place with too much bait and switch for me. Over the years, one of the more reliable sites have been: www.myp2p.eu And of course, it is down today, for some reason. But this has been there week in and week out for several years. You may need to install several different client-side players to be ready on any given week. www.Channelsurfing.net This is the easiest site to use, probably. And more often than not, the game is there. As with any of these online services you won't know for sure until just before, and sometimes after, the game has started.
  19. Honesty has nothing to do with Sully's articles. He might get hit with a drop of water from a neighbor's sprinkler and write about it as if it were a thunderstorm. He is a practitioner of conflict journalism. He'll find conflict or negativity even if there isn't any. And, it's fairly clear from his articles, the guy doesn't get or even like football, IMO.
  20. Sappy?
  21. Who suggested his post was neither unique or necessary? I sure didn't. I think it is a fine post. I asked why he started another thread when there are several already discussing this very topic.
  22. I'd love for Hardy to step in up and succeed. I'll be rooting for him. If he shows nothing in preseason, I assume he's done in Buffalo. But it has no relationship to Schobel. The two situations couldn't be more dissimilar.
  23. I buy lemonade from kids whenever I see them selling it. I sure as hell don't drink it.
  24. Yes, the two situations are very similar.
