  1. I thought the Garfield avatar was amusing and completely harmless. In fact, if some kid asked his mom or dad what it was, it provided a valuable teaching opportunity, IMO. To me it was, in no way, offensive. That it was banned is beyond comprehension, to me. With that said, you have complained in at least three threads in three different forums. SDS has seen your complaint. He has responded. That's why I say, "Get over it." Time to move on.
  2. Spiller isn't going to be the #2 WR or a WR at all, in the traditional sense. You can take that to the bank. He will see some time as a traditional RB, though. Will CJ get some passes thrown his way? He damn well better. But, he'll be far more useful as a weapon as an RB, IMO. Right now, Parrish is the 2nd best WR on the team, but he won't he called #2 as he plays from the slot most often.
  3. $29 a month for porn? Seriously? That's crazy.
  4. If he wins, an extra nut?
  5. Not sure why you take such offense. The question was simply asked, and now you answered it. I think it's great that you post the links, and as you say some have plugins and/or toolbars and others don't. You're clean in all this. But it isn't uncommon for people, these days, to make a buck by getting others to install toolbars on a pay per install basis. I think SDS was merely being cautious and wondering if that's what was going on. I'm glad it isn't. The discussion on toolbars, whether the V-Share toolbar was needed, ways to disable or remove it, etc wasn't directed at you at all, IMO.
  6. What? The Giants/Jets stadium is in NEW JERSEY.
  7. I'd call it "interesting" but not awesome. The rendering was screwed up a bit, even on my high speed cable connection, and the local stuff felt shoved in. It didn't really belong. Of course the song was simply freaking HORRIBLE. But that's Arcade Fire.
  8. Cunning linguist or not, a nerd is a nerd.
  9. Maybe I wasn't completely clear in what I posted. Since you are involved in web development I'm sure you are aware of marketing agreements that pay per install. Some companies use the toolbar (Ask is notorious for this) as a pay per install marketing incentive, to those who distribute their wares. This gives them a broader "user base", and helps them market to developers.
  10. Ya know, I'm right at the front of the line when it comes to calling into question the results of "research" trumpeted on TV, in newspapers, on the Internet, etc. I usually say, "Show me the methodology, the research instruments and the data. I'll tell you the take-away from the study." But for some reason, when the results suggest booze and/or drugs are good for you, I'm a true believer! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjVfc8-Y7sQ
  11. Some of these tools are addons only in Firefox, but actually install as a program (listed in add/remove programs) if you use IE.
  12. You know who kept Barry on the bench at OK State, right? I thought Sayers when I saw him play for Clemson. But more importantly, why must every highlights video torture my ears with the worst possible music? Can you imagine if the Internet was big in the 70's and early 80's being subjected to disco and hair metal bands? STOP THE INSANITY! The best possible audio for highlight vids is the call of the play-by-play announcer.
  13. Did you forget to reorder your list?
  14. A few years back, that may have been true.
  15. I would be fine with a retractable dome, with the provision that it is NEVER closed for a Bills game. In the extremely unlikely event there is a Super Bowl played in WNY, then the dome can be closed. Green Bay doesn't have a stinking dome. 'nuff said
  16. It's a ways off, IMO. New owners may demand it. If so, then so be it. But the Ralph is fine for the moment. Still a great place to watch the game. And this gets discussed about 20 times a year, but typically in the winter. One would think there are more interesting and immediate topics to discuss at the moment. But, hey, that's me.

  18. The team has a right to match (or exceed) any offer, but the player is a FA and can take whichever offer he wants. It isn't like being an RFA where the team keeps the player by matching the offer. At least that's what I think the situation is.
  19. Come to think of it, I did the same thing. Yet the toolbar installed, anyway (not that unusual for foistware).
  20. I'm with you. Redzone can be fun and is even a bit addictive, but it isn't really watching football, IMO. And its not enough for a Bills game. A replay is nice if you have no other option, but watching live is the only way to go, IMO. And, if I have to, I'll watch on a 13" standard def TV. Hell, I'll watch in B&W if that's all that is available.
  21. Great song. But tell me if you will, why did you route us through Facebook to watch a youtube vid?
