  1. And just like that, any chance the Bills had is now gone.
  2. Yes, that's what we are known for, after all.
  3. Actually I don't think L.A. is targeting the Bills. At least I don't think we are a prime target. The great support of Buffalo fans has to be one of the reasons.
  4. Feel better now? First of all, Stallworth is the Raven's Ed Block winner. Every team has one and they are selected by the team's players. It has nothing to do with on-field performance. James Hardy was the 2009 Buffalo Bills recipient. Stallworth has handled this situation as well as anyone could ask for. Painting him as some random drunk who mowed down an innocent pedestrian is to ignore the facts of the case (at least from what I have read on this case). And contrary to your assessment I think most of us would have fared better with the legal system than Donte. Without a major public image issue, a good attorney would have likely had you plead Not Guilty. I think the chances are good the charges would have been reduced or thrown out entirely. If it had gone to trial, an acquittal is always a possibility. In Donte's case, he pleaded Guilty, completely cooperated with the prosecution and was immediately remorseful and respectful of the victim's family. That also worked to help reduce his sentence (the way it works for most cooperative defendants). Maybe all the NFL teams should send you the list of their proposed Ed Block awardee and you can let them know if it meets your satisfaction...maybe make a few changes. But, irrespective of your disdain for a some of the teams' choices for this award, you have no reason to bash the man for whom the award was named.
  5. Stunningly ignorant.
  6. He was drafted while Levy was GM. For that reason alone he CAN'T be good. At least according to some posters.
  7. I have no particular attraction to feet unless they are very pretty and attached to a beautiful woman. Still, I am not turned on simply by a display of feet. With that said, I like to give long full body massages to girlfriends, and massaging a nice pair of feet is certainly better than touching a nasty pair of hooves.
  8. I know my feet like the back of my hand. WTF is that on the back of my hand?
  9. Agreed. Another reason I think they like Brohm, at least a little bit, is they kept him on the opening day roster. Trent was #1 and Fitz had already proven to be a serviceable #2. They could have kept the younger Levi Brown, who they drafted and kept him on the practice squad and off the opening day roster. Or they could have picked up someone else off of waivers/practice squads/etc. By keeping Brohm, it suggests they liked him, at least a little bit. I have neither seen nor heard anything that would make me think they have changed their opinion of him.
  10. I also have a steel-trap mind. Whatever goes in comes out mangled.
  11. Merry Christmas, aussiew. Have a great time in Florida and say hi to BadDad for me.
  12. Yes. I don't necessarily agree with your thought process, but I understand it.
  13. It won't even start well.
  14. A fine choice. Best of luck.
  15. All the best to you, and your avatar, Pils.
  16. But can't the sister who is driving blame the sister who was drinking? Again, the biggest issue here is, this guy has to be pretty twisted.
  17. Still, you said you initially thought the Bills had interest in Brohm. (At least that's what I thought you meant.) If you once thought that, what happened to make you change your mind?
  18. When I was in Niagara Falls, Salvatore's was always kind of a joke. The gaudy statues probably contributed to that. It was also a place where big over-done wedding receptions were held. But I finally went to dinner there one night, and it wasn't too bad. Much better than I expected it to be. Later on I met Salvatore a couple of times and he was a gracious and impressive man. He also had a great deal at his Garden Place Hotel. A room, dinner and Bills tickets (including transportation) for a very reasonable price. From what little I know, it seems like he got screwed by his son (sons?) and I felt bad for the old guy. Then he opens his steak house, and by all accounts, it is fantastic. I know of several people who swear by the place. He has been generous to the people of Buffalo and Bills fans for years. So, I apologize to Mr. Salvatore for my early impressions (which came from no base of knowledge). He's a real class act.
  19. OK, I can't argue with any of this, but what made you change your mind about how the Bills feel regarding Brohm? I can't see anything that has happened to change my mind about that. Have the Bills said or done anything to show they don't like BB?
  20. "They didn't prove anything! They got lucky by knocking Brady out of the game in the 2nd quarter. This was a fluke." "Their field goal kicker missed two 49 yard attempts. The Bills had that game lost." The Bills didn't win this game. The Pats* gave it to them. They looked like the Broncos out there today. No way the Bills win if the Pats* play even an average game." Just getting you ready to read the posts of those who will NEVER agree with your assessment.
  21. You could be right. But I can't see any evidence the Bills aren't impressed with Brohm. The dumping of Trent showed they like him at least a little, IMO. He might have had a chance to show us something if Fitz hadn't stepped up. While I'd like to know what Brohm can do, I'm happier knowing we have at least one QB that can get the job done.
  22. Well, you asked two different questions here. Do I think the Bills will beat the stinking Pats*? Nope. And I don't even have a gut feeling they will. But CAN they? Sure. It could happen. It will surprise me (happily I might add) if they do. But they played them tough the first game when the Bills were a far different team. Of course, the stinking Pats* are playing better lately, too. I tell you what. I'm not going to be watching the game looking for the Bills to stay close. Like you I want them to win, and expect them to play as if they have nothing to lose. They don't. A win here will do wonders for this team (and the fan base) next year, IMO
  23. I think there is less of a chance Fitz isn't the starter to start next year. The Bills will bring in other QBs whether or not they draft one. I would say there is a decent change the same two guys are #1 and #2 on the roster. I have no objections to the Bills getting a QB early in the draft, but that is far from certain.
