Trade? No, Free Agent pick, on the other hand----No.
-
Well they also realize they need a competent backup if EJ goes down, no?

Well I agree someone is insane and just doesn't "get it".
-
I don't get that. He's mostly a regurgitator of press releases and rumors. The more drama there is in this the better for Florio I guess. But if the Bills moved he would likely post his diatribes against the NFL for allowing it. Florio is at his best when it comes to the legal stuff, IMO. But when he does stick his toe into actual football analysis, he seems like he is in over his head. Fake controversy is his strong suit in that regard. No worries.

He is just citing the Post article from yesterday.
-
Precisely that. Well done.
-
Well some of us don't. Apparently some here already know the future of EJ. Wouldn't it be great to have that amazing gift.
-
Gotcha. Good to know.

] I believe just bringing the case to court might trigger the $400 penalty. But I could be wrong.

Baring any intelligent reason to believe otherwise, I read "I'm not a fan of stats" and think you mean "I don't really understand how stats translate to success or failure." Prove me wrong.

Tight Ends Starting to Become Available
The Dean replied to The Dean's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Indeed. Who else might become available? -
Well since no team ever "declares" a player a failure I guess that's a good bet. I have yet to see a rational, pros and cons, post from you discussing objectively EJs strengths and weaknesses. The "EJ sucks" posts are stupid and nonconstructive, but that's the level of posting on most internet forums I guess. Every player has strengths and weaknesses. Just about every 1st round QB gets time to figure things out and mature in the NFL. But you have already figured it out. Well you must be something special, my friend. In 10 games as a rookie, you have seen all you need to see. Whey aren't you working in the NFL? Any team would be lucky to have you. You see predicting failure for a young QB is usually a safe bet, particularly when he plays behind an OL that doesn't give him time to throw. So don't expect me to have respect for your opinion unless you do a far better job of communicating on what basis you form your opinion. For example Kirby Jackson is not an EJ fan. But he communicates the reasons very well. We may disagree on the chances of EJ making it, but I have no issue with his analysis as he sees it. I'm slightly more optimistic, but still have many questions because I have seen him succeed. I like his strengths and think he is improving (though slowly during the preseason) in the areas where he has weaknesses. As I have posted this stuff a number of times in various threads I will leave it to you to find what I, and other reasonable posters, think are those strengths and weaknesses. So, in lieu of this useless "I'll send you a PM when he fails..." BS, why not try posing an articulate analysis of the situation. Discuss EJs last season. Where did he impress? What were his biggest issues? Did he regress in any particular way? What that after the injury or before? Were the bulk of the Bills QB sacks the fault of the OL, the QB or some combination? If the OL can give EJ enough time, can you see him improving on his perceived weaknesses? etc. You see, I don't think you are capable of this. I don't believe you have gone over last year and thought in detail about those things. I'm not sure you are capable, as I have never read anything posted by you that I would mistake for "analysis" I think you are just another "EJ sucks" poster, which makes you basically useless as a source of any information. One could probably train a monkey to post that. But prove me wrong. There's my challenge.

Had the neighbor been coming over and begging bourbon or something, that would have been a good guess.
-
Not that they have a chance, but... They have no stadium in which to play. They likely wouldn't be incurring the $400 million (and very unlikely to win the right to move them in court). They would play in Buffalo for a time, under the rouse they intend to keep the team here. Then move them some time down the road, during the buy out, or end of the lease. But don't worry, that's not going to happen.

Kyle Orton rumor [update : now signed]
The Dean replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's hard to argue with a guy who KNOWS these things. -
I thought it might be a good idea for awhile. But if you think it's a good idea, it probably isn't.
-
Interesting. Withdrawal certainly is a possibility, but I also believe the guy might suffer from some mental issues (other than addiction).

I believe Tim said, or meant, the Will had no conditions. I don't believe TG has any idea about the terms of The Trust let alone the what Ralph may have said to his wife and friends. Perhaps I'm wrong and the Trust documents were leaked (doubtful). But if that is true, no written restrictions might protect the family in the case no legitimate local suitor steps up. Well, we know that isn't the case.

Wow, I feel for you, but you did the right thing. I don't believe not taking a shower, in your shower, could have harmed the man. Had he come into your place he could have collapsed there. The Bandit is right. Get together and attempt to force the landlord to get things straightened up. Just so you know, he may already be trying to do that. A friend of mine had squatter drug addicts in her rental house. She went to the sheriff's office on many occasions and the cops were there all the time. The squatters managed to stay there for quite a while before being evicted, finally. So I suppose it might not be the landlord's doing. But putting pressure on him can't hurt.

That's the bottom line here. If the OL is solid, the running game should flourish and EJ is usually fine when he has time to throw. Not great yet, mind you, but fine. If the line is solid, we'll actually get to see if EJ develops as hoped. But make no mistake about it, the Bills running game should be the driver for their early success. If that falls apart, Orton is probably doomed as well. Of course, if the OL plays well and the running game is good, it is still good to have Orton in case of injury.

See this is one of the criticisms I simply can't understand. Even some of his harshest critics---or should I say harshest reasonable critics--agree EJ never looks panicked. He appears to be very confident and in control when he hits the huddle. I'm sorry, I think you got it wrong on this one.
