  1. Completely agree. Exactly what I do. And on the other side, if visiting fans come around and seem cool, I'm all for letting them hang out and banter. If they're clearly ass#oles and looking for a fight, let them find it elsewhere.
  2. What a steaming pile of crap. So many starts, so little humor. I know it's the first episode, but it was so bad, I don't know I can give it another go. It's being compared to Archer? Puhleeze!
  3. I think these two posts hit the nail on the head. I've been to many away games and have NEVER had a problem with opposing fans. This includes several games against the Raiders in Oakland and LA. In fact I think I had as much fun with the the Raiders fans in LA as I have anywhere. Pittsburgh fans were cool, too. (Jet's fans, on the other hand, suck---home and especially away.) But I don't cover myself in Bills gear. I don't talk smack to those tailgating in the lot--in fact, I try to drink with them. I don't scream stuff at them or try to rile them up. I understand I'm going to take a bit of s#it, and do it in good humor. During the game, if given an opportunity (after taking the temperature of the room, so to speak) I might give some good-natured s#it back--but always being careful to keep it light. My advice to any fan, going to a home or away game is: Use some freaking sense. Put your macho ass#ole attitude in a bag for the day (and step on it, so it never comes out again).
  4. Due to their many infractions against the rules, many think the Pats* deserve to have an asterisk attached to all their "accomplishments" the past 15 years, or so.
  5. That's what I'm talking about. And as has been pointed out, both teams leave through the same tunnel, so the "Cheaters exit here" sign is out for The Ralph. And "Brady stole my sign" is great, until you think about it. As also has been pointed out, "Brady stole my OTHER sign" actually works.
  6. Been on the shelf quite a long time. Scheduled for release 10/30/2015, DVD and Blu-Ray: http://www.eagle-rock.com/2015/09/frank-zappa-roxy-the-movie/#.VfmHmdJVikq
  7. Braveheart received mostly favorable reviews. http://www.metacritic.com/movie/braveheart/critic-reviews
  8. What's your excuse, then? Great name in prison, I think.
  9. I realize my last response wasn't very clear. Let's try this: Phrasing.
  10. If a man was walking down the street with two fish hanging out of his mouth, how many pancakes can cover a dog house?* *Hint: There are no bones in ice cream.
  11. MAYBE the decision to get rid of him was OK. The deal was not.
  12. It's getting mixed reviews--at least from those already out there. Some pretty good and most just OK. Only one reviewer really tanks it, at least on metacritic: http://www.metacritic.com/tv/the-bastard-executioner/critic-reviews
  13. Forgive me if I'm just repeating what others have said. I just skimmed the previous posts. This is a bit of a surprise to me, given the number of backs left on the roster. Plus Bryce is a pretty explosive back---far from just run of the mill, IMO. It's true he has a ball security issue, but we've (at least I've) seen players turn that around, with the right coaching. I kinda thought they were stashing him on the inactive list, to have a quality healthy back in case of injury. Perhaps Bryce wasn't thrilled with the arrangement and was becoming a problem. It also seems odd for a team that purports to be a running team, to have so few backs. But one thing about RBs is, in a pinch, there are guys who can step in and (hopefully) get reasonable results. Typically it isn't the train wreck you get if you have to do it with some other positions. If nothing else, the claims Whaley cut Fred BECAUSE of his ego, since he traded for Brown, is finally exposed as total foil-hat wearing BS. But they guy is clearly a gambler.
  14. I agree with most of this, except for your definition of "workhorse". i understand where you are going with this, but a guy who gets all the touches he does, is a workhorse, IMO. Dealing out punishment in the process is obviously an added plus.
  15. Freddie keeping it classy, as usual.
  16. The Steelers moved the ball on them almost at will. Had Pittsburgh played ANY defense (c'mon how can you leave Gronk and Edelman completely uncovered?) and didn't shoot themselves in the foot several times, they would have easily won that game. (Is Scobee unemployed yet?)
  17. Nope. But Sproles had 50 rushing yards on only 5 carries.
  18. As a play-by-play guy Berman is pretty good. Less of the tiresome stuff (I liked at one time, until he became a caricature of himself). Not too many mistakes, either.
  19. The illegal contact call was a weak call, at best.
  20. His comments actually make sense and ring true. Very rare in his profession. Maybe Tasker should start watching some tape of Dilfer.
  21. Anyone else noticing how good Trent Dilfer is as a color commentator? And I rarely say this about NFL announcers.
  22. Well, for one, the guy was (and hopefully is) a workhorse. If he can stay healthy, handle a heavy workload and get the yardage (and average over 4 YPC) again, I'll be OK with the trade. But the guy played in a VERY RB friendly offense with a really good offensive line. I didn't think he looked like an elite back, for most of last year. And how typical of TSW to make a Levitre thread into a McCoy thread. We are classic!
  23. Tyrod should expect the unexpected. And of course, some cheating, since it is the Cheatriots.
  24. I'm with you on this one. Not that I think Shady is bad. But I don't believe he is elite at this stage. And I hope and pray (if I actually prayed) I'm wrong.
