  1. Bryce Brown is a great runner. There was never any doubt about how good of a runner he is. His ball security was the issue. That and he doesn't provide any help on special teams.
  2. But that was due to his work ethic and off the field issues (I think). He was widely considered an early round talent by most accounts. Most thought the Bills got a real steal, if they could get him straightened out. Just the fact that he is starting in the NFL (and at times going a reasonable job) says he was a great 7th round investment.
  3. I'm guessing because when he has played, he's looked pretty bad. But it's hard to know for sure, when it's just a play or two, here and there. And let's keep in mind, EJ has looked good, at times, in the regular season, too. (Not trying to stir anything up here. Just trying to keep the record straight.)
  4. While I agree quick timing patterns are difficult to defend, they are not "impossible". There are safeties, LBs, etc, who can poach the pass, you know. It helps the D if the CBs aren't playing off 10 yards--especially on short down conversions. I've seen just about enough of that.
  5. I tend to agree, Doc. But IMO it isn't a good sign for a team when we start to question " who is behind move X?". Of course, the HC has a lot of input, but if the GM isn't in charge, then this team is going to be in deep s#it. Again, IMO. I'm feeling the "Rex effect" and it isn't a pleasant feeling. Again, I hope I'm wrong about this. Well, he is very young for one thing. Also a 7th round pick who was started early in his rookie year. Add to that a less-than-100% rookie starting next to him, and I predict some trouble. This isn't an excuse for Seantrel. He needs to step up. And perhaps sitting him for awhile will help HIM play better. But will his replacement (likely Kujo) be an improvement for the team? Tough call.
  6. So, you're saying this is a typical TSW thread?
  7. Donald, but not The Donald (thankfully). I'll be in NYC to see Donald and Walter (Steely Dan) at the Beacon.
  8. Can't disagree with that. Easier said than done, sometimes, though,
  9. In the red zone, the D was very good. But they did give up way too many yards between the 20s,
  10. From what I saw (and I try like hell not to be biased when analyzing---but you know...) the horse collar on Taylor was an actually horse collar. The back of the jersey was grabbed at the top/inside--and as you point out, Brown jumped on his legs. But the picked up flag on the Bills was just a jersey tackle. I've seen that whistled as a horse collar in the past, but I could never figure out why. The flag was thrown on the Bills tackle, wasn't it? I believe they waved it off. Why do you need a make-up? If they actually thought it was a penalty, they could have just let the penalty stand. Did I miss something on this play? One criticism I have of Tyrod is, for such an athletic guy, with unbelievable running ability, he does not seem comfortable moving in the pocket/scrambling when he has no intention of running. Maybe it's just the situations he has been in, but I expect him to be a bit better at that.
  11. The Graham call was as ticky-tak of a call as I have seen in awhile.
  12. Bingo. AFAIK this has never been an issue with Easley. I thought the new kicker thing, too when I first saw it. I also thought another Bill (a bit further down the ling) might have been offsides, too.
  13. This will be an extremely tough game. I'll be watching in NYC, but I can't take McFadden's. Maybe watching at one of the bars on the same block. But since I'm staying on the Upper West Side, I think I'll try to go to somewhere closer by. Any suggestions?
  14. One was actually caught at the 10, without a fair catch, and without much running room. Inexcusable, IMO.
  15. I came away with one overwhelming thought. Let Tyrod be Tyrod, or don't play him. He will NOT succeed trying to be Peyton Manning. I think this is a coaching flaw, but perhaps I'm wrong. The tackling on this defense has to improve.
  16. The lot was full of Bills fans, while at the same time half full of Giants fans? Are you suggesting Bills fans should be embarrassed because they are bad at math?
  17. Oh, there were plenty of player mistakes today, too. On a day like this there is plenty of blame to go around. Everyone gets a slice! But I believe the final blame belongs to the coaching staff, today.
  18. Bills' coaching has been terrible in the two losses so far this year. A truly horrid game.
  19. And some make it, right? So what does he have to lose by trying to be a HC, if failure gets him right back to being an OC?
  20. There it is. Dixon is a ST stud.
  21. He'll never get close to that price. Funny thing is, he admits as much in the article.
  22. I'm sure Roman can take a HC job and still "honor his contract", as I'm fairly certain his contract has an out for a HC job. And while it isn't obvious to many, Marrone also "honored his contract" as his contract allowed him to opt out.
