Know of any Bills fans that don't like wings?
The Dean replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Tabasco is my "ketchup". I pour it over french fries. Funny, I consider Texas Pete's sort of a watered down Franks. And I also rarely use Frank's for anything other than wing sauce. -

For a short period of time, Texas Pete's was a scourge around here. Actually, the real scourge was the Texas Pete salesperson. They must have made some crazy deal with a bunch of places, to be their only hot sauce. I'd go to a place, ask for Tabasco only to be told, "We only have Texas Pete's." WTF? Happened too many times for it to be an innocent coincidence, IMO. To me, Pete's is just too tame and flavorless to be used as a Tabasco replacement. Fortunately, that practice seems to have stopped. Hardly see Texas Pete around here, anymore. I have similar (but more strongly negative) feelings about Sriracha. For a while, a couple taco shops had that as their only bottled hot sauce. Really? No Mexican or TexMex style sauces? Nothing actually hot? That's why there are always several kinds of hot sauces in the trunk of my car. -

I'm not a cig smokers. But many have told me the Smokin Joe's were as good as, or better than, American Spirits. Supposedly the Joe's cigs were 100% tobacco, and all that. I used to pick up cartons when I went back to WNY for friends, and everyone was very excited to get them. Maybe just because they were cheap.

Don't forget Indian Res cigs. There definately is a black market, but I think it's relatively minor as a percentage of total cigarette sales. I'd expect something like that with pot, too.

I haven't heard that one in years. Thanks for the sign-off chuckle. Gnigh

You are correct. However, unless I am in a place I know, and trust, I ALWAYS (and I rarely use that word) ask for them to be "crispy"...if they look confused I say "well done...the cook should know what it means". Even then, I occasionally get wings that are flabby. I do the same thing when I order pizza, at somewhere other than I know and trust "well done/crispy bottom" whatever it takes to give them the best opportunity to make me something I will like. -
First of all, outstanding idea. He'd be great with Kraft. I'm all for it. Now, on to the bolded portion of your fine post. I believe there are many things we can think of, that Rex is better at than coaching the Bills--and the Jets. I mean, he probably does 20-25 things, in the course of a day, that would fit the "better at/than" bill. IMO, he came to the Bills as the worst HC in the NFL. I was pretty surprised to find a fairly large contingent of fans LOVED the hire, at first. In retrospect I can almost understand why he might have had some appeal. The team had little success with "intellectual" coaches and old school disciplinarians. for many years. I can see how a big personality, who is well known, seems like he's shooting from the hip, uncensored---wait, that's starting to sound familiar. You get the drift. But I must say, I was very happy to see so many of them abandon ship, when he showed the depths of his suckatude---coupled with his doubling down on stupidity, and hiring his disaster of a twin brother. Seriously, you can't make this stuff up. Well you can, but who would believe it?

IF it happens, it will be interesting. But the chances of that happening are extremely slim, IMO. Typically these things get rolling at the state level, become the overwhelming consensus of the country, as a whole, and the Federal law changes before all 50 states. At least that's my recollection. And I said "typically", not always. Honestly I have no issue with that. If that's what it takes to get the ridiculous prohibition repealed, then so be it. Even at the "sticker shock" prices, it's quite reasonable to get quality/safe product, without having to deal with a drug dealer and engaging in criminal activity. The mention of a huge black market, even after it's legal, makes me chuckle a bit. Is there a huge black market for alcohol or tobacco, now? I know there is some black market for these things-- I'm Sicilian (hell, there's a black market for just about everything), but I can't see how this doesn't put a huge hit into the current illegal drug market.

Some of the blue cheese down here tastes about the same as Ranch. Basically mayo in a bowl. Yeech. -

Never been to the Bufftown? Well then, you really have never had wings, then. Though, IMO, beef on weck is the top "local" food. -
Well, duh, Kirby. I just don't think that's a likely outcome. But yes, that's my preferred option, as well. How did I screw that up? My bad. Thanks for the save.

[Misleading Title]Watkins won’t resign in LA
The Dean replied to Kingston Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Upon returning after my little hiatus, I noticed an unusual number of people using "resign", when they mean re-sign. So many, in fact, I sort of became convinced that it became a TSW "thing", like "common man" for c'mon man (which I still don't like). Did that indeed happen, or are more and more posters that ignorant? (Well, both of those could be true.) -
Welcome. I HOPE it's going to be a good one, as I think that's the best chance the Bills have. If it's a blowout, I'm afraid your boys will take the prize. I'm not know as a negative poster, but I try to be realistic---and the Bills don't match up well against the Saints, IMO. Hopefully (for us) home field advantage, and opportunistic football (turnovers) give us a shot. IMO, this is a big test for this team, and the new regime. See if they can bounce back from a horrible effort against Miami.

A bartending buddy of mine, took me to a bar/restaurant in Canada that customer's of his recently opened. Behind my back, he warned them I like my wings REALLY hot, and challenged them to hurt me. So when I got my wings, they really bore very little resemblance to traditional Buffalo wings. They had a rub and sauce. Their ONLY redeeming quality was extreme heat---but the flavor sucked. Anyway, it wasn't too many wings, and I finished them, with little complaint or discomfort. Several months later we returned and, much to my surprise, there was a plaque on the wall with my name, and how I had eaten the hottest food they had ever seen/made/served (can't remember the wording). When I go to Thai or Indian restaurants, I stress I want them to go all out with the heat. I let them know, under no condition will I complain if I find it too hot. Most places just make their usual hot, as they are stupid/pussies/worried about lawsuits/whatever. Now some have stepped up and brought me to tears/sweating/hallucinating---but that's what I signed up for. -

Very different things, IMO. A good dry rub wing, is a very nice thing. A couple brought some to the bar, on Saturday. Very crispy, and reasonably flavorful. I only had two, even though I was offered many more. But for full on beer-drinking/football watching, it's hard to beat a properly made very hot Buffalo-style wing, IMO. Get those endorphins going..
