  1. Agreed. There but for the grace of God....
  2. Still, the guy has a huge upside, and a decent bottom (phrasing). The Bills have draft picks to burn, and he fills a position of great need. The only reason to be down on this trade, is just to be contrary, IMO. There is a very low risk here.
  3. On NFL Network, one mook said, Benjamin is great at catching jump balls, which Tyrod Taylor is great at throwing. Really? Honestly, like many here, I think when Tyrod has WRs he trusts (and learns to do it) he will eventually trust them to get the ball. But that is NOT what he has been great at, IMO.
  4. I'm not talking about "the process", as you should always question it, and just about everything. I'm talking about knowledge of Kelvin Benjamin, which I am virtually certain they know FAR more about him than both of us put together. And if any of those "certified" IQ tests, were football-related, then they could be relevant here. Otherwise, who really cares? And who really goes out of their way to get their IQ tested? It's as worthless as most anything I can think of. And, just so you know, I had my IQ tested in the 4th grade, unbeknownst to me. It was far higher than even I believe. But so what? Why would I bother/care to have it tested again?
  5. Me neither, but the guy is a walking mess of inappropriateness. That's all I'm saying.
  6. Dunno if that was directed at my post, but I know it wasn't really Fake News. What I meant is, it's really hard to believe it's true.
  7. You know who knows the Panthers, and Benjamin, WAY better than you (or me, or anyone on this board)? McDermott and Beane. That's who.
  8. Fake news! I mean, it HAS to be, right?
  9. Just started reading. This is one I love Naw, Bra. Sorry.
  10. That was great. Thanks for the memory.
  11. Still getting married. Not sure how lucky that is. (Says a lifelong bachelor.)
  12. 10D Go. I play 1D Tic-tac-toe
  13. My advice: Watch it but mute it.
  14. He also had great hands, which made that 1 1/2-2 year stretch where he dropped a crapload of passes, very odd. He didn't handle the #1 WR position well. And I think he was just smoking way too much pot, although I have no knowledge of that. But he seemed really high, most of the time. He did under-produce in the air for awhile, but he delivered in the run game.
  15. Supposedly, one of the issues Beane had with the team, was the extension of Benjamin. The others didn't want it.
  16. See the humor a good trade brings out? Oh wait, bad trades do, as well.
  17. Every party needs a pooper. Thanks for taking one for the team. Of course you do. You know football, how could you not? Still stunned they pulled this off.
  18. I'm not one to put too much stock in what a HC or GM say about a trade, cut, etc. Typically they say nothing, or something so generic, the press/fans take to "interpreting" the remarks, any way their bias/preconception leads them. Belicheat, particularly, is one who just grunts stuff. But I'm betting there's a lot of truth in this. Making these kinds of decisions is complicated, despite the 'analysys" you see from reporters, or Internet forum experts. They understand there are negatives involved in most any decision. (Still not sure what the negative is in the Kelvin Benjamin deal---but I'm still in the glow.) So, and I rarely do this: Props to Belicheat. But I still don't discount the possibility some cheating, or something shady, went down given who they are.
  19. I LOVE this trade, if it goes down the way I hear it.
  20. A bizarro-world collaboration, but man it works. Both men, nearing 70 years old, at the time. Outrageous!
  21. All this. Brady might be able to play, and play fairly well, to 45, or so. But if he keeps on getting hit (something that didn't happen much, until this year) he will get injured. How badly injured? Who knows? As has been mentioned, no matter how good you condition, bones break. And, as we age, we take longer to mend. The Pats have typically had a QB in the fold who could play, reasonably well, for a few games---even when they had Mallet, but they were lucky and didn't need to start him. I'm guessing they find another decent backup, for next year. This year however, they are playing with fire, IMO.
