  1. Damn that sucks. You hate to see a guy's career end that way.
  2. I stumbled onto the Hall of Fames website today just for kicks. If you haven't ever been there its nice to look at during the regular season because they update the top 20 all-time leaders every week. There's constant changes in some of the categories, mainly passing and receiving. I've noticed quite a few people making an argument for stats for guys like Andre Reed and thurman Thomas, and rightfully so. Whn you look at the top 20 lists as they currently stand though, I don't think stats ar worth a piece of cow dung! Example: Among the top 20 passers in league history(Minimum 1500 attempts) KURT WARNER, DAUNTE CULPEPPER, TOM BRADY, TRENT GREEN, JEFF GARCIA, DREW BREES, BRIAN GRIESE, MATT HASSELBECK, MARK BRUNELL and Brad Johnson. Not exactly what I would call the greatest group of QBs to come out in the last 30 years. Obviously the passer rating system heavily favors the last 15 years of pro football. Conversly, looking at the top receivers of all time: The top ten includes: Andre Reed, Art Monk, Irving Fryar, Henry Ellard, Michael Irvin and Andre Rison. Of all of those, only Irvin is considered by many to a favorite to be voted to the Hall this year. Ellard and Monk have been eligible for years now, and Reed is among the tope ten all time in receptions, yards and TDs. Go figure. Just a topic for debate, anyone care to throw in their 2 cents? 3. Looking at the Bills, Pats and Fins remaining schedule, I'm pretty confident that whoever wins the division will have a 8-8 or 9-7 record. Could be anyone of these three teams but based on past history, I'll go with New Bruschi (We're not worthy!).
  4. This reminds me of the Snickers ad featuring the Bills from the early 90s. f you don't remember, it was marv levy saying to his players, "we're not leaving this room until we figure out how to win the Super Bowl. "Not going anywhere for a while, grab a snickers". Funny sutff, and there was no uproar from Bills fans who wanted to boycott snickers or some crap.
  5. They were not down by just 7 at that point, but you point is well made. You ould think the fans in boston would have enough confidence in their team after inning 3 super bowls that they could stick it out for 4 quarters in their biggest game of the year.
  6. I think its all a moot point really since the entire belief everyone had coming into this season was that we has a top tier defense. we'll be out of it by thanksgiving and then JP will get his starts. I only hope the D can get back to its old form by next year.
  7. I sure hope that is sarcasim, but Brady actually does have a pretty decent arm. I've seen him launch a few sky high 50 yarders!
  8. Probably because the Boston fans made such a big deal about why they nevber won, and always complained about losing to the Yankees. Plus the White Sox were considered the second team in the second city. Its funny saying that now! At least we don't have to hear the Red Sox fans B word all the time anymore!!
  9. Yea I saw that yesterday, just awful. What do you tell the parents?
  10. I was looking for a Sabres post on here! I wouldn't say the Ranmgers are good, but remarkably the Sabres are in first place in the conference, good news, too bad I don't get to see any of their games.
  11. Damn straight!! I thought it was interesting that Woodson picked against the Raiders, he's usually a homer when it comes to Oakland.
  12. Yea I was a little suprised that Woodson pciked the Bills over his former team, he said the only possible way that the Raiders can win is by running the ball, which he doesnt think is possible. Terrell david picks Oakland though, saying they were desparate. Also, on NFL live, Mark Schlereth said the Bills had as good a chance of winning the division as anyone else. Hey, some love is better than none right?
  13. Not being downtown makes it extremely accessible, however not good for the downtown Buffalo economy. That however, is a different post for a different board but a subject that had been beaten to death more than once. Ralph is good, I've been to worse, namely Dun Devil Stadium, which as of now I would rate among the worst.
  14. I don't think 4 games is enough to call the guy a disaster.
  15. The whole dress code thing is ridiculous. The NBA is probably the only league where players don't dress as a team when they go on the road and stuff. Big deal you have to wear a collared shirt, I have to wear a frigging collared sh-- and slacks to work every damn day!!! You don't see me complaining, only that I wish we had jeans day more often. Wear some nice jeans and a friggin collar and nice shoes, then dress however you want when you're not with the team and stop whining!
  16. I used to agree with that, but honestly with the team he has now and the way he is playing, look at the ATL and Denver games as examples.
  17. I would have asked him what he thought about the Bills, then yell MURDERER!!!! and run away.
  18. yea seriously man, lighten up, its 2005 for god sakes!
  19. I love all the Brady bashing, but the Pats are far from done I dont care what anyone says!! We have to realize they have won 3 of 4 super bowls and to never underestimate them at all, cos thats what they want.
  20. Do you really need the Bills record to dictate how much money you will donate? From the sound of your post it seems that you wish they don't finish anywhere near that record so that you can back out of your deal. Even so, how would you prove to anyone here that you actually donated the money, and why should we even care what you do in the first place?
  21. Not saying this as a Bills fan at all, but Teddy, PLEASE DON'T PLAY!! Rest, cos if something happens, if he takes a shot or makes a shot, hard, he could be severely injured for life. I think he should call Larry Mullen and ask why he never returned to the NHL after his stroke.
  22. Not sure how consistent Center Ice is, and if its worth the investment, but I do know that with other packages, such as MLB Extra Innings or College Gameday, not all games are shown. I watch the MLB during one of the free preview weekends and they showed like 1 Oakland game! Gameday only has games covered by ESPN and ABC, which is quite a lot but you are in no way guaranteed to see your team every week.
  23. I agree, this is supposed to be a place where out of town fans can come to talk about the Bills. Enough about this Schopp guy, and hey if he is a MENSA member, he must be very insecure to keep bragging about it!
  24. You know I'm as liberal and as much for civil and personal rights as the next guy, but seriously, Just shut up and go to the damn game!!! He said surrendering rights a little now can lead to greater curbs to freedom later, like being searched at the mall or while walking down the street. So he hopes to put a stop to it. "I'm going to practice what I preach," Johnston said. Well when we stop having nutcases throwing beer bottles and trying to bring knives into the stadiums, I'll be all for no more patdowns. Until then, I'd like to attend a sporting event and feel safe.
  25. If you like that show you should check out playbook, very informative.
