I think you're VASTLY overrating the talent on the roster. Vastly. Davis has been a huge disappointment. Knox has done little to nothing. The RBs are...average. The OL...average. And the defense? Gutted. So, yeah, I think expecting 2-2 in a 4 game stretch is pretty lofty. EDIT: 12-5 may not win the division, let alone secure the #1 seed. Find three more losses for KC

Well, there IS a potential long-term benefit to all this: When Allen's not out there to mask the offensive talent, maybe Beane and McDermott will see fit to actually try and improve it this offseason.

This week's loss and last week's second half were failures of the offense. We need a true #2 receiver. We need more help on the right side of the OL. We need a RB that can carry the load if needed. That's pretty indisputable at this point. The team HAS to start using the draft to stock the offensive cupboard, give Josh what he wants and needs.

I do think he's concussed, secretly. Some of those picks have been MIND-BOGGLING. Also, sad oriole

It's been a battle I've fought since the day he was drafted. You just DON'T draft that position at 9. i wouldn't have felt that way had he been a second rounder.
