  1. The Bills and other teams have to wait and see if Byrd will play this season and at what level. It would be a gamble to guarantee money now that PF is a hard to predict factor.
  2. Bills free safety Jairus Byrd has been limited in practice all week long as he tries to get his ailing feet back to 100 percent health. On Friday Doug Marrone painted a bleak picture for the Pro Bowl safety concerning his chances of playing in Sunday’s season opener against the Patriots. “Byrd has the foot that we’re all aware of and he’s doubtful,” said Marrone following Friday’s practice. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-2/Jairus-Byrd-doubtful-for-Sunday/6414836b-467f-43dc-b63d-81ddb72ef122 I guess 8 months off was not enough healing time
  3. If Byrd can't play 100% and misses games for PF, how could he demand a top pay, guaranteed long term contract? We have to see what he can do in the new system and see if another team will make a fair trade offer.
  4. Don't put him on IR unless warranted. Let him prove to other teams he is worth trading for and big money.
  5. Then trade them before the end of Oct while they are under contract.
  6. This is why a team should extend a player while under contract (last season for Byrd and Levitre ) or trade them. There would be no need for a franchise tag unless you only want a player for 1 more year.
  7. If Byrd did not have the injury problem he has , maybe the bills would have met his demands.
  8. Bills were off to a promising rebuild, and now we have a tyrd in the punch bowl.
  9. agree 100%
  10. Byrd lowered his trade value claiming he's injured. I would settle for a 2nd rd pick now .
  11. With Geno starting , it will be a interesting comparison.
  12. At the time, Dunbar said that he "mistakenly took something that prompted a failed drug test." NFL Network's Michelle Beisner talked to a Rams source who said Dunbar's failed test was not a result of PED use. The decision to dump Dunbar is a curious one. The weakside linebacker was a 16-game starter last season who finished with 115 tackles, 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two interceptions. Something tells us there could be more to the story. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000237857/article/jolonn-dunbar-cut-from-st-louis-rams-suspended-list
  13. Buffalo Bills safety Jairus Byrd will "probably" miss time in the regular season with plantar fasciitis, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. According to Rapoport, Byrd also dealt with the injury over the course of last season, but took shots to be able to play through the injury. http://www.philly.co..._fasciitis.html If Byrd can't know if he can play with any certainty, how could he expect guaranteed multi year of top safety $
  14. Funny picture in today's news of running back coach wearing boxing gloves, trying to knock the ball out of Fred Jacksons hands.
  15. This year is pretty much getting ready for the 2014 season. I would be careful not to make any injuries worse this year. Losing Gilmore is too much to overcome on D
  16. Lions waived White, bills could have picked him up before NE but did not.
  17. Parker is playing russian roulette with Byrd. No long term quaranteed contract, one injury can be all over. We can tag him again next year.
  18. Slim pickens of qbs available, at least we have Thaddeus on the PS.
  19. Washington with 4 qbs might be willing to trade Pat White
  20. I wonder if TJ Graham could play CB
  21. The new trend is guaranteed money multiple years, franchise is just one. If he gets hurt bad under franchise ,thats it, game over.
  22. Trade him asap, we need to keep players like Eric Wood
  23. Ah yes, Winfield, another good player the bills let go in 2003
  24. Hope the bills can reach a off the record long term deal with Byrd or else trade him when healthy.
  25. I just hope Suh sits out tonite's game. I can just hear him singing " my name is Sue , how do you do, now your gonna die"
