Bills met this week about Taylor; it may be up to McDermott

I think McD can choose to keep Taylor or Gilmore but too difficult to afford both. jmo -
If Garoppolo is available for trade, would ya and for what?
ALF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh McCown is no longer employed by the Cleveland Browns, but the veteran quarterback has a strong opinion on whom the team should chase under center. Jimmy Garoppolo. "I've seen him on tape because we had a common opponent in Miami," McCown told Mary Kay Cabot of The Plain Dealer on Thursday. "He made some high-level throws and did some things that would get you excited about his ability to maybe carry a franchise. That's definitely on the tape." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000785185/article/mccown-garoppolo-has-potential-to-carry-a-franchise -

New coaching staff, new playbooks O and D would be difficult to make WC next season even with Taylor. -

Does McD want to keep Taylor or Gilmore , while Brady is still playing? #10 pick for solid player , QB in 2nd rd or later , and go with cheaper FA QB , expensive RT jmo -

If the Bill's had cap space by not keeping Taylor, there's RT Ricky Wagner http://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/2016/12/29/14100832/baltimore-ravens-offseason-priority-1-rt-ricky-wagner -

Chad Kelly: Best place to get drafted? Fox Sports says...
ALF replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Arm strength/ accuracy There probably isn’t a quarterback in the 2017 quarterback class with a stronger arm than Kelly’s. He’s got an absolute cannon and is capable of shredding defenses at all three levels of the field. He throws with touch and anticipation while showing the ability to change the velocity and trajectory on his passes, making Kelly one of the most lethal deep throwers in the nation. http://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/02/09/bills-2017-nfl-draft-targets-ole-miss-qb-chad-kelly-scouting-report/ -

If NE believes J.G. is a starter , showcase him the first 4 games next season . If he is good trade him then. I would think only the Browns would give the first pick in 2nd rd right now. WEAKNESSES Is a tad undersized with small hands and short arms http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/jimmy-garoppolo?id=2543801 -
Rapoport: Hints that Bills Are Likely to Keep Tyrod Taylor
ALF replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Taylor as a bridge but with an incentive contract. If not a cheaper bridge will save cap space to keep FAs and get a FA O RT. Even Fitzy would be ok if the price is right. It's a gamble to get a Carr or Dak so it's possible. As long as Brady is playing , a cheap bridge would do . -
If A. Williams needs to retire and Gilmore leaves for more money , draft the best S or CB at #10 If A,W. and Gilmore stay and Woods leaves, take a WR at #10 I want a sure thing at #10

Should McCown want to remain in Cleveland in another capacity, head coach Hue Jackson said he’s already told McCown that there’s a place for him on the coaching staff. “He’s made of the right stuff,” Jackson said. “He knows what it takes to coach and play in this league, and he’s going to be a rising star in this profession if that’s what he chooses to do.” http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/12/29/josh-mccown-plans-to-play-in-2017-but-has-another-option-available hmmm

New head coach Sean McDermott and his staff have been reviewing film of Taylor and discussing whether or not they believe he should be the team’s starting quarterback in 2017. That decision has not yet been made, I’m told. http://www.wgr550.com/Bills-still-weighing-options-with-Taylor-Gilmore/23009185 -

I just hope Romo isn't interested in the Bills. Do not want to give up a high draft pick while trying to draft a QB. He will be 37 in April 2010 -- Broken left collarbone. 2013 -- Ruptured disk 2014 -- Two transverse process fractures 2015 -- Broken left collarbone 2015 -- Broken left collarbone , he suffered a re-break in the healed portion. 2016 -- Compression fracture, L1 vertebra http://www.espn.com/blog/dallas/cowboys/post/_/id/4753377/a-look-at-tony-romos-injury-history The recent injuries with the best OL
